It's just 6 weeks and I'm happy we've made a good decision to choose Rodwell House for Dad. The staff are polite and efficient and the home is well run. For the able residents, it's nice to see they are regularly socialising as a group when I arrive to see Dad.
This may be for watching TV, oldies singing along or for visiting entertainers.

Our family visited many similar homes and found Rodwell House to be cleaner, fresher and better aired than others. Room sizes are very good and en-suite facilities as standard.

Best home in this area. My husband is really happy here. Staff are very friendly and see that his needs are met. My husband is of normal intelligence and the care staff ensure that he's spoken to appropriately. I actually cannot fault this home.

My father moved here from another care home. We were very nervous to move and the impact on him. However, we needn't have worried. He was made to feel very welcome from day 1 and his room was a vast improvement over the previous. There is always a warm welcome by all members of staff and we are confident our father is in very good hands.

My mother has been at Rodwell House since September 2023. Moving into nursing care after having your own house and being independent is very difficult and as one might say a bitter pill to swallow. All the staff at Rodwell House have made this transition smooth and any small bumps, questions or concerns have been dealt with straight away and Mum has now become part of the family and is always encouraged to join in with any of the activities on offer but at the same time allowed space if she has a day that she wants to just be resting.

We have been visiting my aunt at Rodwell House for the past two months and always found staff from cleaners, carers and management helpful and very happy. Everyone always has a smile and a kind word. My aunt is happier than she has been for a while, content and relaxed and she loves all the carers and never said anything negative. Friends that visit have all been impressed and have all said how well she is being looked after.

My mother has been in Rodwell House for 7 weeks now and from the very first day the staff have been excellent. The food is also excellent and the carers never rush Mum when feeding her. All the facilities including rooms, dining room and gardens are all lovely and clean. We couldn't wish for a better home to look after Mum.

My father moved here just before Christmas. He settled in straight away, in fact, better than the previous outstanding home he was at. From the start of the process of moving him and onward, we have felt well-supported as a family. The staff are brilliant with him and understand his routine and fit around him. He loves the open space and being able to roam around and chat with the staff. The garden is lovely and having a children's play area is genius.

I have been visiting a resident every week since she was first admitted at the beginning of 2023. Over this time I had experienced and noted caring and attentive attention towards occupants, especially my ex-wife who when first admitted was very agitated by the different surroundings but now is very comfortable and relaxed with her everyday living in Rodwell House.

During Dad's stay at Rodwell House Care Home from May until he, sadly, died in Septment, he was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. He was always clean and tidy whenever we visited him, his room was clean and he told us the food was very good! The facilities in his room were excellent with a very safe hospital bed, large screen TV, clock, fridge, chairs and coffee table and his own toilet and shower in his wet room. The carers and nurses took time to care for his emotional needs as well as his physical ones and were very attentive.

Believe the staff do try and do care but this care home is very poor in nearly every respect. Parent was usually dirty, clothes and belongings lost, no activities, very poor nutrition, every corridor stinks of urine, was generally dirty, and little to no management oversight. I could go on very easily. Made the decision to move parent after a year, so pleased we made the move, parent is now transformed and the new home is incredible, as you should expect. Rodwell House could be fantastic, the building is great but everything else is truly dreadful.

We are sorry that we have not provided the expected level of care to your mother-in-law. However, we are in regular contact with our residents and their relatives and our latest surveys have indicated that the vast majority of them are satisfied with the level of service we provide in respect to...

I will be eternally grateful to the exceptional staff across all areas, laundry and cleaning teams to the skilled carers and nursing staff, for their support and care to my mum and our entire family. In my thirty years of professional life, I came into contact with many nursing homes that offered similar services to that of Rodwell House. I cannot think of even one that came up to the standards of compassion and care that Rodwell staff delivered. We live at a distance so when we telephoned, if at all possible, they took the phone to her and encouraged a few words from her. We were always offered refreshments. Her room was light, spacious and always kept clean. Her limited communication skills did not prevent the staff from identifying her needs and finding time to play her music tapes or put on 'Songs of Praise' for her to hear. The introduction of new technology will only enhance the experience of residents and their families and I wish them well for the future. Thank you.

Viewing Rodwell House under such difficult times was made as easy as possible. The staff are very welcoming and all our questions were answered along with information that we didn't ask but needed to know. Again moving in day was as seamless as possible, even allowing us to have lunch with my husband, who liked both his room and the view. Thank you Rodwell House for making a hard decision much easier.

My husband has been a resident at Rodwell starting with respite care in the old house, going onto permanent care. I would not want him in any other home apart from a 2-year break to another home (bad mistake) he has been with Rodwell House for about 9 years and I cannot fault their care.

Rodwell House is an ideal place for my mum. The facilities are excellent as are the very caring staff. I know that my mother's health and well-being are being closely monitored which is a huge relief to us all. My mum is very happy here and I feel she is safe and well cared for. Any issues are addressed and resolved swiftly.

The home is very spacious with wide corridors for excellent wheelchair access. Access to all floors is via two lifts. All the suites have well-designed facilities and the housekeeping is very professional and efficient. The lounges and dining rooms are very tastefully decorated and provide a friendly atmosphere throughout the day. Care and support is provided by care staff who are efficient and hardworking. However, training is an ongoing requirement.

1. Caring - putting the client's interests and needs first.
2. Well trained team.
3. Leadership- knowing that there is someone in overall control with a filtering down of responsibilities from the top.
There is no question that the staff are caring and very attentive to both physical and mental needs. They respect the residents but they also like them. They smile.
The team is well trained and this area continues to be addressed. Training can never stop or complacency steps in.

The home is well led and the leader is well supported by her team
