We can't thank the staff enough at broomy hill nursing home for everything they have done for our auntie/sister over the past 4+ years. From the excellent care she received, to the staff who were consistently kind, attentive and would go above and beyond for her. It really was a "home from home."You
always made us feel so welcomed and gave us peace of mind that she was with you at broomy hill. We are extremely grateful for you all. Again thank you from the bottom of our hearts, sister, niece and their families x

Mum has recently moved to Holmer Court. The reason we chose Holmer Court is its lovely homely feel. Mum has settled and adjusted well, I think this is mainly due to the excellent staff and the attention she receives. They go above and beyond, and you can see that they genuinely care, not only for
the residents but for family members too which is lovely. I look forward to visiting Mum and it's nice to see her in such a happy, friendly environment where she has made new friends and can join in with new activities. In Mum's own words - "the ladies are nice to talk too and the staff are so kind"

Every time I have visited the staff have always been very friendly, cheery and helpful, as well as that they are accommodating and they are happy to find a quiet area for family visiting if needed which is lovely when visiting. In the dryer weather it is great to be able to sit outside in the garden
and enjoy that area too.

The staff at Broomy hill have been exceptional, friendly and very caring.
My Gran has been very well looked after and she has settled in well.
We enjoy visiting 2-3 times a week and the staff are chatty smiley and you can see that they care for all the residents.
The manager is wonderful, she
is full of energy and has a very caring nature. One staff member in particular is wonderful and very welcoming and always lets us know how my Gran has been.
The receptionist always greets up with a smile and a chat. All the day carers and night carers are wonderful. The food is great and a good variety. My Grans bedroom is wonderful light and spacious.

This is the perfect home for my wife and partner of over 60 years. The staff are very friendly and provide a truly relaxing environment. My wife has developed a close relationship with the staff and helps them in the kitchen and garden. She enjoys complete freedom within the home which is a much
safer place than our own home. Thanks to all the staff.

My mum has been there for over a month now and I have been so impressed with the care from all the staff. Everyone is warm, patient, kind, helpful and professional. Mums health had deteriorated very suddenly and rapidly but within a few weeks her physical health has hugely improved.
The Weir has a
lovely communal and family friendly feel-even pets are welcomed. There is a genuine sense of care and compassion, which seems to have been lost in many health care facilities.
I would recommend The Weir to anyone in the sad position where a loved one needs residential care.

The staff provided exceptional support and reassurance to my grandfather and our family following the challenging decision to transition him to care. From his arrival, he has consistently received dignified, respectful, and patient treatment. He frequently praises the staff's kindness and expresses
deep gratitude for their care. He's also enjoying the diverse range of activities offered. Our visits are always welcoming, inquiries are promptly addressed, and concerns are effectively alleviated. As a family, we are exceedingly pleased with the level of care provided.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother-in-law has been at Broomy Hill for approximately 2 years, her care has been great and our family has seen a much improved condition. Having come to Broomy from another "care" home, which allowed a broken hip and ungradable pressure sore to go untreated! My mother-in-law is a wonderful lady
who is finally getting the care she deserves. The staff are very engaging and every aspect of her care, dignity, health, and wealth of experience is catered for. We got my mother-in-law a special postural pressure relief tilt-in-space chair, some of the chairs don't give postural support for the residents. Communal areas could be more homely with nicer furnishings and pictures. Activities displayed on the noticeboard, regular engagement activities such as making, painting and singers coming in, also activities like summer fair, basic engagement such as balloons is very good for hand-eye coordination. Some resident rooms are nicer than others some quite small and basic. Limited road parking.

My mother never wanted to be in a care home, but due to her needs which I could no longer provide, I was left with no alternative but to find a home for her. On the recommendation of a friend, whose own mother was at Holmer, I was fortunate to get a room over two years ago. From day one, the staff made
my mother feel welcome and put her at ease. The care they provide not only to her but to all of the residents allows me to rest easy knowing that mum is in an environment where the utmost respect is given to her by all the staff (from the cooks, cleaners, carers, and managers).

The atmosphere on entering the home is always a positive one with encouragement given to all the elderly residents, when they need it, along with support to those of us who visit. A little humour and a smile goes a long way to make people feel better in all sorts of circumstances and Holmer Court staff do that naturally. For people needing assurances about care homes, then a visit to Holmer Court will provide just that.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Broomy Hill for approx 15 months.
Whilst it's difficult to see your loved one deteriorate, all the staff are friendly and show care and compassion.
The home has recently seen a change in management, whilst we were happy with my mother-in-law's care before, the
changes the new manager has made have improved the environment and culture of the home.
Small things which make a massive difference.
When I visit I'm always greeted with a friendly hello from the receptionist, the cares, the cook everyone, thank you to all at Broomy Hill for the kindness you are showing my mum-in-law and her family.
