With over 25 years of experience as a qualified general nurse, my career began as a district nurse, followed by advanced practice roles. I have worked in GP surgeries and urgent care centres before transitioning into care home management.
Originally from Liverpool, I moved away when my daughter left for university, although my heart remains connected to my beloved city. Four years ago, my husband and I, along with our two dogs, decided to settle in Hereford after years of living a nomadic lifestyle. We now enjoy a more rooted life, cherishing the time spent with our two grandchildren, who keep us active and youthful.
My passion lies in providing quality care for older adults, especially those living with dementia. I find great fulfilment in stepping away from the desk and working directly alongside my dedicated team.
Since joining Ashberry in August 2023, I have felt immensely proud to be part of this exceptional team. I am excited about the future and look forward to leading Broomy Hill towards continued excellence in care.
Having worked for several years in similar roles, my knowledge and experience helps to guide families through what can be a very difficult time in their lives. I’m very passionate about nursing and always strive to provide exceptional standards of care in the safest of environments.
I really enjoy my role, helping residents in their day-to-day living. The home is very friendly and we ensure everyone feels like they are home-from-home and living with one big happy family.
I have worked for Ashberry for 21 years and have 28 years’ experience in residential and nursing care. During my time with Ashberry I have worked my way from Care Assistant to Deputy Manager at our sister home Holmer Court. My role currently at Broomy Hill is Team Leader, I love being able to give the best quality care to our residents here.
With 13 years experience as a nurse I was excited to join the team at Broomy Hill. I enjoy improving the quality of life for our residents and think of them like my family.
I am new to the team here at Broomy Hill and currently studying my Level 4 in Health and Social Care with aspirations to become a nurse one day. It is a friendly and welcoming environment here and I enjoy being part of the resident's lives and part of the Broomy Hill family.
Every day, I'm honoured to provide hands-on support and companionship to our residents. Whether it's helping with daily tasks or simply sharing a smile, I'm dedicated to making a positive difference in their lives. Together with our team, we're creating a warm and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
I've dedicated nearly 15 years to nursing, starting in Zimbabwe before finding my place at Broomy Hill. Each day, I bring compassion to my interactions with residents, finding fulfilment in their smiles and gratitude. To aspiring nurses, I urge you to embrace the rewarding nature of care work and the genuine appreciation from residents. I'm grateful for the opportunity to make a difference here, and I look forward to continuing to enrich lives at Broomy Hill.
