I can't recommend High Meadows highly enough. The staff were fantastic and although my father was only there for a short while they couldn't do enough for him. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make my father feel as comfortable, supported and looked after as possible!

I was extremely impressed with the manner in which mum was cared for at High Meadows. The environment was uplifting & friendly & the staff & management genuinely care deeply about their residents. Although mum lived only there for 6 months, I found the staff to be kind & considerate & when providing end of life care they treated Mum with the utmost dignity. Additionally, management were extremely supportive to me throughout mum's time there and that was particularly true during the end of life stage which was a difficult time for me.

Our team regularly encourages residents to participate and offers a variety of options, while always respecting individual choice and comfort. Your mum is often invited to join activities, however she frequently prefers not to participate, and we fully respect her wishes.
We were also sorry to read your comments regarding portion sizes, as this has not previously been raised with us. Your mum is always offered additional servings if requested.

My experience of High Meadows has been very good indeed. The staff are so caring. My husband is very happy, and that makes me happy too. His room is excellent and most comfortable, and laundry is done daily. The staff always have time to discuss any concerns. It's a very good care home.

It is 11 months since I last wrote a review for High Meadows, and mum has now lived here for 18 months. She is totally content at High Meadows, and the staff understands her needs, likes and dislikes. Mum's memory is not so good these days, which is understandable as she will be 101 years old in 5 days time. She remembers that she asked to move to a care home because she does not want to think anymore. High Meadows fulfils her needs and feels like home to her now. High Meadows welcomes visitors, and staff are always friendly and welcoming when we visit. Mum cannot remember what happens from hour to hour, but the staff tell us what is important.
I still would highly recommend High Meadows for others looking for a care home, and cannot thank the staff enough for the way they care for mum.

Mum has been in the care home for almost 6 months and received excellent care and always treated with dignity. The staff are always friendly and caring, treating mum with respect. Regular updates are received from the staff, management and nurses.

Mum moved into High Meadows in July this year and has been so happy and well cared for. The 18th October was her 100th birthday. A party was held and all the staff went over and beyond to make it the most wonderful occasion. The room was beautifully decorated and the cake was so delicious .. cooked...
Mum moved into High Meadows in July this year and has been so happy and well cared for. The 18th October was her 100th birthday. A party was held and all the staff went over and beyond to make it the most wonderful occasion. The room was beautifully decorated and the cake was so delicious .. cooked at the home. I am constantly delighted in how the staff care and interact with mum. She is enjoying her life now at High Meadows.
