Welcome to Forest Care Village Care Centre in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The modern facility offers 24-hour nursing care for adults with life-long physical conditions, particularly those with Acquired Brain Injuries and neurological conditions and24 hour nursing care for those aged 65 and over.

The home is blessed with a dedicated team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. They work in partnership with visiting therapists to offer short and long-term placements, palliative, respite and post-operative care.

The purpose-built facility comprises 178 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities; a large physiotherapy suite; music and sensory facilities and courtyard sensory gardens. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home.

While the home's bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the modern communal lounges offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite film.

At Forest Care Village, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of their activities take place within the home environment and include art workshops, handicrafts, garden parties, and barbecues. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. I came to visit my mother today and it was a very pleasant experience. Mum is in another room which really nice and she seems very content. The staff I met were so very nice and they are so very good with mum even though she can be a bit naughty at times.

Very impressed with the care Mum is receiving, from moving in to settling her in, the staff have been amazing. Mum has started to look healthier already. Mum has a gluten free diet, and the staff and chefs have been excellent at accommodating her needs.

Forest Care Village have taken great care of my mum, she is visiting for a month. Every single carer has been absolutely brilliant, so friendly and caring. I have been here for almost six years if only it had happened many years ago. From the age of ten, I have suffered from mental health. I have been in mental wards in various hospitals and I didn't want to leave. But since arriving in Forrest Care it has felt like home without any pressure or (just occasionally).
For me, it has been the best years of my life apart from many my early years at Primary School and living rough on the Isle of Wight (both pressure-free)

I can't express enough of all the help the home did for my uncle. He was well cared for, loved and made to feel very comfortable. I am absolutely amazed at receiving no explanation as to where one of my sister-in-law's possessions has gone. Unfortunately, she passed away last August, but the irreplaceable item had been missing for some time before that. After enquiring of its whereabouts I eventually rang and spoke to the CEO?
of the organisation, who asked if I would give time for a thorough search to take place throughout the unit, when she would get back to me - I have heard nothing! I found the place very unwelcoming and had I been given the choice of where my sister-in-law was placed, I would certainly not have chosen Forest Care. Take heed if you care for your loved ones. I could go on, but unfortunately, amount of words is restricted.
