My father-in-law was admitted to Broomy Hill for assessment. His wife passed away. He stayed there for 6-weeks until we found him accomodation near to our home.
All the staff at Broomy Hill were kind, caring, considerate, & treated him with dignity & understood all his needs, doing their best to accomodate
them.
We could not have managed without them. We knew he was safe & cared for.

I cannot recommend Holmer Court highly enough as I was a resident there for only two months as I was so well looked by all the carers and nurses. I was VERY sad when I was moved to a different nursing home, so much so that I started having '' episodes' a bit like having hallucinations' all the carers
were sad to see me move and two actually cried when told i was moving, so much so that one of the nurses, Sarah and I are friends and she visits me here . Also one of the other residents is happy to be friends and visit me here.

Engelberg Care Home

from Groff H (Son of Resident) published on 4 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My 92 year old mum moved into Engelberg care home after realising that she needed to be looked after. She choose Engelberg as she had a couple of friends who lived there. She was welcomed from the off. The staff are very friendly and the care home caters for many different stages of life. It is very
well equipped home. There's a variety of activities laid on twice a day.
Mum can choose to stay in her room, or join the activities. Mums mobility is poor and she relies on a wheelchair. The carers are respectful and considerate when getting her into bed or into the wheelchair or sorting her out with the toilet.
The home provide medical support as and when required. There's a hairdresser who attends the home once a week. It's comfortable to know that mum is being well looked after.
I would recommend Engelberg Care home to anyone considering moving their relatives into care.
Reply from Dan Cash, Home Manager at Engelberg Care HomeMany Thanks for your review and kind words. We are all so happy that Mum has settled in so well and look forward to getting to know her better over the coming weeks and months. The staff will all be thrilled to hear your kind words.
Regards

Dan

I have been visiting my nan here for over a year- new company have recently taken over and can instantly see improvements all round. My nan has dementia and the level of commitment and care all the team show is heartwarming. Decor and garden were looking like they lacked some attention, but over the
last month I've seen the team working hard to make it the beautiful home it is. Management team have a hands on approach, housekeeping is second to none, food is home cooked and superb. I cannot recommend the home enough. Nan is happier here than she was at home thanks to Brockworth house.

My dad was in Broomy Hill from June 2025-October 2025 during his time here he was looked after so well, and as a family we felt so happy and relaxed that dad was somewhere that knew him, cared for him and looked after him when we no longer could. During dad's final weeks/days not only did they look
after dad with respect care and dignity they also looked after us as a family. I will never forget the care they provided to not only dad but to us all during one of the hardest times of our lives. We are forever grateful for the wonderful staff at Broomy Hill!

Our lovely Mum had to leave her previous care home as they couldn't meet her dementia needs..
We moved her to Broomy Hill in August.
This was, beyond a doubt, the best decision we've ever made!
Broomy Hill is run to an extremely high, professional standard by the wonderful manager, Julie.
She clearly
knows how to run a care home as all the staff you come into contact with seem so happy to be working there.. and I mean all of the staff!
Everyone chats to Mum, no matter what their role is!
She's clean and happy, and is always smiling when we go to visit.. we have seen a massive change in Mum's personality since we moved her here.. she's back to being like our Mum again!! Laughing, chatting and smiling ..
We have nothing but praise for Julie and her wonderful team at Broomy Hill, and would definitely recommend this care home to anyone

My mother only had a short stay at Broomy Hill Nursing Home and during that stay she was well looked after and the staff were excellent. Above all, the manager and another member of staff, in particular, were the beating heart of this home. My mother has moved to another care home which is under the
same management of this care home, so I'm confident that she will be looked after well. The other home is also run by Ashberry Care Homes. Well done.
