Our mother was a resident of Pinehurst Care Centre for nearly two years, until she passed away in August. She had lived with dementia for nearly nine years, struggling with part-time home care, then, following hospitalisation, a move to a care home which did not meet her needs.
The move to Pinehurst
was a breath of fresh air! It allowed Mum to be nearer family who could visit her frequently and to live a calmer life. The Pinehurst team, from managers to carers to maintenance, welcomed, supported, cared for and respected Mum. They were professional, patient and kind. They all new her name, they all knew her family members. They were attentive to her personal hygiene, social interaction and stimulation at her own pace, her diet and medical needs.
Emilia, Vicki and Cliff were hugely supportive and understanding during Mum's final weeks, her hospitalisation and her return to familiar "homely" surroundings at Pinehurst on palliative care.
We are very grateful.

It took me a while to find a suitable care home for my mother, when I found Warren Lodge an amazing home. The manager was welcoming and really cares for the residents. The staff are excellent and very caring. I am made to feel most welcome. The events are very good and families are more than welcome
to join in. My mother is well cared for and I am happy to have found this amazing care home.

I moved my mother to Warren Lodge from a care home in Devon where she had been placed by the local authority, because I was not happy with the care being provided there. The move to Warren Lodge was a transformative experience. She was very well cared for by the staff of Warren Lodge who were also always
very welcoming of me and other family members who visited my mother. The philosophy of Warren Lodge is to prioritise the needs of the residents, ensuring they are treated sensitively and with respect. In my experience, Warren Lodge delivered on these principles throughout the time that my mother was there. The staff group is stable and well led, the key ingredients for good quality care. The staff knew my mother well, and were very understanding of her needs. We got to know them well too. I and my family were extremely pleased and satisfied with the care given to my mother.

My husband and I have been residents in Warren Lodge for 2 1/2 years. All residents' bedrooms are comfortable with ensuites, which are thoroughly cleaned every day. Rooms can be furnished as personally as one wishes. All staff are kind, friendly and helpful, they try to fulfil one's every wish. We have
regular entertainment and activities. The gardens are extensive and beautifully kept. Rooms and building are very tastefully decorated and are continually being updated . Relatives are always kept well informed of activities etc. Having spoken to other residents we all feel lucky to be living in such a lovely home, no wonder it has a 10 out of 10 rating.

Overall a varied experience however lack of communication since the care coordinator left from the team - we now get none at all about our mother/grandmother where as she was brilliant with communicating with us. This is disappointing given costs relating to care. Had no idea they stopped getting
her up, the room is depressing, miserable, very little natural light.
When in the main house it was a lot better, constant entertainment that involved her and when moving over to the dementia unit it was like "that's that now".
The home needs a key worker to communicate with families as no-one does it at all now! The activity coordinator in the main home was always very good as was the care coordinator who used to be in the dementia building - sick a great loss losing her.
Devastating to see the leaving of the old manager as we really trusted her and there has been no introduction to the new manager as the meeting times are not suitable when I work full time. Carers and hairdresser are lovely though!

Earlier this year it became apparent that my father was no longer able to care for my stepmother following a stroke 2 years prior. She moved into a local care home but did not settle well.Having looked at alternative homes, none compared with the warmth and understanding shown to us by the manager and
staff at Warren Lodge. They took the time to listen and understand her needs, and the deputy manager spent much time liaising with medical staff to ensure that she settled better this time.Sadly, after only a few weeks, my stepmother had a sudden seizure from which she did not regain consciousness.During this time, the staff provided attentive, compassionate round the clock end of life care, always treating her with dignity and respect. They also gave incredible comfort and support to my father at her bedside, providing him with lunch, and even sandwiches to take home for his supper.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and we cannot thank them enough. They are a first class team.

The whole idea of moving my Mum into a care home was daunting. We visited many and none felt right. From the moment we walked into Warren Lodge we knew we had found the right place. The warmth, professionalism and genuine compassion was evident immediately. My Mum was made to feel at home with staff
taking time to know her interests, routines and the little things that make her smile.

The care home manager is always welcoming, approachable, and attentive. He demands the highest standards of care. Warren Lodge is always spotless, well maintained, and welcoming. Mum enjoys the food every day.
There are lots of activities ensuring the residents are stimulated socially, mentally and physically. There are regular events where families can come along and join in. Warren Lodge has an atmosphere of genuine kindness. I know that Mum is very happy, and as a family, we have total peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and very well cared for.

The staff at Warren Lodge were notable from the very first phone call; the time they gave us, their listening skills, their understanding and knowledge as well as their kind, supportive nature.
We were looking for residential care for my mum (Parkinson's) and my dad (Alzheimer's). The two members
of staff we met the most were outstanding in their care of us as a family. They were gentle with mum and dad (as were everyone) answered all of our questions, had thoughtful advice and showed kindness throughout.
We visited several times and were warmly welcomed every time. We visited many care homes but Warren Lodge shone out for us. We saw so much good practice and they had lovely ways to make it feel like a big family home, the room available was perfect for them.
Mum and dad were due to move this April but dad died unexpectedly. During this time the staff continued to be kind, supportive and helpful, they really go the extra mile. As a family we can't thank them enough.

