From the moment my mother-in-law arrived the warm and inviting atmosphere made her feel right at home. The staff are truly compassionate and professional.

The Grange Care Centre has exceeded my expectations in providing exceptional care and support for my mother-in-law. I know that she is in capable and caring hands.

My husband came to The Grange Care Centre in early December 2023, as an Alzheimer's patient, and I can honestly say that I have nothing but praise for all the staff and the care he receives. There is such a kind, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There is real caring care, cheerfulness and compassion and patience. Everything is spotless. As a visiting family member, I am also made most welcome and made to feel as though it is my home too. The food always smells very tempting and I have even been invited to have lunch with my husband. I had a delicious Christmas lunch with him.

I also appreciate that there is a lot of interaction from the staff with my husband, either doing personal care or doing repositioning or taking him to the lounge, feeding him etc. which means there is a lot of personal contact for my husband which I know will mean a lot to him, although he is not able to express it any more.

I have been visiting my Father at The Grange Care Centre on a daily basis for quite a while now and I am very happy with the care he is receiving. The care staff are wonderful and have built up a great rapport with my father. I, too, am made to feel very welcome when visiting - it's like calling in on family. It is also a real comfort to know that if there is a medical problem the nursing staff are on hand.
Everybody in the office is exceptionally kind and friendly, always there to give any help or advice.

I am very happy with the way my father is being looked after.

My neighbour went into The Grange after a period of illness which meant he could no longer care for himself. From the first to the last day he spent there, the amazing staff treated him with care, compassion and love.
It's not called a 'care centre' for nothing: literally, everyone at The Grange cares! It's their default setting. Everyone is so nice! Even as a visitor, I was made so welcome and could see a really positive change in the person I was visiting. The nurses were brilliant and the level of care was the best I've seen anywhere.
Setting-wise, it's lovely and quiet with the birds and the church clock as a very relaxing background. Communal areas are light and bright and the rooms look very comfortable and spacious for those preferring their own company.

I would thoroughly recommend The Grange to anyone - I might just go there myself when the time comes!

The Grange is a great place with kind and supportive staff, who are always kind and caring. They go out of their way to make sure Mum has everything she needs. They know my mum really well, and she loves spending time in the lounge with her friends.

Staff are warm and welcoming, they always greet me with a smile. My friend loves being at The Grange and joins in all the activities. She looks forward to spending time with her friends in the lounge. The dining room is inviting and meals are very tasty. I knew from the minute I first arrived at The Grange that it was the right place for my friend to be.

I don't think my wife could be in a better care home. When you're in your final weeks and days, the only thing that really matters is the quality of care, 24 hours a day. All the staff we met who looked after my wife were absolutely amazing. I don't need to mention names as they are all fantastic, incredibly caring people. Amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of them.

My husband came to the Grange potluck from hospital, with different ailments. I was hesitant at first, so I stayed at the Grange a couple of nights to reassure myself that my husband was OK. Well to my delight, all was amazing and there was certainly no need to worry - all the staff were wonderful. My husband was extremely well looked after in all ways - from washing, shaving, dressing and helping him to eat. I was made very welcome and was also offered food, as I travelled a distance from our home. On the days I couldn't travel, I was kept informed about my husband so I didn't worry, as I knew he was in caring hands. Sadly, my husband passed away in August but I'm so grateful for the outstanding care my husband received from all the members of staff. A wonderful team. I can't thank you enough.

My Mother has resided in The Grange Care Centre for five years, the care is continuously outstanding and the core staff remain year after year and that makes for a happy family atmosphere that is well respected and trusted. It gives my Mother and the other residents stability which I believe is massively important to them.

Friendly, helpful staff. Had difficult times during Covid as lots of places have but continues to maintain good communication throughout. Mum says she likes staying at the home and that the ‘nurses’ are all very nice.

My mother needed a care home after a brief illness. I knew people who had been to the Grange and had been very happy with the care. On recommendation, I rang the home and found the staff answering the phone very helpful. My mother is now a resident at The Grange, she is very happy and has settled in well. I cannot fault the staff and have been blown away by how welcome my mum and I have felt.

My mum needed a care home and The Grange came highly recommended by people in the local area. My mum has been very happy and if Mum's happy, then so am I. It was definitely the right choice for my mum. She loves the staff and enjoys being in her new home.

Mum needed rest and care after a few days in hospital, following a minor stroke. There was no question as to where she would go, as The Grange had looked after Dad so well for the last year of his life. The manager and the team welcomed Mum so gladly and gave her that crucial rest that allowed her to get home again in good time. Wonderful care and attention are offered at any time. What a gem!

I can’t recommend The Grange highly enough. At such a sad and difficult time for us all, they cared for Mum so very well. We were kept informed of her care and any problems arising. Sadly, Mum did not get full use of all the facilities, nor was she able to fully appreciate the comfort of her room. She did mention the lovely view of the green from her window.

My mum spent 2 weeks at The Grange for respite care earlier this year, the care and support she received was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Mum told the manager 'Your staff are the jewel in your crown'.

Thank you for all you did to support my mum at a very difficult time for her.

My mum required nursing home care following a stroke. The Grange was recommended as a homely and caring place and that has proved to be the case. Mum was a resident for two years until her death, and the senior nursing team and most of the staff were the same throughout that time; something we particularly appreciated during the restrictions caused by the pandemic as we were able to have confidence Mum was in capable and caring hands. The staff have coped heroically during the pandemic and were particularly understanding and helpful during the difficult last weeks of Mum's life.

As Home Manager at The Grange Care Centre, I am proud to lead such a caring and dedicated team. With over 20 years of experience in social care, and having grown up in a village myself, leading a care home rooted in village life feels genuinely special to me. I joined Forest Healthcare in February 2026, and my approach has always been the same: to ensure every person in our care is treated with the same warmth and dignity we would want for our own families.
