On behalf of my family we are extremely pleased with the care, consideration and attention given to our sister. During some recent health problems including chest infection, nora virus, nose bleeds and more recently high blood pressure readings, she has received extra care delivered with kindness.

My mum was in Broomy Hill nursing home for nearly 3 years. This was after a difficult time for us, my mum had been admitted to another care home who advertise specialist care for dementia, which was not the case ! Thank goodness for Broomy Hill they gave my mum the care she needed, they supported the
family during challenging times. The care and support was outstanding, the staff are fantastic, they see you as a family suffering whilst the resident is being treated with respect and kindness throughout the period they are at Broomy Hill. I have great admiration for all the staff and I can't thank them for the care they gave mum and the support they gave our family. Truly remarkable people ! Thank You
Reply from Julie Hamill, Home Manager at Broomy Hill Nursing HomeMany thanks for taking the time to provide us with such wonderful feedback, it was an honour to care for both your mum and your family. I will share your kind words with the team

Holmer Court Care Home

My mum was looked after at Holmer Court for just over 3 years. I cannot rate it highly enough. I found all the staff to be kind and caring, often going above and beyond. Peace of mind in these circumstances cannot be underestimated. It is such a big decision to make when it comes to entrusting the
care of your most loved ones. I never doubted the care that she was getting and you can't put a price on that.

There is a special place in my heart for Claire, the manager, who was always there when I needed her. She is incredibly professional and negotiated brilliantly on my behalf during difficult circumstances. It is very clear that all members of the team are valued highly by the management and there is a great emphasis on staff well-being and fun. I know how busy Claire is, and yet she would make time for me at the drop of a hat. She will never know how much her kindness meant to me. I will be eternally grateful.

Reply from Claire Boulter, Manager at Holmer Court Care HomeThank you Sue for taking the time to write such a lovely review for us at Holmer Court, it is so gratefully received. I will share this with the team.
Warmest wishes from us all at Holmer

Don't take my word, arrange a guided tour and check (especially):
Impressive levels of staffing: ever on the move, attending - usually within seconds - to patients' needs, cheerfully and sympathetically.
Imaginative group activities including live animals
Major investments ensuring comprehensive
security (alarm systems, keypad door locks, tablet communications), risk-free movement of patients, TVs in all communal areas.
Spacious individual bedrooms with full toilet facilities.
Comfortable seating throughout, all in good repair.
Excellent in-house cooked meals together with equally satisfying baked desserts.
There's more but I've run out of space

We found the staff to be excellent overall and very attentive to the residents and guests. We visited my mother for a short time last week and were very well looked after at all times and were able to see how well the staff look after our mother and care for the residents generally. The activities also
were very good including the quiz and levels of enthusiasm from the staff who make all efforts to engage with the residents and guests also. We were very happy overall to see how well our mother is being looked after in such a caring place and beautiful location. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome during our visit and for looking after our mother so well.

Engelberg is a charming, clean mid-sized retirement facility built into a beautiful edwardian home in Wolverhampton. Staff are hard-working, gentle and caring with a good attitude, under efficient management. Food is good, with tasty healthy menus alongside traditional fare. Daily activities and regular
outings are part of the package. I trust Engelberg to take good care of my mum in her remaining years.

As a family we cannot thank all the staff at Broomy Hill for looking after our Mum with dignity and compassion for nearly three years.
The last three months have been difficult for us as a family to navigate but with the help of all the staff we have.
Our Mum passed away at Broomy Hill and the staff
were so kind to us, but you would expect nothing else from them!
They are a brilliant group of carers from the home Manager, assistant Manager, carers, cleaners, cooks and the office staff - thank you Broomy Hill for all you did for Mum.

It took mum a little while to settle and also for me to trust staff with her care. However, I was relieved to discover the team overall is really caring and kind. They try hard to understand mum's needs and to keep her settled and happy.
The activities provided for residents are lovely and the home
are good at maintaining links with family. Mum enjoys the food provided and is eating better than at home! Well done to the kitchen staff.
As a visitor, I find the staff kind, courteous and very friendly. Thanks for looking after mum so well!

Would like to see more options for outside use. Small patio outside the day room would be a welcome addition. It wouldn't take much for it to be made safe and a bit bigger so that residents could enjoy fresh air and sunshine on good weather days.

My mum has been a resident for around 5 weeks now. She has no previous experience of care services or residential care and was living independently until her admission to hospital.
She has settled in very quickly considering and all staff have been understanding and supportive. Mom has enjoyed the activities
so far and particularly looks forward to meal times! She says they are really delicious.
Mom had to cope with the lockdown and then her own isolation and this did u settle her. She is now starting to settle down to the routine again.
Thank you to all at Engelberg so far.

My aunt has been at Allt Y Mynydd Nursing Home near on 1 year. During her time, she has been given the utmost care. Her wound has healed, but unfortunately, she is now unable to walk (possibly due to old age or lack of movement). The staff are extremely courteous and very caring.
Food wise, I feel
the standard should be better - some days it's very good, some days not.
It would be good on times if the staff would check to see if the patient are eating their food! All in all, it's an excellent place.

Just a quick huge thank-you to Julie the Manager and all her staff at Moorhouse particularly Red and Penny the care managers for looking after my mother so well. Their attention to detail is superb and no request too small. My mother has been there for three years now under various regimes and since
those three have been in charge I have certainly noticed an improvement in the high standard of care that she receives. Mention must also be made to other long serving staff in Anjana, the Sikh gentlemen and Loren who are very kind and devoted to their jobs.. I have also noticed how well the staff are involved in all the activities (Katherine and Nikhitha)
Thank-you again.
