Very grateful to Robin, Karen and the team for their rapid response to our urgent need for respite care for my dad following a difficult night back at home after hospital discharge . They made it happen within a few hours - all the more impressive as it was over a weekend. The team have been welcoming
and attentive, his room is comfy, and the broader facilities and surroundings very pleasant. Thank you to all the staff.

We are very pleased at the care of our mother received at Ruth Court, and cannot praise the staff highly enough. The manager is a lovely hands on person who even blow-dried mum's hair when she first arrived. The transition from residential to nursing was very easy as it was just downstairs, and staff
provided compassionate and thorough end of life care. The home itself is very pleasant with a great choice of rooms, which made visiting more enjoyable.

I visit my Dad frequently and every time I find the staff to be welcoming and cheerful. They work hard to ensure that he is comfortable and his care needs are being met. The home is always clean and the beautiful gardens are well maintained..There is always a good choice of menu at each meal time.I
very much appreciate the hard work that all the staff put to make that Dad is safe and settled..

I visit the care home regularly to see my father-in-law. I see at first hand the level of care that he receives, it is always friendly, professional and compassionate. The staff always make time to make sure he is comfortable and safe. In addition, his room is very comfortable as is the home itself.
In summary, it's very reassuring to know that he is in a safe environment and is extremely well looked after. Thank you to everyone that contributes to making this happen.

Reception staff were very helpful, as we arrived it was lunch time 12.30pm. We were taken to see my Aunt Dorothy, said hello, and that we would wait in the lounge, see her after they had fininshed. While we waiting there was a paper to read and other, also told to help ourselves to tea, coffee, cold
drink and biscuit and cake if we wanted also fruit. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly. Everywhere spotlessly clean.

Carehome itself appears well maintained and comfortable and appropriate for its residents and staff. All staff are warm, friendly and professional, particularly the activities team, chefs, reception team and immediate clinical care teams. Clinical care is very attentive, considerate and adaptable and
medically they are extremely knowledgable and intuitive and have a good relationship with the local doctors. Activities team are thoughtful and caring at all times - they are brilliant! Interactions with myself have always been professional, thoughtful and balanced in terms of care needs. Really pleased and impressed with the whole team at Rush Court.

Mum has had wonderful support during her four years at the Elizabeth Finn, especially in evidence with her recent move to a different room where Mum has settled back in very happily and her excellent care has continued. The entertainment team involve mum in activities. Her favourite is visiting the
Lechlade singers, although she still talks about the trip to Farmoor last year, and she will never forget the Virtual Reality experience. Pamper days are a big hit too. She also loves simple visits for coffee in the library, and just generally being around listening to music and chat whenever she can.
From the receptionists to the laundry service and cleaners the support is always there and always friendly. But topping everything, from mum's point of view - the food! Lovely and varied menus and special days and the sweet trolley and hot coffee; waitering and proper napkins; a wine or a sherry available - she loves it!
This is now her home and we couldn't have chosen a better one.
Reply from Rares Pop, General Manager at The Cotswold HomeThank you so much for your kind words.

We're very happy to have had Mum at Rush Court over the last few years. The staff are always very positive and friendly and have a great rapport with her. There is a good deal of refurbishment going on the moment which will provide a freshened dining area in the nursing section together with a cafe.
We're looking forward to sitting in the courtyard in the sun drinking tea with her. I must make a special mention of the 'entertainment' team who are bursting with enthusiasm and novel ideas to enrich the lives of the residents.
Reply from Nike Ajewole, General Manager at Rush CourtThank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review. we are incredibly grateful for your kind word about refurbishment of Nursing dinning room and caf.

My experience directly collates with the personal relationships exercised by staff member and degree to which this is established with me. There are bound to be times when staff shortages affect the ideal and I accept the ups and downs of life in a care home overall.

My mother has been a resident for over three years and we are very pleased with the care she is receiving. The staff look after her well and encourage her to take part in activities within the Home. She likes to walk with the aid of a zimmer frame and is encouraged to do so .
She particularly enjoys
concerts by visiting musicians and this is a regular feature of the activities provided. The team providing social events work hard to provide entertainment and activities throughout the year, producing a stimulating environment.
The meals are good and many alternatives are offered .
The Home looks attractive and comfortable. The different seasons are marked by colourful and attractive decorations. The Dining room is often decorated to mark particular events.
The bedrooms are a bit small but have en-suite facilities and are kept at a comfortable temperature. We're impressed with the efforts to keep the rooms cool in heatwaves.
Regular visits by chiropodist and dentist would be good.
Reply from Rares Pop, General Manager at The Cotswold HomeThank you for your feedback. We're delighted your mother is happy, enjoys the activities, and feels well cared for. We appreciate your comments regarding chiropody and dental visits and will consider how to enhance these services. Your kind words will be shared with the team.

My Mother has been in the care home for about three months.
I think that she is receiving excellent care from the staff.
They are friendly and willing to help when it is needed. Her medical needs are attended to by the Local GP practice, and the on-site staff, with support from hospital staff if required.
The
home is clean and spacious, with a sheltered central garden area and good facilities.

My mother finally has found somewhere she feels safe and well looked after. She wanted to stay at home but she lost her mobility and was afraid of falling and being alone. Your caring is exceptional. Our mother has been transformed and is enjoying life again. She is happy and beginning to mix in with
the other residents. Thank you for giving her a new lease of life.

We were invited to attend the Cotswold Home pre Christmas lunch which as usual was a really excellent occasion.
We have been associated with the care home for over twelve years as both our mothers were past residents.
Mother in Law was in the home for three years during which time she received excellent
care.
My mother was in the home for nearly eleven years and reached her 100th birthday during that time.
Reply from Rares Pop, General Manager at The Cotswold HomeThank you for your kind review.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the pre-Christmas lunch and truly appreciate your long-standing association with the home. Your generous comments about the care provided to both your mother-in-law and your mother, especially during such significant years, mean a great deal to our team.
We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and our best wishes for the New Year.

I received a phone call from my mother-in-law early this morning as she was very distressed. She said that there had been a minimal number of staff on duty last night and they appeared to be struggling to meet demands. In recent weeks she has reported waiting for a very long time to be assisted with
personal care, has missed out on drinks and has not had medication/cream applied to her legs.
We feel that Rush Court is falling far short of its excellent aspirations.
*Whilst some staff are good, some are not so good and there appears to be a high proportion of agency staff (hence not giving a higher rating). A new manager has recently been appointed and I understand the staff issue is being addressed.
Reply from Nike Ajewole, General Manager at Rush CourtThank you for your review, as previously discussed with you at the time of raising concern. All issues raised was dealt with promptly and actions put in place.

Thank you for taking the time to review Rush Court. All concerns were actioned and I can assure you that we take any concerns raised seriously and reflect on our practices. I see your mother in-law regularly to ensure she is satisfied with her care and I will continue to monitor her progress. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you will like to discuss any issues. As per our values of Elizabeth Finn homes we strive to provide outstanding care for all of our residents whilst staying at Rush Court.
