We visit the home once a year as we live in Dorset and Somerset. We are always welcomed and have observed the following:-
- the staff speak to the residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
- the resident we visit is clean, suitably dressed and looks comfortable.
- we have observed a meal time and the food has been well presented and obviously enjoyed.
- the home looks clean and tidy.

- the staff have been helpful and friendly and have been able to accommodate our requests re. visiting our friend.

We are very pleased with the care my Aunt receives at Broomy Hill. She has total needs and all of these are very well catered for. The staff are all extremely pleasant and efficient. The monthly newsletters are gratefully received and it is lovely to see the photos of all that is going on. We love the easy access for visiting.

My wife has been a resident at Broomy Hill for just over three years as her condition has deteriorated. The care given increased and she was made more comfortable to suit her needs. I am very satisfied with her care and the condition she lives in.

My husband has been in Broomy Hill Nursing Home since September 2016 and I have nothing but praise for the staff and management. They are all so helpful on every level and keep me informed. The staff take a personal interest in all the residents. So much so that my husband, who is a good pianist, but lost the desire to play before he went to Broomy Hill, after only a few weeks and a little encouragement, he started to play again and is still playing now. Thank you, Broomy Hill.

With over 25 years of experience as a qualified general nurse, my career began as a district nurse, followed by advanced practice roles. I have worked in GP surgeries and urgent care centres before transitioning into care home management.

Originally from Liverpool, I moved away when my daughter left for university, although my heart remains connected to my beloved city. Four years ago, my husband and I, along with our two dogs, decided to settle in Hereford after years of living a nomadic lifestyle. We now enjoy a more rooted life, cherishing the time spent with our two grandchildren, who keep us active and youthful.

My passion lies in providing quality care for older adults, especially those living with dementia. I find great fulfilment in stepping away from the desk and working directly alongside my dedicated team.

Since joining Ashberry in August 2023, I have felt immensely proud to be part of this exceptional team. I am excited about the future and look forward to leading Broomy Hill towards continued excellence in care.
