I have nothing but praise for the staff and all the wonderful activities that they do with the residents. Facilities are kept to a very high standard.

Since my mum has been in their care she seems to be enjoying herself a lot more. Always has a smile for any staff member who walks by and they never fail to interact with her even when busy.

Kind caring staff who are 'always' there to help.
I just feel giving a lunch of lasagne + garlic bread to a patient who is not eating was not a good idea. Perhaps scrambled egg, icecream or some v soft food would have been a better option.
As for the haircut or shave - I am still in shock!

Perhaps the hairdresser should address her hair cutting procedure.

Im so sorry we have not met your expectations, i did of course investigate your hairdressing complaint at the time and feedback given to our stylist.

My father was only there for 5 weeks. He passed away on the 2nd June, he has numerous illnesses. But I can honestly say the manager was so caring, thoughtful, and very compassionate. Couldnt do enough for us, Dad passed peacefully. His favourite song was being played. The staff were very knowing he had passed and were very compassionate. Manager helpful, made sure we were okay.

My mother became a resident in January, the management and staff were very welcoming to Mum & us as family. The care has been amazing & very individual. She has a lovely room and her possesions are looked after.

When you arrive staff always great you by your name & know where Mum is. Its lovely that you never see residents sat in the same place every day. Staff are always talking to residents and doing activities. Thankyou!!!

My mum was in Broomy Hill nursing home for nearly 3 years. This was after a difficult time for us, my mum had been admitted to another care home who advertise specialist care for dementia, which was not the case ! Thank goodness for Broomy Hill they gave my mum the care she needed, they supported the family during challenging times. The care and support was outstanding, the staff are fantastic, they see you as a family suffering whilst the resident is being treated with respect and kindness throughout the period they are at Broomy Hill. I have great admiration for all the staff and I can't thank them for the care they gave mum and the support they gave our family. Truly remarkable people ! Thank You

Don't take my word, arrange a guided tour and check (especially):
Impressive levels of staffing: ever on the move, attending - usually within seconds - to patients' needs, cheerfully and sympathetically.
Imaginative group activities including live animals
Major investments ensuring comprehensive security (alarm systems, keypad door locks, tablet communications), risk-free movement of patients, TVs in all communal areas.
Spacious individual bedrooms with full toilet facilities.
Comfortable seating throughout, all in good repair.
Excellent in-house cooked meals together with equally satisfying baked desserts.

There's more but I've run out of space

As a family we cannot thank all the staff at Broomy Hill for looking after our Mum with dignity and compassion for nearly three years.
The last three months have been difficult for us as a family to navigate but with the help of all the staff we have.
Our Mum passed away at Broomy Hill and the staff were so kind to us, but you would expect nothing else from them!

They are a brilliant group of carers from the home Manager, assistant Manager, carers, cleaners, cooks and the office staff - thank you Broomy Hill for all you did for Mum.

I can't thank Broomy Hill enough for everything they have done and are still doing for our mum. We had to remove her from a home that really didn't suit her needs and they have made her settling in a breeze. This is the first time we have seen her happy and getting involved. The manager & assistant manager have been truly amazing with us and her and it is so lovely to see them so hands on with the residents. We really don't need to worry about Mum as she is getting such good care from the whole team there.

My father-in-law was admitted to Broomy Hill for assessment. His wife passed away. He stayed there for 6-weeks until we found him accomodation near to our home.
All the staff at Broomy Hill were kind, caring, considerate, & treated him with dignity & understood all his needs, doing their best to accomodate them.

We could not have managed without them. We knew he was safe & cared for.

My dad was in Broomy Hill from June 2025-October 2025 during his time here he was looked after so well, and as a family we felt so happy and relaxed that dad was somewhere that knew him, cared for him and looked after him when we no longer could. During dad's final weeks/days not only did they look after dad with respect care and dignity they also looked after us as a family. I will never forget the care they provided to not only dad but to us all during one of the hardest times of our lives. We are forever grateful for the wonderful staff at Broomy Hill!

All of the staff are great, patient and considerate of the situation. They encourage his love of gardening and often take him out for trips around town. He's able to socialise and stay stimulated. Our lovely Mum had to leave her previous care home as they couldn't meet her dementia needs..
We moved her to Broomy Hill in August.
This was, beyond a doubt, the best decision we've ever made!
Broomy Hill is run to an extremely high, professional standard by the wonderful manager, Julie.
She clearly knows how to run a care home as all the staff you come into contact with seem so happy to be working there.. and I mean all of the staff!
Everyone chats to Mum, no matter what their role is!
She's clean and happy, and is always smiling when we go to visit.. we have seen a massive change in Mum's personality since we moved her here.. she's back to being like our Mum again!! Laughing, chatting and smiling ..

We have nothing but praise for Julie and her wonderful team at Broomy Hill, and would definitely recommend this care home to anyone

My mother only had a short stay at Broomy Hill Nursing Home and during that stay she was well looked after and the staff were excellent. Above all, the manager and another member of staff, in particular, were the beating heart of this home. My mother has moved to another care home which is under the same management of this care home, so I'm confident that she will be looked after well. The other home is also run by Ashberry Care Homes. Well done.

The staff at Broomy hill have been exceptional, friendly and very caring.
My Gran has been very well looked after and she has settled in well.
We enjoy visiting 2-3 times a week and the staff are chatty smiley and you can see that they care for all the residents.
The manager is wonderful, she is full of energy and has a very caring nature. One staff member in particular is wonderful and very welcoming and always lets us know how my Gran has been.

The receptionist always greets up with a smile and a chat. All the day carers and night carers are wonderful. The food is great and a good variety. My Grans bedroom is wonderful light and spacious.

With over 25 years of experience as a qualified general nurse, my career began as a district nurse, followed by advanced practice roles. I have worked in GP surgeries and urgent care centres before transitioning into care home management.

Originally from Liverpool, I moved away when my daughter left for university, although my heart remains connected to my beloved city. Four years ago, my husband and I, along with our two dogs, decided to settle in Hereford after years of living a nomadic lifestyle. We now enjoy a more rooted life, cherishing the time spent with our two grandchildren, who keep us active and youthful.

My passion lies in providing quality care for older adults, especially those living with dementia. I find great fulfilment in stepping away from the desk and working directly alongside my dedicated team.

Since joining Ashberry in August 2023, I have felt immensely proud to be part of this exceptional team. I am excited about the future and look forward to leading Broomy Hill towards continued excellence in care.
