Excellent first impression and lovely rooms and garden. Day staff are competent and caring, but under too much pressure to attend to residents quickly. Night staff had a less positive attitude and were not as well-trained. The food excellent, entertainment was varied. The majority of staff were pleasant
and respectful. A pleasure to visit, and financially in line with other care homes. This was a good stepping stone for my husband on his way to regaining mobility and coming home permanently.

My first time visit. Staff were warm and friendly to both residents and visitors alike. Premises very clean and secure. facilities very good. I would welcome self help tea and coffee for visitors in the communal room, subject to safety considerations for residents. Staff I know would have and do provide
if asked but they were busy serving lunch and caring for residents and so it seemed a little selfish to ask.

I would like to thank all the staff for their exceptional care and professionalism in looking after my mother who had severe dementia. Their dedication and sincere care was there to see every time I went to see her and I am so glad she was able to live her limited life in the comfort that she always
received. Thank you to two staff members amongst the others - and another staff member in particular at the end - for easing the suffering both for my mother and my sister and I. From the bottom of my heart - thank you!

This is a pleasant care home to visit, giving me assurance that my father is cared for and looked after. All staff are plesant, courteous, and professional. The staff help with offering snacks and drinks, and providing a space where we can talk as a family. I've not seen planned entertainment, but am
informed about it and this is a nice experience for my father and other guests to have. My father mentions the nice food and enjoyable breakfasts too- I am pleased he is settled there

Since my Dad arrived at Dover House his care has been great. Compared to my Dad's previous care home, Dover House is clean and modern. The general layout of the care home is excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the communal areas are maintained to a high standard. Most importantly, the staff are professional,
friendly and always welcoming.

The general impression from other family members and friends including my own is that the residents are always clean and reasonably well dressed, albeit not always in their own clothes in our experience. The staff are all lovely and seem to really care which would have been difficult to maintain during
the high staff turnover period following Brexit. The finance department were particularly accommodating when the time came to sell my Mothers property - a whole different experience form that provided by the local Council, for sure!
The only bad taste i am left with after more than 5 years was the disappearance of my Mothers wedding ring which particularly upset my sister very badly and we felt that this was not properly investigated or concluded satisfactorily.

The team at Harmonia are quite simply amazing. My father had very severe dementia but remained physically quite strong and we were unable to find any care homes that could meet his needs and keep him safe despite trying several that apparently specialised in dementia care and challenging behaviour.
Dad eventually ended up in hospital and was discharged to Harmonia in February 2024 - the team there quite simply saved dad and us, his family. Dad was able to move around the home and garden as he pleased but with sympathetic supervision so that he didn't feel restricted. They keep residents entertained with appropriate activities including gardening- we still have a plant that dad grew from seed. He loved the delicious home made food! Harmonia's team gave him the most wonderful, genuinely loving care right through until his final, peaceful days in Jan 2025. We cannot thank them enough for the love and care that they provided dad and support for us as a family through a really awful time.

I cannot recommend Dover House highly enough. From the very first interaction, it was clear that this care home is a place where both residents and families are treated with the utmost care and respect. The staff are not only highly professional but also incredibly warm and compassionate, the environment
is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The dedication and compassion shown by all staff gave us peace of mind knowing our mother was in such good hands. Truly a wonderful place!

When we first looked around Rodwell House it compared very favourably with others we'd seen. As a modern purpose-built home it simply doesn't compare with older buildings which have been adapted. The care suites are large and airy and the communal areas are spotless. We regularly see the entrance hall
carpet being cleaned (not just hoovered).
Mum is bedbound but the built-in hoist and nursing chairs mean she can be taken downstairs for a sociable lunch and to enjoy the entertainment. She adores the pet therapy sessions! We were encouraged to make Mum's room her own by taking in belongings to personalise it. The kitchenette in her room means we can make our own drinks and sit in her comfy chairs for a natter, we know other visitors have a meal with her in the lounge - the flexibility is great.
The staff are all extremely friendly to residents and visitors alike - and that includes housekeeping, laundry and catering staff too. There is definitely a can do culture.

My mother was 98 and had dementia. She was looked after very well and treated very kindly by the staff. She was allowed to be herself and she was listened to.
She enjoyed the food, the gardens and some of the activities. She had a great sense of humour and often laughed with the staff.

I consider myself lucky to have my Mum staying at the home under such wonderful caring staff. All patients here have extra needs and complexities, but I have been consistently impressed by the genuine caring nature and patience of the staff, I feel a sense of commitment and joy in what they are doing.
The home is well led and genuinely has an ethos of wanting to serve their residents well. I work as a GP locally, and have been to many residential and nursing homes across Kent. I can honestly say this is an excellent place. There is also lots of tech - cameras and sensors in the bed to also monitor your loved one. The entertainment programme is dynamic and varied, the staff (carers and nurses) really know the residents well. The care is the most important thing, but so is the beautiful setting as well. I love the European model of the dementia village where people have their own apartment in a real house, but the security and company of the hub - this place is truly legendary!
