Review of Warren Lodge from Jane D (Wife of Resident) published on 27 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

From the moment my daughter and I first walked through the door of Warren Lodge Care Home to have lunch with my husband, we were amazed at the light, the affection, the fun. The staff and residents seem to genuinely like, even love, each other - there is true kindness, patience and joy and I think this comes from the man at the top, who has such respect for everyone, and his staff, many of whom have been there for a decade.or more and speak of the sense of family that keeps them happy and fulfilled. There is live music and singalongs, and art days. The house and grounds are elegant and spacious (the house filled with flowers) and I really like Warren Wood which is just a few steps up the lane. The staff know everyone's names and characters and it really feels like a home from home, a new family as important as the original family. I could not recommend it more highly.

Since moving into Pinehurst we are very pleased with the help and support Mum is receiving from her carers.

Mum has Parkinsons and Cliff and his team do a great job making sure she is comfortable and all her needs are attended to. We were able to personalise her room, so she is happy surrounded by her belongings.

Having just attended the Warren Lodge annual Summer Garden Party, themed this year as America Day Community Picnic, I have come away once again blown away by the love, caring, tireless energy and creativeness of the whole dedicated Warren Lodge Team and the beautiful grounds too. What a special place indeed. My husband arrived in September 2024 with dementia and it soon felt like home. He visibly relaxed and relished the fun, compassion, sensitivity and stimulation the pervading calm and contented atmosphere exuded. As a family we have nothing but profound admiration for each and everyone working at Warren Lodge, appreciating the ability to visit any time always ensured of the warmest of welcomes and as we join in too with the many events and live entertainments regularly laid on for residents and visitors alike. We are confident our loved one's impending end of life will be as gentle as it is possible to be. With immeasurable gratitude we thank all the 'Angels' (what an apt word).

Very happy with my father's first week at Pinehurst. The team caring for him appear to be excellent, there's a sincerity to everything they do and their level of attention is very high. The facilities are in good condition and clearly there's a continued effort on maintenance. Activitity programme is also first class.

I have nothing but praise and thanks to the team at Warren Lodge. My Mother moved in 2.5yrs ago from hospital which we'd hoped would be temporary, but her needs increased and so she stayed. Mum is a complex individual, but the team have risen to every challenge presented with grace and patience. The staff team have taken the time to truly understand her, they genuinely respect her unique ways, show kindness and compassion at all times and ensure she feels valued and cared for. Now nearing the end of her days, I am truly touched by how well they are looking after her. Kate in particular has a very special bond with Mum, which is incredibly reassuring for us as a family. Having worked in several similar homes in my younger years, I know 'what to look out for' so to speak, and can honestly say I trust the team to provide quality care that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you endlessly Warren Lodge for everything you've done and continue to do. Louise H

We've been really grateful for the care and support all the staff provide for my Mum, who has advanced dementia. It's clear that the staff take the time to get to know her and understand her, especially as her condition has progressed.
When we visit, it's reassuring to see how patient and gentle the staff are and how they respect Mum's dignity at all times. Everyone at Pinehurst treats Mum with kindness and respect, and it's obvious they want to make her as comfortable as possible.
We have also found the new manager to be very helpful and responsive, and we have noticed some small changes which really do make a difference.

Knowing she's being looked after in this way means a great deal to us as a family, particularly as she has deteriorated over time. Thank you to everyone involved for the care you provide.

Mom has been at Pinehurst for 20 months. As a family we had not wanted this as we had envisaged caring for our parents in the family home. Because of changes in mom's dementia it had to happen. We chose Pinehurst as it best fitted our mom's personality, life experiences to begin with but upon visiting 'you just know when the place fits' which is how it felt with mom. Mom's dementia means she needs the everyday simple things in life. She needs the same faces around her, helping and supporting. We have experienced this at Pinehurst - the staff are the same people now as 20 months ago. I think this says everything about a place when the staff are happy to stay and do their job. We wanted mom to have a cup of tea and a biscuit (like she has always done), to bring music into her life again (which they do in bucketfuls), to talk to my mom and smile and make her feel loved (the staff are beautiful people) we are very pleased with our decision to choose Pinehurst

My mum is being cared for so well at Pinehurst. Her walking and speech have improved tremendously since she arrived here. The staff have been wonderful and so attentive. I was concerned initially that Mum would not settle but she is thriving at the home.

Overall Experience

My father moved into Warren Lodge (WL) in January 2024 after a year of living at home with a live-in carer. I can honestly say that the staff at Warren Lodge could not have been more welcoming and sensitive. We were able to decorate his room with his own furniture and pictures on the walls. He stayed at WL for just under two years with gradually declining cognitive ability. Again the WL staff were about as caring and sensitive as they could be - they not-only treated my father well, but also welcomed any visitors that came to see him at pretty much any time of the day. They were sensitive to his medical needs; arranging chiropody, doctors appointments even mental health specialists as necessary. I mean no disrespect to his live-in carers but the care he received at WL was streets ahead of the care he received at home. One always worries about "putting one's father in a home", but I really have no regrets on the decision we made, to entrust our father's final days to WL

From the moment we contacted Warren Lodge all staff were welcoming knowledgeable and helpful. After viewing some other care homes we knew that Warren Lodge was the right place for our mum.
It has a homely feeling and excellent staff who really care. The home is well managed and the care is modelled from the top down. All staff are involved with each resident.
The activities are fantastic we go in and see my Mum smiling, joining in and thriving. There is always something to do
The care home has such a family feel, we always leave knowing my mum is safe; stimulated and respected.
My mum's overall well being has improved dramatically since moving to Warren Lodge and we are confident this was the best decision we could have made.
The team keep us up to date; communication is exceptional. Families are always welcome , without needing to arrange specific visits.

