Overall Experience
As one of the residents' visitors at Grace Manor Nursing Home, I have been consistently impressed by the exceptional standard of care provided by the entire team. Every visit reassures me that my loved one is being cared for with genuine compassion, dignity and respect.
The staff are always welcoming, professional and approachable. They take the time to get to know each resident as an individual and treat everyone with kindness, patience and empathy. It is clear that the residents' wellbeing, comfort and happiness are at the heart of everything they do.
The home is clean, well-maintained and has a warm, friendly atmosphere that makes visitors feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Communication with families is excellent, and I truly appreciate being kept informed and feeling included in my loved one's care.

It is evident that the team works incredibly hard to create a safe, caring and engaging environment where residents are treated like family.

The improvement in my mother's overall wellbeing having moved to Grace Manor from where she was previously was nothing short of amazing. Both my grandmother and uncle have been residents of Grace Manor so I knew it would be better for her. The care is first rate and my mother is very happy there. The staff are excellent, I have no issues and would recommend the Manor to anyone seeking care facilities for a loved one.

Lovely quiet surroundings with a garden view room. Staff have been very pleasant and helpful even prior to mums placement and thereafter knowledgeable on planning requirements / needs and advice, taking ownership of decisions and communicating necessary details to various parties for ongoing care. So pleased that we managed to find mum a place here

The care staff here are wonderful and always have been in the almost 2 years since she has been here. I feel extremely lucky to have found this place when I did. Laughter is the best medicine and we get that often and it cheers me up and used to for her.

My Dad was a resident at Grace Manor, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support he received from everyone we encountered there. The home itself is in an excellent location with ample parking, superb facilities, and daily activities for all the residents. The care staff seem to take a genuine interest in the residents and their families. I would 100% recommended Grace Manor if your relative needs support from a specialist Dementia home.

Sadly my Mum was only able to enjoy her time at Grace Manor briefly but she loved her room, which overlooked the front garden, for a relatively short time before she passed away. However, in that brief time we found all of the team at Grace Manor to be very welcoming, helpful, caring and efficient and when my brother and sister-in-law visited Mum at Grace Manor they came away feeling very positive and commented that it was the happiest that they had seen her for several years. We have no hesitation in recommending Grace Manor.

The home is in a good location with sufficient parking. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly and caring. My mum has settled in well and her health has increased since she moved in, in May of this year. I'm confident that she is safe and well cared for, and all of her needs are met.

My father needed more care than we could safely provide and we selected Grace Manor following a previous visit and feeling that the home could be right for my father. All the team have been very supportive in getting my father settled into the home. All the team show him kindness and interest in him as an individual, which has been very important in helping him settle and feel safe in his new environment. It was a very big and emotional decision for us and this has certainly been made smoother by the support we received. When I say 'all the team' this covers the nurses, carers, dinner staff, laundry and maintenance - who I have seen address my father in a kind respectful way.

Mum is very happy at Grace Manor Care Centre, she enjoys the activities, loves her room which has all her photos and her own furniture. She loves to be outside which the staff are well aware of so on any nice day (summer and winter) they will sit her outside in the lovely garden. The staff are so attentive and take the time to chat and have a laugh with her. She is still able to get out to her other activities but is always warmly welcomed home.

Most of the staff are lovely and some do care. But let's just say I've seen more than enough!

If you really care about your loved ones think long and hard before leaving them alone at Grace Manor! And I wasn't the only relative that had problems.

All my life I wanted to care for older adults and make a difference in their life. Becoming a home manager was the ultimate way to do so. However, being a home manager is so much more than looking after older adults and I realised that looking after your staff is paramount to delivering good quality care. Creating an open and honest culture with staff, recognising their achievements and actively engaging, supporting staff and valuing staff is paramount. If you have a happy and content staff team, you have happy residents. I believe a manager should be a great role model who is passionate, hands-on and motivated with a great sense of humour.

Grace Manor Care Centre is our older adult’s home, we are proud of our warm and welcoming environment, and we will always be here for a chat. It is important that both our older residents and their families are included and feel at home. It is always the highlight of my role to see these residents smiling and laughing again.
