Moorhouse is a historical country house set in the heart of the village of Hindhead. Offering dementia and residential care, the home is registered for up to 36 residents on a permanent basis or for short term respite stays which are pre-bookable.

Bedrooms are light and individually decorated with the many enjoying undisturbed views over the National Trust’s Golden Valley. The majority of the ground floor rooms also benefit from patio doors opening directly into the mature landscape garden that surrounds the home.

A personalised and tailored care plan will be created and monitored daily using our electronic care system. Included in Our Weekly Fee: Home staffed 24 hours a day Meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner), unlimited snacks and drinks Accommodation with bed & and bedding, towels, bedroom furniture, chair, curtains, lighting and individually controlled heating Laundering of bedding, towels, and personal clothing (except dry cleaning) Unrestricted use of communal areas Cleaning and decoration of rooms Maintenance of grounds and gardens Wi-Fi access Range of in-house activities and external outings (excluding admission fees, if applicable) Care and daily assistance in line with assessment. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and professionalism of the staff at Moorhouse Care Home. They take amazing care of Dad, and it feels like one, big, happy family. Communication is excellent, and they are always there with advice and reassurance. The ladies at Moorehouse have set my mind at ease
with their warmth and a listening ear, and I have no qualms about having their dedicated team caring for Dad. This is a care home where they really do care. A home away from home. Wonderful! Thank you.

My Mum was transferred to Moorhouse on the 13 June. The transition for Mum was a smooth process. Mum has settled in well over the past few days. The staff at Moorhouse are wonderful, compassionate, empathetic and welcoming. The environment is safe and staff extremely supportive in what can be a challenging
working environment.
Moorhouse feels very family orientated with the welfare of its residents at the centre of the care home.
My father and I were made to feel so welcome on our initial visit.

Auntie moved in on 3rd April this year so not been long but. She has settled in quickly, looks happy & younger, her eyes are brighter, she chats laughs, she's suffered with anxiety since young but this seems to have lifted from her Shoulders. The staff are fabulous, friendly, kind, take time to get

Moorhouse nursing home where both my parents are currently residing are doing an excellent job for which we are extremely grateful. They have excellent management and all the staff are committed to giving those at the care home the very best care that they can give. From the first contact with them
they were super-efficient, and everything was done quickly and with no fuss. The care given is outstanding. One reason being that their model is to always have sufficient staff to deal at peak times during the day and staff are always all motivated and professional. The leadership is outstanding and sets the tone for staff. Form excellent. We are glad that this is where our parents are.

Mum has been at Moorhouse for Just over 4 years and things have been a bit up and down with Care. But since a new experienced manager was appointed in September 2024 there have been many improvements to the care and quality of life for the residents. Staffing levels have been good, with many long term
staff who provide excellent and compassionate care to the residents. The home has a very warm and happy feeling and I'm happy with Service provided.

Always found staff v welcoming, although they're always busy with residents care. The overall impression is a well maintained and vital care home. Residents appear happy and content, no one is agitated or insecure, this would indicate residents needs (physical & emotional) are being met consistently.
Staff are professional and friendly. The home is a perfect size - not too many residents, nice balance in numbers. No neglect - everyone is caring, compassionate to the residents needs. Spotlessly clean environment - reassuring loved ones are in good hands. Would highly recommend the are home - note for improvement a small day room near reception for more private visits.

Mum was taken to the garden centre by two staff members to buy some compost so she could plant some daffodil bulbs in the containers. She also had a look around and bought some of her favourite biscuits. When I spoke to Mum that night she said it was the first time since being at Moorhouse it felt like
a 'normal' day, more like being at home. She had really enjoyed planting out the bulbs when she got back to Moorhouse.

My mother was cared for with love and great attention to her well-being in a very difficult time in her life as she suffered from dementia and physical problems. My sister moved into Moorhouse Care Home in August 2024. She recognised she needed 24 hour care after living alone in a cottage for many years. She settled quickly and has said the staff are excellent, supportive, attentive and helpful. The food is good, very regular and if you have to go into such

This was my mum's first Xmas at Moorhouse. She had such a lovely time and has said this has been one of the best Xmas in recent years. Involved in the Xmas party, which she enjoyed immensely and so very proud of her daughter who provided the music on this occasion The panto and Xmas day lunch were amazing
and all the staff made her feel so special. I want to thank you all so much for making this the best Xmas for my mum and giving us, all the family, so much peace of mind that she is being cared for so well.

My wife arrived at Moorhouse in November 2024 and has settled in well and has been supported by friendly, caring, professional staff.
She has a lovely, well-furnished and well-decorated room which is very comfortable. The food is nutritious and suits my wife and she is participating in the varied daily
activities programme which is completely organised and enthusiastically encouraged. It was a difficult decision to admit my wife into a care home but it is working out well which is a great relief and all at Moorhouse have assisted in this. Thank you.

Mum was 99 years old and moved into Moorhouse for the last 3 months of her life. The staff were always wonderful to her and welcoming to our family. The evening before she died she said how lucky she felt to be where she was. Would thoroughly recommend Moorhouse.

What a lovely change has occurred at Moorhouse following the appointment of a new temporary manager to the home.
There is a happy atmosphere in the building, the staff are smiling and now talking to the residents during the week. This sadly didn't happen under the previous management team. Long it
may continue.
The food quality is so much better. We now have our mid-week roast back on the menu, much better than having sausages twice a week for our midday lunch.
All in all, they are looking up.

My mother-in-law has been at Moorhouse for a number of years and during this time she has developed into a happy and sociable person. The care she has received has been outstanding. The staff are always kind and helpful. The home feels very homely and the food looks nutritious and delicious, like a

Moorhouse has provided my mum with an excellent level of care since starting earlier this year. She has settled in well and really likes the staff around her and the food. She has never been an outgoing person but it is a joy to see her joining in an afternoon sing-along and being a positive part of
the community. From a time when she was in real difficulty, Moorhouse Care Home saved her old age and made it enjoyable again.

We have many different personalities in Moorhouse, they all make up our Moorhouse family. We listen to our resident's wishes and encourage all of our residents to have a meaningful life, in a multitude of ways. I have seen your mum up dancing (and I have the photos!). When the singer began to sing a particular song with a small amount of encouragement we had her up on her feet dancing with a great big smile on her face. Our food is home cooked and we always involve the residents and their likes and dislikes in the menu. We use local shops and suppliers as Ashberry Health Care's ethos is to keep our care homes in the centre of our community by engaging with and supporting our local shops and businesses. When our residents are happy: we are happy, thanks again.
