Overall Experience
We have just spent a really pleasant afternoon at Halliwell listening to the most wonderful jazz band and having a delicious buffet lunch, drinking pimms in the beautiful garden and chatting to friends relatives and carers. As always , the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the staff were amazingly attentive whilst joining in the fun. Our father has been a resident of Halliwell for nearly 8 years and life , there just continues to get better and better for him. It is truly his home from home and we are so grateful that his life is so rich and full at the age of 92.
Thank you to all the staff who care for our father night and day with such professionalism , kindness and compassion.

During my mother's long stay at the Halliwell Care Home, it truly became her home. She made wonderful friends and was very well looked after. The home was very clean and the staff were friendly, helpful and caring. The nursing staff were proactive and communicated really well. Overall Experience
My wife was in the tender care of Halliwell for five months during her terminal illness. The care, support and kindness she received throughout, from admission to her passing, was absolutely outstanding. Every member of staff and management went to extraordinary lengths to make her final journey as caring and happy as was possible. My family and I were delighted that we chose Halliwell for her, as nowhere else could have possibly been any better.

We cannot thank the team at Halliwell Nursing Home enough for the care, compassion, and dignity they showed to my mother-in-law during her five months there. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. A special mention to the managers, Alison and Karl, who consistently went above and beyond-not just for my mother-in-law, but for our whole family. Their leadership, kindness, and genuine compassion set the tone for the entire home, and it really shows in the way every member of staff cares for the residents. Every member of the team treated her with patience, warmth & respect at all times. Communication was always clear and reassuring, which meant so much to us. The home itself is warm & welcoming, and it's clear that the staff truly care about the people they look after. Knowing she was in such good hands brought us great comfort during a very difficult time.
We will always be grateful to Halliwell and recommend it to anymore who needs care.

Overall Experience
I have stayed in a number of care homes in the last year, and this is by far the best. A major contributing factor is the local management who always go above and beyond, and nothing is too much trouble, which reflects in the attitude of the rest of the staff.

Halliwell provides a wonderful environment for my mother - caring, fun (yes, fun!) and extremely professional. Everybody, from the receptionist through catering staff to carers and nurses, is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. Cleanliness and the quality of the facilities and the food are all excellent. It isn't cheap, but one really does get a very high level of service for the fees.

Overall Experience
I spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Halliwell on Sunday afternoon celebrating Mother's Day. The staff had made a big effort to make the dining room look special for the occasion. We were served a cream tea and a glass of Prosecco whilst listening to a harpist! The atmosphere was buzzing with conversation and laughter, all enjoying quality time with their families and especially their mothers.
Well done, once again to the wonderful staff!

Respite care for 3 weeks is best shown in the impact on mum's spirits and general wellness. She is relaxed, positive and cheerful - more of which were traits showing at Christmas time. My mother has been at Halliwell for six weeks and we are very impressed with everything. The Home is well run, safe and welcoming - the atmosphere is happy and friendly. The staffing levels seem high and all of the staff we've met are friendly, caring, attentive and professional. We are kept informed by email of any changes of medicine, visits from the GP and so on, and we can phone to discuss, if desired. The food is excellent. There are lots of great activities on offer, for those who want to get involved and the staff are making a big effort to get my mother involved, taking her to try out various activities etc The home is light, bright and spacious with lovely gardens and great pathways for getting some exercise.
We are very happy with Halliwell, as is our mother!

My father has spent a very happy respite stay and Halliwell over July/August and has been generally been looked after well for his daily requirements. We chose this care home having visited others locally as it had a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. He has enjoyed having a room with a patio door opening onto a well kept courtyard where he could go for his daily perambulations, with a little encouragement (from family members!)
Overall, I would happily recommend Halliwell Care Home. Thank you.

My mother recently stayed at the Halliwell for some Respite Care after falling,I just wanted thank everyone who was involved in her care and stay there, she went in a frail unsteady lady and has bounced back to her usual positive cheerful self and is back walking independently. I visited most days and was totally impressed with the who set up at Halliwell, a particular member of staff who met us and went through things was just superb, the lady on reception whose beaming smile and warm welcome, made everyone feel special, and of course then the whole team on Floor 1 were just superb, kind, understanding and always very positive, my mother couldn't speak highly enough of them all. The entertainment and activities also played a very bit part in her mental wellbeing and these were very well organised too. Other than one meal my mother enjoyed all her food and was very happy with the choice so that you chefs and the F&B team. The home and grounds are immaculate
