Forest Healthcare's vision is to transform the perception and experience of care from something driven out of necessity to something that represents a positive choice for improved quality of life.

Forest Healthcare provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care for over 650 residents across South East England. Since opening their first home in 1994 they have grown and now employ over 1000 highly skilled workers whose primary role is to provide clients and families with the very best person-centred care available.

In addition to providing high quality 24-hour residential nursing care for elderly persons aged 65 to 100 years and over, they offer respite, postoperative care and crisis intervention services. Several of their facilities cater to younger clients aged 18 and above, including those suffering from neurological and spinal conditions. Other facilities offer more specialist care for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, MS, brain injuries, stroke rehabilitation and challenging behaviour.

As a group, Forest Healthcare runs 13 individual care centres in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, London and Norfolk. Their Centre Managers are all vastly experienced and have proven track records in the care industry. They are supported by a dedicated Operational Care Team, many of whom were former Centre Managers themselves.

Their primary objective is to improve the quality of life of the people they care for. They seek to promote independence, choice and dignity of the individual and believe that people must be safe and secure at all times, whilst providing a relaxed and stimulating environment that motivates them to live a full and happy life.

I had to make a difficult decision for my mum due to myself becoming ill , Sadly she only stayed in Warren Lodge from August to November 2025 when she passed but I can honestly say even though it was hard to have her move out of her home I couldn't have asked for better care that the staff at Warren
Lodge gave to my mum, Goce the manager and all the staff was so understanding, kind and patient and also gave me a warm welcome whenever I visited , I couldn't have been happier to see my mum looking so good with the care they all provided to keep my mum looking clean and well presented, and how clean the home is and the meals looked very appetising , I thank you all so much for your dedication, I would recommend anyone to go to Warren Lodge and experience the wonderful care they provide and lovely atmosphere there, thank you all so very much .

My husband was in Hassingham for two weeks respite last July and again in January. He was looked after so well, all staff are so kind, friendly, helpful and go out of their way to meet residents needs. He settled into life there well. They all put my mind at rest that I was doing the right thing
getting respite. I have no hesitation if the need arises putting him into Hassingham again. Thank you to each and everyone of the staff.

My father arrived a Hassingham House due to a fall in another home on end of life care and we weren't expecting him to last 24 hours. That was 30 months ago!
All the staff have looked after him with dignity and care, nursing him back to health, extending his life and allowing us to spend more time
with him than we ever expected.
Care has been excellent, the people who work there really make the place a home, definitely recommend it.

My wife initially came here on respite but we realised after just a couple of weeks that Hassingham House was the place she needed to be.
The biggest factor for me is the staff and the fact that they really do care about the residents. That's not just the care and nursing staff, but also the housekeeping
team, the kitchen team and the management. They also seem to care about us as residents family members and I have always had a warm, caring and friendly welcome and feel listened to when I have any comments about my wife's care to make.
Whilst it was the most difficult thing I've done to put my wife into full-time care after caring for her myself became too difficult, I now rest assured that she is well looked after and in the best place to meet all her needs with her young onset dementia.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful care home to anyone looking for a kind, nurturing environment for their loved one. After a nasty fall at home, we contacted Woodlands Park for urgent respite care. Following a visit arranged within half an hour of my call, my Mother-in-Law decided that
the home had a lovely feel to it and she would be happy to stay there. Despite it being late in the day, the staff pulled out all the stops to allow her to move in straight away. I will always be extremely grateful for the concern and kindness shown during what was a very difficult time for us. When she had a serious medical episode soon after arriving, which may not have raised concerns elsewhere, they knew her so well that they immediately called for an ambulance and almost certainly saved her life. From being critically ill in hospital, since returning she has improved beyond all expectation, undoubtedly due to the care she has received. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

My Dad was a resident at Grace Manor, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support he received from everyone we encountered there. The home itself is in an excellent location with ample parking, superb facilities, and daily activities for all the residents. The care staff seem to take
a genuine interest in the residents and their families. I would 100% recommended Grace Manor if your relative needs support from a specialist Dementia home.

My sister has been in Warren Lodge, Finchampstead for sometime now and at first I was nervous about visiting her but there was absolutely no need for me to be. My sister is very happy, and is very well cared for and she loves the staff. Her room is lovely and she has been able to have some of her favourite
things surround her. The staff are amazing, they are so welcoming each time I visit. As I live in Yorkshire my visits are infrequent nevertheless they always find us space to sit so we can visit and be with her for as long as we want. I would highly recommend you watch the videos they post, you get a real sense of the home and you can see how happy the residents are. It was her birthday at the beginning of January and it was lovely to see her birthday celebration video with all her family and staff singing to her.

I was most impressed by Pinehurst and all whom I met there. Everyone I met, including the Registered Manager, was positive, enthusiastic and delightful. During the course of my wife's stay there , I was particularly struck by the positive response to difficult behaviour on my wife's part. There
was no word of criticism. The immediate reaction was "What can we do to help?" It was accepted that people with advanced Alzheimer's can't control their behaviour and our job is to help them cope. I came away with a feeling of great relief that we had indeed found the right place for my wife to spend her future.

The Grange Care Centre

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
First impressions of The Grange may frankly not be the best: no plush reception area with hairdressing salon; no wide expanse of expensive carpet. Newer, bespoke care homes will often boast higher levels of facilities. However, the level of personal care that The Grange provided would be extremely hard
to match. This is a nursing home where everyone cares. What was important for my aunt and me was the quality of the medical/care support she received and how she was treated. She had wanted to stay at home till the end, but after less than a week she asked me to "sell my home and let me stay here!" The carers and the nursing staff were all exceptional. Always popping a head round the door, always a cheerful word. There are qualified nurses on hand 24/7, sometimes three at a time, and they are experienced and kind. My aunt loved both the male and female carers and everyone from manager to the service staff were wonderful to deal with. I recommend The Grange for kind, professional care.

Mum was admitted to the Poplars Care Centre following a short spell in hospital after a mild stroke for continuing healthcare. I visit every day and the staff always make me feel very welcome. Mum needs a high level of care and the staff attend to her needs in a caring and friendly manor making her
as comfortable as possible. Her room is comfortable and is always clean. Facilities are good and although mum is unable to participate fully. There is a good social atmosphere among the staff and residents. This is our first experience of a care home and we have been pleased with how mum is being cared for.

My impression of the home was one of warmth where individuals are valued and respected. The staff were active, caring and importantly light-hearted, chatting with residents and relatives. As a visitor I felt welcome and staff were more than willing to show me around. The staff also were more than welcoming
to my sister's husband who visits daily, enabling him to eat with my sister when appropriate. They had special treatment on their anniversary.
