Staplehurst Manor is a very homely and welcoming place to live. My wife and I visit my mother every day and are always made to feel part of her home. All the staff are very professional in their individual fields. We have joined my mother several times for dinner and found the food to be delicious and well presented. We are so pleased with the care of my mother that we will 'book our future places' there.

I will have worked at Staplehurst Manor for 20 years this September. I started as a chef assistant, completed my level 3 apprenticeship and was promoted to chef manager, and I've not looked back since.

I work with the most amazing people who really, genuinely care about what they do and about the residents in our home. No day is the same and it feels like having a huge extended family here.

I live locally with my husband, daughter and our Labrador who we enjoy going on long walks. I am a huge Chelsea FC fan and I even got the chance to watch the 2012 Champions League final in Munich.

During my time here I've passed my Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship and I'm currently working towards my Level 5 Leadership in Adult Care apprenticeship so I can become a qualified manager.

My favourite thing about working here is how friendly all our teams are, it really feels like a family to anybody that walks through the door.

Outside of work, I have a big passion for animals, and since moving in with my partner I've adopted 4 fur babies in the past 2 years.

Julie TaylorJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2000

I have worked in Staplehurst Manor since 2017, and I began my career with Bupa in 2000. I started as a carer and progressed through different roles.

My previous job roles include carer, senior carer, team leader, deputy unit manager, unit manager and home manager.

My career in the sector began as an Auxiliary Nurse in a hospital. I was in this role for 3 years and left to start a family. When my youngest child turned 9, returned to work as a carer in a Bupa Care Home.

I was one of the first carers to complete their NVQ as they were introduced right as I began my role as a carer, and it gave me the opportunity to travel around other Bupa Care Homes as an NVQ assessor which was a great experience.

I always go home feeling proud that I have provided a service that makes someone feel safe and happier.

When I began to work at Staplehurst Manor, I fell in love with the area and the countryside so I decided to move close to the home where I now live with my family.
