Belmont Lodge is a calm and happy place. Staff are always welcoming of family and speak fondly of my Grandad. I know they know him and have developed a bond wtih him. He is happy here. Thank you.

I looked at many care homes before choosing Belmont lodge for my mum. I've never known a home that has such wonderful staff. They are genuinely kind and caring. The activities and entertainment are second to none
My mum has settled really well and is as happy as I've ever seen her and has made lots
of friends
I finally have peace of mind
Thank you Belmont

We are delighted with the loving care my mother receives at Belmont Lodge. She is so happy and settled here. I feel very confident of the care mum is getting and because of this I feel so much more relaxed. I would recommend Belmont Lodge to anyone.

She is treated with the upmost of dignity & care and is happy and further more so are the other residents. The staff/management communication is excellent. Belmont Lodge staff have been brilliant in helping my mother-in-law settle in. They've really taken the time to get to know both her and the rest of the family - always making us feel welcome too. It is so reassuring to know she is well cared for. We are very grateful to them all.

We had so much trouble with my FIL suffering at other care homes before and since being transferred to Belmont lodge the change in his mood and overall health is not only visible but incredible and we are forever grateful to all the staff and managers who work here. Everytime we visit every single staff
member is welcoming with a smile and actually willing to help you with anything you ask. Both the residents and staff seem very happy here and it's a pleasure to see. The rooms are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness as are the communal areas, bathrooms and corridors. Bedrooms are warm and staff are attentive to each resident, not only checking in but actually going in and having a conversation with them. Food looks great and our dad is a picky eater but has been doing very well with nutrition since going there, again thanks to the staff who are so attentive and caring. We couldn't be more pleased with the care home, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your hard wor

I have enjoyed my short stay at Belmont Care Home. Lovely staff, helpful and pleasant - and hard - working. I have met interesting people among the residents. I feel my recovery has been helped considerably by the care. Catering was extremely varied and enjoyable.

The majority of the staff at Belmont Lodge are brilliant. Unfortunately the care home is run down, has a strong smell of urine and is lacking general upkeep. You are made to feel unwelcome while visiting your family member, visiting stops at 4pm meaning its very difficult to go after work as you are
refused at the door. Overall the care is good but the care home itself is in need of a serious upgrade, there isn't anywhere for you to sit privately with your family member and Unfortunately have to be huddled up in their room. The bedrooms are dated as are the bathrooms - very basic living space. Carpets are dirty as is the floor, which in some places is held down with tape. The garden again is need of some TLC. I would recommend this care home based on some of the staff members but not for the facility itself.
Reply from Amanda Scott, Chief Executive Officer at Belmont Lodge Care CentreThank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that Belmont Lodge did not meet your expectations when you visited us. We are delighted to hear the positive comments about the team and care standards, but very disappointed to hear your comments about the environment, which is currently under renovation. I am happy to confirm that we don't set time limits on visits and would like to invite you to meet me, the Home Manager, at the home and discuss this, along with your other concerns.

Happy, friendly staff make happy residents.
Treated with dignity, good food, always clean.
Back in August, Dad came home directly from the hospital. With great care, he has improved within two weeks - walking and eating. Now chest infection and falling out of bed, he is being helped to recover again.
