Dad has received great care at Freeland House. The staff have been professional, friendly and helpful. He has particularly praised the quality of the food - comparing it to fine dining. I have found the staff really friendly and will always do everything they can to help me. I thoroughly recommend Freeland House.

Freeland House has proved to be an excellent choice of care home for my wife who had been a resident for 18 months suffering from Parkinson's and Dementia. The staff are very caring and considerate to her needs at all times.

My grandma has been in Freeland House since January 2020. Staff are lovely. Encourage her to join in with the groups. They have worked very hard with her to make her feel at home. I would really recommend this home to anyone.

Thank you to the manager and all of her staff for looking after my husband over nearly three weeks before he sadly passed away. The care and compassion and dignity they afforded my husband was exemplary. I thank them for the boundless drinks of hot chocolate while I sat with my husband throughout his last day. Thank you for your kindness.

Mum has been at Freeland since December 2015 and has had wonderful care ever since. In February this year she became very ill with the flu and a chest infection and I have been moved to write this review. I just want to thank the staff for all the love, kindness and support they have shown not only mum but also me, through this difficult time. Thanks to the amazing care given she has recovered from her illness and is being kept comfortable while everyone tries to encourage her back to strength. Staff throughout the house go above and beyond to provide a high level of care and it is always provided with respect and a warm smile. I am full of admiration and so grateful for all the work they do and how well they work as one big team - thank you all.

Thank you for looking after mum for the last two months. All the staff have a very difficult job looking after residents with dementia depending on the severity of it. Unfortunately, mum had a fall and sadly died. The staff at Freeland are extremely good. The matron and her team work well together. My overall view is this is a very good nursing home with caring staff.

My grandmother is currently here for respite, for the second time.
The care she has received so far has been above and beyond. All her needs are always met, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
She enjoys the entertainment provided and always looks forward to forthcoming events.
We, as a family, feel very happy that she is in such a lovely environment and that she is always very happy and content when we visit.

Thank you for all your hard work.

My stay with the care home is very nice. Everyone is very caring, clean and there is plenty of food. I am a short stay resident, although my stay is coming up to 6 weeks or more. Everyone makes you feel so welcome. I have to move shortly and I will miss everyone connected with Freeland House. My comments refer to all staff, carers, cleaners and all people involved.

Overall we are pleased with the quality of mum's care. Activities for residents and social events for residents have been impressive. There have been occasions of staff shortages, which is not ideal when staff on duty have been under pressure to provide full care. Care charges are very expensive.

My mother has been in Freeland House about 16 months. She is bedridden so has to rely on staff more. Frequently we find her buzzer/bell is out of reach. Also when food is brought to her, she is not sitting up enough to eat it, as it is at eye level. The staff are always very kind but rushed, as so much work for them to do. I do have concerns about the quality of the food, it's very poor 50% of the time. Much of it does not look home cooked and poor quality. More could be done to entertain people who are bedridden with dementia. If some of the entertainers visited individual rooms it would be stimulating.
