Mum went to Whitstable Nursing Home two weeks ago. Myself, family and her care worker saw her today. What a change in Mum! She looked settled and happy, very animated (previously suffering from depression). Mum looked well cared for and the staff could not be more caring.

My mum was in Whitstable Nursing Home for nearly two years. Prior to lockdown, family were allowed to visit daily and were always welcomed, and all of our questions regarding her care were always answered. Any minor issues were always dealt with promptly and professionally. We were very pleased with
Mum's care, especially as she was unable to get out of bed. All management and staff were professional, caring and supportive throughout her stay. During Covid lockdown, visiting was stopped, but staff always welcomed daily visits/chats at the door to discuss how Mum was, which was a great comfort to my dad and I. A very big thank you to everyone at Whitstable Nursing Home from all of the family.

My 90-year-old mother was admitted to Whitstable Nursing Home over a year ago following a fall in her home which meant she was no longer able to live alone. This was a very distressing time for her knowing she was going to have to leave her home. The minute we entered the home we knew mum would be happy
and safe. My mother has been at Whitstable Care Home for over a year now. Whenever I visit my mother I find the staff are very friendly, welcoming and always cheerful and willing to spend time for a chat. The care which my mother has received has been excellent, she is treated with kindness, caring and especially dignity which seems to make her feel relaxed, happy and safe. I would highly recommend Whitstable Nursing Home.

A home, exactly what Whitstable Nursing Home is. The care given to my Mum was simply the best. The staff talked to my Mum like family. Every minute of every day my Mum was treated so kindly. First name terms all the time. Nothing was any trouble. Whatever food my Mum asked for she got, which was excellent.
Very suitable for the age group. I simply cannot praise this place enough. 200 words not enough. Thank you to all at Whitstable Nursing Home for looking after my beloved Mum.

In my opinion, this nursing home is very clean and odour free. The staff are very caring, friendly and helpful. The residents seem happy but sometimes a little bored. The carer in charge of activities is marvellous but needs help.

A quality home offering excellent care and facilities. Always staff on hand to answer any questions. What was really nice, but noticeable in other homes, no nasty smell ie., urine or food.

My mother came to this home in October 2018. From this first day, she was treated with care and dignity from all members of management and staff. No problem was too small for them all to be helpful with, right from the manager, down to the domestic staff and everyone in between. The nurses and carers
have very high standards and always done everything with a smile and a laugh to make my mother as happy as possible. I would also like to mention the staff in the kitchen, as nothing was too much trouble for them. My mother was very lucky to have been with such caring people.

It is with pleasure we are able to write and give a positive review. We are very impressed with the overall care/nursing service being given to our Mum. Her room is always spotless and tidy as is she. The staff (all), manager, carers, cleaners and kitchen staff have built up a rapport with Mum slowly
and gently as they are aware her dementia takes her on various journeys daily. The atmosphere is excellent, light, friendly, added to this is their approach to us, the family, realising it has been an emotional time. The support has been welcome, they are always stressing this is Mum's new home and they want and encourage us to use it as such. Thank you and carry on with the amazing work.

My mother was cared for in the last 3 months of her life in Whitstable Nursing Home. The staff made her last months a happy experience and looked after her very well.
The support and friendship they showed my family and myself made the whole experience a positive one and their kindness was really appreciated

Overall the care provided is very good, the carers are generally considerate, gentle, well-trained and treat residents with dignity. Some are extraordinarily kind. There is sometimes a lack of consistency and perhaps shortage of staff which means, for example, they don't have enough time to encourage
an incapacitated resident (my elderly father, bed-ridden with 5th stage Parkinsons) to drink enough fluids, leading to dehydration. Particularly during this summer, this should take priority.

A real home from home. All the staff are friendly, caring and so helpful. My dad is relaxed, happy and comfortable. The food is very good. He is cared for so much better than I could at home. The staff have kept us informed all the time and really care about my dad.

My mother has resided in Whitstable Nursing Home for the past year. She has improved greatly in health and wellbeing which is due to the ongoing dedication, care and support given by all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Any health issues are acted on promptly and I am kept informed. Various stimulating
sessions take place and the home often arranges to have outside entertainment come in, public holidays are celebrated with enthusiasm when visiting my mother we are always made welcome.

My mother had to go into Whitstable Nursing Home in March 2017 as I couldn't look after her anymore, the best thing we ever did.
The staff are so kind to my mum.
She has put on weight and the food is lovely.
The manager is on the ball, any problems are sorted straight away.
It is like a home from
home.
I so enjoy going to see her as I feel all the staff are like my friends.

My mother has received excellent care since arriving at Whitstable Nursing Home, almost three years ago. My mother appears to be very happy and relaxed. I think that the home provides a very good service and there is a very happy, family atmosphere. The home provides a very good food menu and wonderful
activities. The hard-working staff have great empathy with the residents.

I have worked at Whitstable Nursing Home since 2008. I have been a qualified RGN for 11 years and have worked at K&C Hospital on several wards, the stroke unit, the elderly rehab and general medicine. I am very Passionate about high standards of care at Whitstable, and I am very proud of the team I have around me. I am forever striving to find new ways of shaping the Care we provide at Whitstable, to ensure that it is a place where every individual living here can be proud to call home.
