Allt Y Mynydd care home staff did so much to encourage my mother to feel welcome there. It is a friendly place, and everyone is so very kind. The rooms are nice and spacious. I am so very grateful for all they did for my mother.

An incredible team of staff who made me feel very welcome from the start. Everyone has gone above and beyond. My Mum was treated with dignity at all times. I couldn't have asked for better care. The Support given to me meant more than I can say, making a difficult time easier. I am truly grateful for the care and kindness both my mum and I were shown. The kindness of every staff member will stay with me always. Thank you all.

I currently have a family member who is a resident at Allt y Mynydd Nursing Home. He is happy there and over time has settled in well. The staff are kind and helpful and he feels that they are now a part of his family. All his needs are met, with a healthy balance of independence from having his own room and the opportunity of dining and partaking in various activities with other residents. We as family are treated with respect and kept well informed. Always greeted with a smile!

I have been here a month now and I cannot speak highly enough of the home. The staff are so very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them no matter what time of the day you need their help. In the hot spell that we've just had the staff made sure that the patients were alright plenty to drink and kept us cool as as possible but they must've been melting in the heat themselves. The food is very nice and plenty of it and if you don't like something, you can always ask for something else.I mustn't forget to mention the cleaners and the laundry people who are also very caring. I would just like to finish this review by saying a big thank you to everybody at Allt Y Mynydd For making me feel welcome and looking after me so very well.

I am so grateful to all the staff for taking good care of my mum. I cannot fault anyone. The staff were excellent with their kind, respectful dignity that they gave towards my mum. My mum could not have had this level of care anywhere else. I myself would like to thank everyone for the care they gave in the last days of her life.

My mother has been resident for over four years and at all times we have found the staff friendly, good humoured and caring. This means our mother is treated with dignity and consideration as her dementia has worsened, in particular the food served is always appropriate for each resident and of high quality. We recently had a 96th birthday party at Blaenos and the food served was excellent and the way the staff provided for us was outstanding. Thank you.

Every time I visit my mother, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's reassuring for me to see that they always treat my mother with the utmost respect and dignity. The food is always delicious with every resident's individual needs catered for, and the activities are well thought out, interesting and appropriate.

What a lovely, dedicated team of carers you have at Allt Y Mynydd. It's a pleasure to see that you provide the utmost care, dignity and comfort to my son, who is suffering from FTD a very cruel disease. I always get a warm welcome when I visit and the atmosphere is good.

Many, many thanks for making my mother's 90th so special. What a super spread you laid on for us. You even took my mother on a little trip to see an Elvis Presley impersonator. We couldn't ask for more. Many thanks.

Words are not adequate to describe my thanks to Blaenos nursing home. My late brother was there for 3 years & the care, compassion & respect shown to him & ourselves as his family were outstanding. He was so very well looked after by the wonderful staff . He received excellent meals,& was treated with dignity patience & friendship. The atmosphere was always friendly & everywhere spotless. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart to all the staff for your dedicated care of my brother- I will always be extremely grateful to you all.

We found the staff to be excellent overall and very attentive to the residents and guests. We visited my mother for a short time last week and were very well looked after at all times and were able to see how well the staff look after our mother and care for the residents generally. The activities also were very good including the quiz and levels of enthusiasm from the staff who make all efforts to engage with the residents and guests also. We were very happy overall to see how well our mother is being looked after in such a caring place and beautiful location. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome during our visit and for looking after our mother so well.

Would like to see more options for outside use. Small patio outside the day room would be a welcome addition. It wouldn't take much for it to be made safe and a bit bigger so that residents could enjoy fresh air and sunshine on good weather days.

It would be good on times if the staff would check to see if the patient are eating their food! All in all, it's an excellent place.

My mother went into the home late Nov 2025. At first she was not happy as adjusting to not living in her own home, but now she loves it. They do so many things to keep them active in mind, food is excellent, and the staff are fabulous, everyone is so nice and helpful, they can not do enough for her.

Your positive attitude & willingness to help all the residents when we had a fall of snow the team of carers brought some in on a plat for the residents to see & touch & bring many memories back & stimulate conversation. How thoughtful.

I have received very good care since arriving at the time late November 2025. The staff and manager are so caring, and the food is fab, can not fault it. I have a lovely room, and I am very happy here, thank you.