We highly recommend Warren Lodge and are grateful for their exceptional level of care.

Warren Lodge is not just a care home, it's a home that cares.

It was an emotional time when our family had to make the choice to admit dad to a home. We were all very sceptical and wondered how my mum would cope, however Warren Lodge and all of the staff exceeded our expectations. Dad only resided for a month and within that time the care and emotional support we received was excellent. We were lucky enough to spend New Years Eve with dad and enjoyed singing and dancing to the dementia disco. 3 days before dad sadly passed away all our family celebrated his 90th birthday. The staff put on an amazing buffet and decorated the dining room to accommodate everyone. This was above and beyond expectations. They also arranged for a mention on the local radio. I can't praise the staff enough for all of their support and care throughout dads time with them.

I had to make a difficult decision for my mum due to myself becoming ill , Sadly she only stayed in Warren Lodge from August to November 2025 when she passed but I can honestly say even though it was hard to have her move out of her home I couldn't have asked for better care that the staff at Warren Lodge gave to my mum, Goce the manager and all the staff was so understanding, kind and patient and also gave me a warm welcome whenever I visited , I couldn't have been happier to see my mum looking so good with the care they all provided to keep my mum looking clean and well presented, and how clean the home is and the meals looked very appetising , I thank you all so much for your dedication, I would recommend anyone to go to Warren Lodge and experience the wonderful care they provide and lovely atmosphere there, thank you all so very much .

Review of Warren Lodge from Penny C (Sister of Resident) published on 23 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My sister has been in Warren Lodge, Finchampstead for sometime now and at first I was nervous about visiting her but there was absolutely no need for me to be. My sister is very happy, and is very well cared for and she loves the staff. Her room is lovely and she has been able to have some of her favourite things surround her. The staff are amazing, they are so welcoming each time I visit. As I live in Yorkshire my visits are infrequent nevertheless they always find us space to sit so we can visit and be with her for as long as we want. I would highly recommend you watch the videos they post, you get a real sense of the home and you can see how happy the residents are. It was her birthday at the beginning of January and it was lovely to see her birthday celebration video with all her family and staff singing to her.

I was most impressed by Pinehurst and all whom I met there. Everyone I met, including the Registered Manager, was positive, enthusiastic and delightful. During the course of my wife's stay there , I was particularly struck by the positive response to difficult behaviour on my wife's part. There was no word of criticism. The immediate reaction was "What can we do to help?" It was accepted that people with advanced Alzheimer's can't control their behaviour and our job is to help them cope. I came away with a feeling of great relief that we had indeed found the right place for my wife to spend her future.

From the moment my nan moved to Pinehurst, the difference was clear. She had never truly settled anywhere after leaving her own home until she came here, and now it genuinely feels like a home from home. The atmosphere is warm, calm and welcoming, and residents are clearly known and cared for as individuals.
One of the most reassuring aspects is the consistency of the staff. You get to know them, and they get to know both residents and families. The familiar, friendly faces make a huge difference, it's rare to find a home with such continuity. The day staff care deeply for my nan and have built lovely, meaningful relationships with her.

The management team have gone above and beyond to accommodate my nan's needs, even moving her room to ensure she has the best possible care/situation. Communication is excellent and always reassuring. The activities and stimulation are brilliant, and the home is extremely well managed. We are so grateful for the care and compassion shown at Pinehurst.

My Mum went in to Pinehurst for respite over the Christmas period.
We can't thank the staff enough for making her feel so welcome. Cliff, the manager, bringing flowers on the day she arrived was lovely.
She enjoyed many of the events they laid on and meeting the other residents.
Her room and bathroom were kept really clean, as was the home.
We received excellent support from Sue and the rest of the staff during this time, reassuring us and listening to our concerns.
They also ensured they understood Mum and her preferences and needs.

If Mum ever needs to live in a care home we would definitely choose Pinehurst.

Review of Warren Lodge from Stuart M (Grandson of Resident) published on 12 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My fantastic grandmother resided at Warren Lodge in the last year. We picked this home knowing it would very probably be her last after it was no longer possible for her to live independently. It is a great comfort to us that actually we had picked a truly excellent home with the most caring and expert staff. They really could support her very well with her dementia needs and being part of a small community again with the activities, made her life a lot more interesting and enjoyable but crucially a lot safer than we could have managed caring for her at home. The visits we had could be enjoyed due to excellent situation. For the last weeks during end of life care she continued to receive the best care and support, and as a family visiting we were also greatly supported. Yet at the same time we could see staff making the Christmas season special for other residents, how they are able to switch mentally and handle all situations can't be easy.