We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care our mother receives at Warren Lodge. From the very first day she arrived, the centre manager and his team's dedication and compassion have been evident in every interaction with our whole family. The facilities at Warren Lodge are of the highest standard,
providing a comfortable and safe environment that truly feels like home for both residents and their families. The attention to detail in every aspect of care is outstanding. From the personalised medical attention to the impeccable cleanliness, the in-house chef's delicious meals, and the engaging activities that keep residents active and happy, every element reflects their commitment to running a five-star home. Knowing that our mother's well-being at Warren Lodge is their top priority gives our family peace of mind. We have complete trust and confidence in the centre manager and his care team, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure the best possible care and attention for our mother.

Mum moved into Warren Lodge in late summer 2024 shortly after Dad passed away. They had been married for 66 years. We needed somewhere that was safe, friendly, welcoming, and provided the right balance of care and independence. We looked at a number of care homes in the area and Warren Lodge was our
favourite by far. A wonderful location and setting, good facilities and services, and an excellent programme of social activities. However, one thing above all others makes Warren Lodge special and that is the manager and his brilliant team. They work so hard to make this a home-from-home for the residents. We visit Mum two/three times a week and she is always happy, smiling and content. We couldn't ask for more.

My Mum has been a resident of Warren Lodge since September 2024 following the death of my Father. It was very hard for my brother and I to make the decision to move our Mum to a care home even though we knew it was the best thing for her. I can not praise all the staff at Warren lodge highly enough,
from our first visit we were made to feel welcome. They were patient and understanding of all our questions and stressed that their goal is to be 'home' for their residents. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting and it really does feel like home. We know that our Mum is getting the best care, she is well looked after and we have no doubt that we made the right decision. Thank you Warren Lodge for making this transition so seamless and caring.

4 months ago we came to the difficult realisation that Mum needed professional support that we could not give. Warren Lodge has provided that - to Mum and us, with care and consideration. The individual needs of Mum are considered fully and the staff listen to Mum and us. Very grateful that we found

My Nan and Grandad moved into Warren Lodge last year and it was the best thing to happen to them in years. It doesn't feel like an old people's place, as it's definitely not a sad place. We've been to lots of music events and my boyfriend came to the "Xmas Lights Switch On" evening and he said that
Warren Lodge was more like a nice hotel, than a Care Home!
My Nan sadly died in November, but it was all very calm and peaceful at the end, and the staff looked after all of us so well. My Mum even stayed there for a few nights to be with Nan when she was really poorly at the end, which I know meant a lot to her to be able to do that.
I love visiting my Grandad and being able to play card games with him and it's good that there's always room for us to sit at a nice table and enjoy the afternoon cake!
Thank you to everyone at Warren Lodge for looking after us all.

Visiting someone with Dementia or on end-of-life care is never an easy comfortable undertaking for anyone, but it is different with Warren Lodge. My own mother was in a home with Dementia and, although the home she was in looked after her, there was not the level of welcome and support I and my family
now experience with Warren Lodge. My Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law have been residing for the past 8 months in Warren Lodge and its community is so friendly and understanding, have time for everyone and yet professional in what they do, whether that's with the level of food (cake), health support, building and its lovely grounds, entertainment and providing advice/ guidance, re-assurance and dignity. How they assisted my wife in preparing and dealing with my wife's mum's death is an example other homes could and should follow. They have been and continue to be amazing. We have been so lucky. Warren Lodge is number 1.

Warren Lodge is such a happy place to visit - there's always something fun going on and I know my grandad loves all the food that he gets! All the staff there are so lovely and always make us all feel so welcome. They really look after my grandad so well and they looked after my nan too in the last
6 months of her life.
It's also made such a difference to the stress levels of my mum, trying to look after my grandparents in their own home and now I feel like my mum has got some of her life back, whilst being reassured that my grandad is being so well looked after.
Some of my friends dread visiting their grandparents in their Care Homes, but I never feel like that - I look forward to going to Warren Lodge, not just to see my grandad, but to also see the staff who have become such good friends of our family.

It's a New Year and my Dad has been at Warren Lodge for almost 1 year. I love visiting my dad - he is always dressed, shaved and looking smart with his shoes on which is handy as I like to try and get him into the grounds for a walk. He has dementia (and depression) but since being in Warren Lodge -
he's forgotten his depression. He doesn't want to leave and is most comfortable in the large lounge. The freshly cooked food is amazing and because I don't live locally - I often join my Dad for lunch. The staff are happy and so so caring. They know all the residents' little foibles and accommodate them all. The events programme is so good from Xmas lights switch on, singalongs and events celebrating other cultures. The Manager is the key to the success I think - so caring and with a real big heart. I also appreciate the maintenance man. Anything that needs doing in my Dad's room (the bathroom fan was noisy recently) just gets sorted at the first ask! I'm so happy we found Warren Lodge!
