We are very pleased at the care of our mother received at Ruth Court, and cannot praise the staff highly enough. The manager is a lovely hands on person who even blow-dried mum's hair when she first arrived. The transition from residential to nursing was very easy as it was just downstairs, and staff
provided compassionate and thorough end of life care. The home itself is very pleasant with a great choice of rooms, which made visiting more enjoyable.

Marked down food and drink as we still have issues with menu and Mum does not always get what we have ticked on the list.
She eats very little anyway so it is important she gets what it says on the sheet. I try and be there meal times to ensure it is current but obviously not sure what happens other
days as Mum would not make a fuss.
Reply from Mary Maughan, Interim General manager at EversfieldMany thanks for your honest review which we will look into.
I will be very happy to meet with you and chef to review the menu.

A lovely care home where my father is happy & looked after so well with caring & attentive staff in a very homely environment. He has improved so much since moving there in January'26 such a comfort to his family to know he is being looked after well with dignity and kindness. Enjoying wonderful food
in a lovely private room looking out to beautiful grounds in a very peaceful setting.

My dad has been at Eversfield for 4 weeks now going in as a Respite Resident after suffering a stroke & being in hospital. I have been over whelmed with how caring they have been to my dad & knowing he is being looked after & is safe is such a relief. He continues to grow in confidence each day & feels
so at home at Eversfield I am sure he will eventually become full time. I can not thank the staff enough for making him feel so welcome & to me when I visit it really is an amazing place.

My mum is staying in Eversfield for the second time this year for some respite care. From the minute she arrived she felt very welcome and I continue to be impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, the variety and high quality of the food and the great range of activities. It has
been wonderful to see my mum getting stronger each day and wanting to get involved with the activities. The home has a lovely atmosphere, everyone is very approachable and willing to help. Her friends have loved being able to visit and feel welcomed there. It's a huge relief to me that she is so safe, happy and well-cared for, thank you all.

My mother, aged 92, has just spent two weeks recovering from extensive orthopaedic surgery and I was impressed by the care in this home. From when she arrived right up until her departure she felt confident in all aspects of her care and above all felt she was understood and encouraged to regain her
independence. The staff at all times were attentive and welcoming and all meals well presented and of excellent quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Lodge to others.
Reply from Deborah Skinner, General Manager at The LodgeThank you so much for this reply. It just embodies how much the staff care, how proud they are help residents and what a great team they are. I will pass on your wonderful comments to the staff and please thank your mother very much for the fun we have had in her company. I hope your mother continues to do as well as she has done at The Lodge.

I visit the care home regularly to see my father-in-law. I see at first hand the level of care that he receives, it is always friendly, professional and compassionate. The staff always make time to make sure he is comfortable and safe. In addition, his room is very comfortable as is the home itself.
In summary, it's very reassuring to know that he is in a safe environment and is extremely well looked after. Thank you to everyone that contributes to making this happen.
