The home seems to be well run, the staff are helpful and it is very clean, only the garden seems to need some TLC, as it looks a mess and sometimes it is difficult to gain access.

My brother is very happily settled at St. Anne's, he always looks well cared for and the staff are all very kind and supportive, bothering to get to know him as an individual. There are a range of activities every day and he has plenty to eat. The Home is very clean and welcoming. I am always advised
of any changes in his condition/needs and involved in his care. Highly recommended.

My father has been in St Anne's roughly 6 years now and I have found it to be very good for him. I always do random checks on him and as usual I can't find any fault with his care, he is well groomed, well fed, he dose activities in his chair, goes dentist, gets his hair cut, nails done, he's doing
better than me. I just love the careers who do a great job and the management team has got better and better. Well done St Anne's keep up the outstanding work. Thank you for all you do and the cleaners, decorating, chef, BBQ etc just fantastic thank you so much.

St Anne's Care Home gives my family and me peace of mind that my dad is taken care of with dignity, respect, empathy and love.
I visit on a weekly basis and I find that the staff on all levels are always welcoming, polite and willing to answer any question I may have.
My dad is settled and happy
in his environment and this gives me comfort.
I would like to say thank you to each and every one of the St Anne's staff for the part you play, it really makes a difference.

My aunt has just left St Anne's after being in their care for the past 5 months.
I'd just like to applaud and thank the whole staff from the cooks to the management.
From day one my aunt was made to feel comfortable, assured and safe at all times.
And me being a regular visitor was always greeted
courteously and respectfully which is the same feedback I got from other family members.
Any questions or concerns I had about my aunt were answered, explained, and managed.
My aunt is very grateful as are we all... for the care and support given to her whilst she was in your hands.
Thank you and well done Team St Anne's.

Mum has only been in the care of this nursing home for a few months, I am completely satisfied with her care, the home is very clean, the staff are friendly and motivated, you don’t need to make an appointment to visit so long as you avoid meal times, which is entirely reasonable. I like the fact the
care home manager has a weekly surgery for relatives to come see him if you have any concerns about your loved ones' care.

I have not long found out my friend was in St Anne's. I went to visit him for the 1st time and was pleasantly surprised to find him so well cared for. I was greeted at the door by a lovely, friendly lady who took me to my friend's door, brought us tea and biscuits and left me to catch up with him in
comfort. While talking to him, he told me he was happy here and was treated like one of the family by carers and nurses; he said the lady who brought us the tea was his favourite as she always sits with him and finds things to do with him and he can talk to her when he feels low, he said the food is good, and I can see he has put on weight. The only thing he didn't like was not being able to go out by himself. We spent a very good hour catching up, and I left smiling. Thank you to all for caring for my friend so well.

The friendly and helpful staff members at St. Anne's are happy and accommodating, and always greeted with a smile, they do a great job. The food is freshly made or cooked and looks inviting, and plentiful too. The rooms, communal areas and building are kept clean, tidy and well-maintained. The only
issue is that access to the building can be difficult at times.

My mother was admitted to St Anne's from hospital for rehabilitation and I was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely place St Anne's is. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so kind and attentive! It's always clean and tidy at St Anne's and mum says she really loves the food and thinks highly of the
staff. I think I'll reserve a room when my time comes! Thank you everyone for your dedication and hard work!

My mother was placed at St Anne's for physio and rehabilitation after discharge from the hospital. I was quite worried about how she would settle in, but I have been so impressed with every aspect of the home. The staff are wonderful - caring and attentive, the home is clean and welcoming and has a
warm, homely environment, and the food is good - a wide variety and well presented. My mother has settled in so well and appreciates all efforts made by staff to help her build her strength and confidence to be safe when she returns home. Thank you to all at St Anne's for taking all the stress out of a difficult time for my family.

The care home did not have a manager for over six months, and with the new manager in place now, hopefully, things will move forward. Food can be varied a little, especially for residents with specific dietary requirements. My mother is always having mashed potatoes, perhaps exploring something else
as an alternative. I would like to highlight this care home provides good, engaging activities with their residents and trips outside of the care home. This is very important for my mother's well-being. Please keep this up!

The care is excellent at St Anne's. My husband has been here six months plus, and the staff are excellent.
I felt I have support from the staff as well, and if I have any problems/or my family have, we know that we can come and talk to the staff.
I highly recommend the care home.

Unfortunately, since Nan went into St Annes. Covid hit, and there was a long time when she didn’t see anyone. This is not a criticism of the home, and her 99th birthday was in the thick of the pandemic. The staff were so kind and went over and above to help her celebrate as we were not allowed in the
home. Since then, she has also celebrated her arranged her 100th birthday when once again, the team arranged a wonderful party, which we were able to attend. Thank you, St Annes

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.465)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.465) out of 10 for St Anne's is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.873 for St Anne's is calculated as follows: ( (90 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 102 Ratings = 4.873
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.592 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Anne's is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 registered maximum number of service users is 13. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.692
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
