My mother was at Rush Court for just under 8 years and was looked after brilliantly during this time. The staff were caring and considerate and the daily activities and trips outside the home were so helpful in distracting from routine.

The gardens at Rush Court are beautiful and so well looked after and my mother particularly enjoyed a trip around them as often as weather permitted.

It is never easy decision to move one's parent into a home especially after they have been so independent but my mother settled in well and for us, it was like having an extra family as we were always made to feel so welcome on our visits.
The staff were wonderful and we could not have asked for better care.
She was treated with love and respect. The dedication and tender care shown to all residents not just by the carers and nurses but also the catering and housekeeping staff was truly reassuring and great to see.

She loved the garden there and enjoyed the many activities on offer such as flower arranging, cookery and went on some fun excursions. She was a resident for 8 years, a long time, but how lucky we were to know we had chosen such a beautiful home in an idyllic rural setting.

Overall Experience
The whole team at Rush Court gave our step mum truly magnificent care during her stay over the past three years.
The attentiveness to her needs by all the staff at all levels and in all areas was really exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. She always looked so beautifully clean and well cared for, even in her final weeks. She grew to be very happy at Rush Court, almost always at peace and smiling. She loved the imaginative outings and events and was always reading the monthly diary to look forward to the next one.
She loved her room in residential and later in nursing, with the views over the vineyard, and we were astonished at how her appetite grew; she so appreciated the meals and afternoon teas.

We were always kept so well informed with patient explanations of every twist and turn of her health, and we were always made so welcome when we visited together with our dogs. We will truly miss our visits now that she has passed away.

My mother was a resident of Rush Court for two and a half years. During the last year of her stay, she had many falls. The care home did their utmost to help her changing rooms, colour and contrast of carpets, door handles. They put a motion sensor in her room at the bed and chair so that staff knew when she was on the move so that they mitigate her falls.

She died in August 2017 following complications after a fall. Throughout the care home was excellent keeping me informed and providing aid to my mother she was in very good hands.

The building and gardens are absolutely beautifully maintained, immaculate.
The choices of interior decoration stunning.
Food all home cooked, varied and good.
The few social events we attended were really excellent - even our Christmas dinner!
All staff were very pleasant and caring.

When my mother became confused and unable to make herself understood I felt the nursing staff to be reactive rather than proactive in her care.

Rush Court has provided my mother with excellent care. She has needed a high level of nursing care throughout the day and night. The staff have treated her with care, respect and compassion. Initially, my mother was reluctant to socialise and take part in activities, but with encouragement, she has been on various excursions and has responded well to the obvious care and affection shown. There is a lovely atmosphere and the inside of the building is very well maintained as are the grounds and gardens. My sister and I are extremely grateful for the care shown.

Overall Experience

My Father spent 3 years at Rush Court. During his time there I felt the care he received was fantastic. As my Father was from a much older era the fact that the majority of the carers first language was English made settling in for him at the home a lot easier as he was hard of hearing and didn't always easily understand. The staffs caring nature towards him was exceptional and this was sometimes extended to me as well.

The grounds are beautiful and I will certainly miss visiting Rush Court.
