Monread Lodge can provide residential, nursing and dementia care to the elderly, with up to sixty-four en-suite rooms available, all ground-floor accommodation for the ease of those with mobility concerns, and private parking and gardens.

A dedicated dementia unit named Knebworth Court was opened in October 2010 offering 16 appointed en-suite bedrooms. Residents can enjoy a spacious conservatory, choice of comfortable lounges and a dining room. There is also a central courtyard with a ornamental fishpond.

The home has an excellent inspection rating, looks to implement any modern methods and technology that can improve the lives and well-being of residents and follows person-centred care packages tailored to individual needs.

Staff maintain a sensitive attitude towards the concerns of loved ones, work hard to assure that admissions are as stress-free as possible and that new residents are made to feel welcome and at home.

I can't praise the home enough. My aunt went into the home for end of life care and I couldn't find fault with the service provided to my aunt in her last days of her life.
In particular, the home manager who was extremely attentive care comfortable for my aunt and kept my mum and I informed of everything
that was going on.

I can't praise all the staff highly enough. Their care and dedication is second to none. Their affection for the people in their care is very apparent. Nothing is too much trouble from the manager to the maintenance man. My Brother was in the home for the past 7 1/2 years. He passed away a few days
ago. The loving care he received in his final days was heartwarming. It made a difficult time for me more bearable. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

My Mother recently had an eye operation and neither my Sister or I could accompany her due to family and work commitments. Consequently, Monread staff and management cared and supported her throughout the whole process. They were quite simply excellent. Thank you so much for your professional and caring

The carers are patient, caring and helpful, they always treat residents with dignity and try to cater for individual needs as much as realistic.
They take time to listen even when a resident is repetitive due to their dementia. The home is clean and easy to move around in.

What strikes me here compared to other homes is the amount of staff always here. Pretty much all are happy and very helpful and caring which is lovely to see. The only thing she'd like more of is activities each day as she is so with it.
