Welcome to The Grange Care Centre in Faringdon. Situated in the tranquil village of Stanford in the Vale, the charming home offers 24-hour nursing care for adults, on a long-term basis or for short-term respite care. They are blessed with a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment.

The Grange comprises 40 single bedrooms and 4 companion rooms for couples wishing to share. Most of the bedrooms are equipped with an en-suite W.C. and a hand basin. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the home's light and airy communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At The Grange, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. The team empowers individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. As well as being encouraged to enjoy the home's landscaped gardens, residents also enjoy regular days out and seasonal trips further afield.

The Grange's professional catering team delivers nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing to all its residents. The professional food suppliers specialise in delivering high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.

Friendly, helpful staff. Had difficult times during Covid as lots of places have but continues to maintain good communication throughout. Mum says she likes staying at the home and that the ‘nurses’ are all very nice.

My mother needed a care home after a brief illness. I knew people who had been to the Grange and had been very happy with the care. On recommendation, I rang the home and found the staff answering the phone very helpful. My mother is now a resident at The Grange, she is very happy and has settled in
well. I cannot fault the staff and have been blown away by how welcome my mum and I have felt.

Finding a nursing home for a family member is not easy. My brother was unable to look himself so he had to rely on me. Everyone has been so helpful and kind. The decision to choose The Grange was the right one, my brother has been very happy and is so well looked after. I would strongly recommend this

My mum needed a care home and The Grange came highly recommended by people in the local area. My mum has been very happy and if Mum's happy, then so am I. It was definitely the right choice for my mum. She loves the staff and enjoys being in her new home.

Mum needed rest and care after a few days in hospital, following a minor stroke. There was no question as to where she would go, as The Grange had looked after Dad so well for the last year of his life. The manager and the team welcomed Mum so gladly and gave her that crucial rest that allowed her to
get home again in good time. Wonderful care and attention are offered at any time. What a gem!

I can’t recommend The Grange highly enough. At such a sad and difficult time for us all, they cared for Mum so very well. We were kept informed of her care and any problems arising. Sadly, Mum did not get full use of all the facilities, nor was she able to fully appreciate the comfort of her room. She
did mention the lovely view of the green from her window.

My mum spent 2 weeks at The Grange for respite care earlier this year, the care and support she received was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Mum told the manager 'Your staff are the jewel in your crown'.

My mum required nursing home care following a stroke. The Grange was recommended as a homely and caring place and that has proved to be the case. Mum was a resident for two years until her death, and the senior nursing team and most of the staff were the same throughout that time; something we particularly
appreciated during the restrictions caused by the pandemic as we were able to have confidence Mum was in capable and caring hands. The staff have coped heroically during the pandemic and were particularly understanding and helpful during the difficult last weeks of Mum's life.

My mother was admitted as an emergency back in February, and we were, as a family just told of her admittance. We had no choice, but that choice or lack of it(!) has been the right one for mother. She is safe, secure, brilliantly looked after and supported by the team who really do genuinely care! As

My mother-in-law has been extremely well looked after and cared for, especially during the pandemic when circumstances have been difficult for everyone. The opportunity to contact by videophone and very recently, external visits, has been very welcome and cheered up the resident as well as getting some

The Grange were brilliant when taking our dad in. It was an awful scenario of his admission into hospital, a stay of some eight weeks, then a premature discharge. They visited in hospital and secured his placement even without a second discharge date. We were so happy that he was able to go to The
Grange literally a couple of days before lockdown.

The staff at The Grange have always been friendly and helpful, and we feel that my father could not be in a safer place with his increasing level of infirmity. Although it is a very 'homely' environment, it is run with a reassuring level of professionalism, and we cannot fault the home.

I cannot praise 'The Grange' enough for their swift response at the beginning of the 'Covid-19' outbreak, doors being shut meant not being able to visit my Mother but the staff would 'facetime' me so that I could speak with her and see that she was alright. My Mother had a very nasty chest infection
and the staff kept me up to date with her progress and the reports from the Doctor. The staff have now made provision for me to visit at a safe distance which is very much appreciated as my Mother is 93 years old with vascular dementia. I feel that the manager and her team have made excellent decisions regarding this awful outbreak and I am happy for them to continue doing what they think is best! My sincere thanks are sent to all the wonderful staff at 'The Grange' for all the hard work that they have put into protecting the residents. Thank you once again.

The care home seems to have coped well in the covid-19 virus situation. Being allowed to see my mother weekly playing within the set rules. I cannot comment on the standard of food since March, due to not being able to check it out. Staff are always helpful with requirements. Also, thanks for the staffs

My mother has been a resident at The Grange for the past year. She settled in well and that is entirely due to the kindness and expertise of the staff. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Before the virus, the residents had regular entertainment, visits from choirs, birds of prey, even a Shetland pony!
I know that since the lockdown staff have continued to do their very best to give the residents a stimulating environment and reassurance. The standard of infection control at The Grange has been extremely high and relatives are now able to visit their relatives as long as guidelines are followed. During this unprecedented time its been a huge relief to know that my mother is safe and well cared for and has plenty of company and companionship as well as the highest standard of care from the lovely staff.

I am fortunate to have had The Grange in my life for over 35 years, it has been a constant delight and source of great comfort and support to me and my family over the years. I am extremely passionate about The Grange and consider myself lucky to be employed to do something I love so much. I always put our residents first and will never let The Grange down.
