My aunt has been staying at the home for the past three weeks for respite care, and we have been very pleased with her experience. From the outset, both the Business Manager and Care Manager have been extremely helpful, approachable and supportive, which has made the whole process much easier for us.

The staff have been friendly and caring, and we have felt reassured that my aunt is being well looked after, knowing that she is safe and comfortable has given us great peace of mind.

Everyone at the home has shown kindness and given support to both her and the family.

Mum has been a permanent resident at Engelberg Care Home for six weeks, following on from a respite stay. She had been living independently in the family home until an admission and lengthy hospital stay resulted in this no longer being possible. After extensive research and a very informative visit, we felt that the pleasant environment and good facilities at Engelberg would be somewhere we would feel confident recommending to Mum. We selected a light, bright, well equipped bedroom and we were all made to feel welcome by the staff straight away. This is a massive period of adjustment, especially as Mum now has greatly reduced mobility. The management staff are supportive in helping us to navigate this and Mum is starting to settle into a new routine. She looks forward to the weekly visits from the hairdresser and enjoys the food and activities. Management, senior staff and medical professionals are easy to contact and respond in a timely manner.

Sally and the team are informative, kind and caring about their residents. Facilities especially the food are excellent. When dad moved to Engelberg we thought he may not reach his 90th birthday as he had not been stimulated at the previous home. Now he looks great and was made to feel very special on his 90th ! It's certainly a home I do not mind visiting.

On behalf of my family we are extremely pleased with the care, consideration and attention given to our sister. During some recent health problems including chest infection, nora virus, nose bleeds and more recently high blood pressure readings, she has received extra care delivered with kindness.

Engelberg is a charming, clean mid-sized retirement facility built into a beautiful edwardian home in Wolverhampton. Staff are hard-working, gentle and caring with a good attitude, under efficient management. Food is good, with tasty healthy menus alongside traditional fare. Daily activities and regular outings are part of the package. I trust Engelberg to take good care of my mum in her remaining years.

Mom decided to move into Engelberg when daily living became a little more challenging in her own home. This was a massive transition for her but she was welcomed immediately by all staff, well looked after and safe and as a family we were also very well supported. Sadly, this was all too short a stay but during her time there Mom enjoyed the wide range of activities offered to residents and staff were very supportive of her individual needs and included her in all activities as far as possible. She also looked forward to the twice weekly Church services which were conducted in a lovely, friendly manner and I enjoyed joining in with the services when I could. Staff were considerate and respectful at all times and tried their very best to make everything comfortable and easy for Mom. A new bed was organised - without request - when staff decided that this would assist with Mom's independence and mobility in getting in and out of bed.

Thoroughly recommend Engelberg for your relatives.

Mum has been a resident for about six months. During that time, she's been well cared for. When she was struggling to get in and out of bed, a new one that can be raised or lowered was provided without request. A wheelchair is provided for use within the home and for me to take her out. Care staff look after her with kindness and consideration of her personal preferences and needs. Overall, the care has been excellent.

My mom has been at Engelberg since just before Christmas 24. The staff are so helpful and caring. My mom came in a shadow of her previous self, but after 4 months, she is back to her normal self and thoroughly enjoying life. The communication from her Key Worker is first class. Trying to find the right care home for the first time can be quite daunting as there are so many varied choices but we are so pleased we chose Engelberg.

Mum moved to Engelberg after finding living at home difficult. I am impressed with the friendly caring staff who have helped mum settle in. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. She enjoys the daily activities and walks around the beautiful gardens. It's very comforting to know mum is being so well cared for in a lovely environment.

From February 2024 when my sister first came to Engelberg from another home in Wolverhampton, I have no reason to complain. All her needs are cared for and in return, a lot of pressure has been lifted from my shoulders. The management and staff are very kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

Mum has recently transferred to permanent residency at Engelberg having had a couple of respite stays. She is so settled it is almost unbelievable! She has benefited from the social and activity programme and looks forward to her times in the lounge with other residents and staff. The staff are fully committed, caring and attentive to detail on an individual basis. We are as a family always made to feel welcome when we visit and kept informed of any issues of concern. A lovely home with lovely staff, my dad has stayed here three times for respite and twice he asked to go back and stay, would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a home for their relatives or for themselves. My dad was respected at all times and very well cared for.

My father is a resident at Engelberg, moving there a month ago. For anyone moving to a care home for the first time, it is quite overwhelming at first. From the moment he arrived, the staff ensured he quickly felt like it was as much like home as possible. The management staff are excellent and make sure that side of things is well managed. Communication is very good. The room is kept clean and dad’s needs are well considered. He is at 88 slow in moving having had a fall but he is still quite with it and is enjoying the activities each day and the occasional game of dominoes. Food is plentiful and there is a choice. A nurse visits the home each week and he has already had chiropody and his hair done! Everyone is friendly and the facilities are housed in nice big light communal rooms. He attended church before and therefore is pleased they have services each week in the home for those who want it. I have every confidence he is being very well looked after.
