Overall Experience

My sister in law was a resident in Iden Manor for just over two years when we decided that she needed to move care homes, When she first went to Iden Manor she had residents to talk to, but as the time we t on we noticed that she was having fewer and fewer residents she could interact with, obviously this wasn't the fault of the care home as they were taking in residents that needed care and they just happened to be residents with dementia. The care home were very kind and caring and the lifestyle and activity staff were exemplary in trying to keep the residents engaged and their minds active, the communication towards the end of her stay there between her, staff and management started to get a bit hit and miss, often messages sent were not delivered or requests were not followed up. When she left 1/2 of her discharge papers related to another resident and we had to request them as they were not sent with her to her new care home. Iden Manor did their best

My brother stayed at this home for 6 months following a lengthy spell in hospital. His goal was always to return home which has happened and I think Iden Manor helped him achieve that goal. The staff were always kind and whilst there he joined the many activities and had trips out. Everyone was always friendly and the set up took away some of the care home feel and gave it an hotel feeling especially in the dining room. Thank you to everyone

My wife has a difficult form of dementia and two previous nursing placements could not meet her needs I was in despair and because she did not fit into the easy to care bracket was shunned until I was told of Iden Manor.
They assessed her and took her on and within two weeks my wife has settled and is a different person.
From the manager down they care and do not pigeon hole a sufferer and treat each one as an individual.
She is not as difficult as others thought but needed the right care and Iden Manor has it on spades.

Thank you Iden and I would recommend this place anytime

My Father has dementia. Trying to look after him at home was becoming beyond my and his partners capabilities. I just didn't realise how we both had just run out of strength looking after him ! So I made the decision to phone Iden Manor. Within 30 minutes we had a home visit from Iden Manor to be accessed. A further 60 minutes a team arrived and taxed him to Iden Manor. Once we walked through the doors we knew we have chosen a correctly. All the staff had smiles and laughter with a warm friendly approach.

The care my sister is receiving is absolutely amazing.
My sister has very complex medical needs due to a serious fall, resulting in a brain injury, but the compassion and care she is given is second to none.

All the staff and management are the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to be caring for a loved one.

A beautiful facility with a host of great carers and nurses who are always on hand to either assist or just ready with a cheery word. The room is large and comfortable which we could fully personalise for dad. There are daily activities and residents are encouraged to participate. Dad is very happy there. He never has a bad word to say even if he does forget where he is. He has total freedom to wander the house or grounds and we feel relaxed knowing that someone is keeping theirs eyes on him. The staff are always open to suggestions or alterations in dad's car plan. The lounges are huge and lovely. You can sit alone and quietly or with others. There is so much space!

Incredible personalised care and support for my mum who has dementia and gets very anxious. My sister came to Iden Manor in December 2023, and the manager and staff have been very attentive and helpful in making her settling-in months as smooth as possible. I feel that my sister is treated in every way as a person with particular needs and quirks. Every concern and suggestion made by myself and my sister's husband are not just listened to, but acted upon, from the furnishings and arrangements of her room to her needs for personal care and monitoring. Several months on, I am grateful to be experiencing a new peace of mind regarding my sister's well-being. Iden Manor provides a really home-like setting for its residents as well as a social environment that my sister can participate in or withdraw from as her mood and wellness each day allow.

“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to lead the fabulous team within the magnificent home and grounds of Iden Manor. I was initially drawn to the home, in the role of quality assurance manager by the splendor of the surroundings, the person focused values of the owner, but have since come to truly respect and admire the care, support and affection the team share with the residents and relatives within the home. It is so wonderful to be part of a team who care about our residents, not just for them.

I, have been within the care industry since I was a young 18yr old girl, working as a healthcare worker in a nursing home, and shortly after commencing my mental health nurse training. I have always been passionate that the care and support that I offer is the best it can possibly be, and thus have continued to gain a breadth of experience in many different areas of health and social care, including obtaining MScs in both mental health and social work, and managing health and social care, and continued to also teach within both NHS and private care settings. Supporting people in need is such a privilege and one of the most rewarding jobs, challenging at times yes, but immensely rewarding. I too have travelled the journey with my mother when she was diagnosed with dementia, and I am fully understanding and empathetic as to the emotions, challenges and worries that are associated with having others caring for someone so precious. That is why I am so pleased to be with a team whom I am proud to say can deliver that caring, effective, responsive safe and loving environment we all want.”
