Broome Park Nursing Home

This is a first-class home, with very wonderful people, always there for you, nothing is too much trouble, and all needs are met. I hope I can find a place just like this one if needed.

Very helpful people. Very friendly staff.

I have been to visit my friend on several occasions and have been very impressed with the cleanliness of the home. Also, I am overwhelmed by the staff. They are all so caring and go out of their way to help the residents.

In the day room, I found my friend and all the other residents looking clean, tidy and well looked after. The staff and the carers show love and respect for the residents and visitors too. I'm very pleased about everything I have seen so far.

Things have improved.

Dad seems to be settled. The staff are wonderful with him. They are very confused sometimes and the staff know how to deal with him.

My mum moved into Stable Cottage in May. The staff have been amazing, helping Mum settle in. Mum looks well and although it will take a while for her to completely settle in, so far I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention everyone has given her. We have a messaging group set up and receive lovely videos and regular updates. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel so welcome when we visit.

Broome Park is in a lovely spot and nice gardens and still getting used to staff and room, but staff are doing their best to care for my dad.

I am very happy with the home and my wife is settling in very well.

My wife has been here for the last two weeks. My fear was she would not settle in but due to the care of the nurses, she has settled in. The main thing I have picked up during this time is the empathy of the staff.

Staff are very approachable and will put any worries or concerns at bay. The care for my mum is very good and I have no worries at all. I am very happy to recommend this care home.

After a difficult start in the care home - one year on he is very happy there, much to his families relief. We are happy too. All staff are polite and friendly and attentive, which is appreciated it can not always be easy! It would be nice if the staff wore name badges so that we would know who we were talking to and could thank them. To my knowledge, the family have never been made to feel a nuisance. Laundry is sometimes a bit hit and miss, otherwise, excellent. Thank you!

The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating. My father-in-law appears very happy in Broompark.

My mother calls this place (Broome Park Nursing Home) home. She is very content and as happy as she could be. The attentive, friendly, willing and energetic staff are a complete delight. Living in South Africa, I feel that the professionalism I have witnessed in the last four visits is beyond adequate and I heartily congratulate the Broome Park team for sterling work, brilliantly executed. Thank you to each and every one of you!

Overall, for the time my sister has resided at Broome Park, our family have been very satisfied with her care. Over the years there have been some wonderful, caring staff. Unfortunately, the ever-changing management has been unsettling for families. The lack of care given to the grounds in the last few years is a real shame as it used to look beautiful and was a real asset. The building is old and in need of serious maintenance. Before the pandemic, it was always a struggle to use the coffee room at the front of the building to visit my sister when it was too cold to sit outside. The food is of a very good standard and it is lovely to have a cake made for a relative's birthday. The staff are the best thing about Broome Park, particularly the long-serving members and the Head Nursing Manager. They have had such a difficult job over the last year and have coped really well. However, there are times when there doesn't seem to be enough staff on duty.

The care of my father, during the pandemic, has been really good. His mood has not changed, he is happy and relaxed. I put this down to the staff treating him well. He is clean and tidy when I see him. The home is lucky to have the staff they do.
