Dover has have been amazing looking after my father.
The facilities are all you could ask for, clean and user friendly.
The staff are very attentive, friendly, helpful and always smiling.
Communication is great, email and phone are always responded to.
Tony the manager has been great in settling
my dad in, supporting his needs and ensuring family are connected.
I couldn't ask for anything more from the home or the staff.

Since my Dad arrived at Dover House his care has been great. Compared to my Dad's previous care home, Dover House is clean and modern. The general layout of the care home is excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the communal areas are maintained to a high standard. Most importantly, the staff are professional,
friendly and always welcoming.

The team at Harmonia are quite simply amazing. My father had very severe dementia but remained physically quite strong and we were unable to find any care homes that could meet his needs and keep him safe despite trying several that apparently specialised in dementia care and challenging behaviour.
Dad eventually ended up in hospital and was discharged to Harmonia in February 2024 - the team there quite simply saved dad and us, his family. Dad was able to move around the home and garden as he pleased but with sympathetic supervision so that he didn't feel restricted. They keep residents entertained with appropriate activities including gardening- we still have a plant that dad grew from seed. He loved the delicious home made food! Harmonia's team gave him the most wonderful, genuinely loving care right through until his final, peaceful days in Jan 2025. We cannot thank them enough for the love and care that they provided dad and support for us as a family through a really awful time.

I cannot recommend Dover House highly enough. From the very first interaction, it was clear that this care home is a place where both residents and families are treated with the utmost care and respect. The staff are not only highly professional but also incredibly warm and compassionate, the environment
is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The dedication and compassion shown by all staff gave us peace of mind knowing our mother was in such good hands. Truly a wonderful place!

I consider myself lucky to have my Mum staying at the home under such wonderful caring staff. All patients here have extra needs and complexities, but I have been consistently impressed by the genuine caring nature and patience of the staff, I feel a sense of commitment and joy in what they are doing.
The home is well led and genuinely has an ethos of wanting to serve their residents well. I work as a GP locally, and have been to many residential and nursing homes across Kent. I can honestly say this is an excellent place. There is also lots of tech - cameras and sensors in the bed to also monitor your loved one. The entertainment programme is dynamic and varied, the staff (carers and nurses) really know the residents well. The care is the most important thing, but so is the beautiful setting as well. I love the European model of the dementia village where people have their own apartment in a real house, but the security and company of the hub - this place is truly legendary!

After my experience with another care home I was sceptical about coming to Dover House but they have proved me wrong. They are considerate, kind and quick to help if they can. Whilst I enjoy the activities provided I would like there to be a wider range. I would like the range of food to be wider, particularly
for the two main options of the day.
Reply from Nomusa Muhlwa, Registered Manager at Dover House

Thank you, Susan, we shall ensure the head chef comes to speak to you about food as we have two options and a comprehensive bar menu should anyone not fancy the main meals. We shall also continue to look into activities as a lot of disruption occurred with lift issues and unexpected situations such as illness can sometimes affect activities. We endeavour to continually improve in this domain.

My wife has been a resident at this home for the past 5 months. She suffered a stroke and has severe mobility and communication problems. She has received not only a high level of care, but the staff have been very patient and built trust and mutual understanding with her, patiently working with her
to understand her immediate needs and wishes. They have also been extremely considerate towards family and friends who are indirectly affected by the position she finds herself in. Even the staff not involved directly with care or medical issues have been fantastic to deal with. Any institution is only as good as the staff and we feel that the staff here have been wonderful. The activities rating is not ticked as she is bedbound and unable to participate in the events that have been laid on for residents.

My mother suffers from late-stage Alzheimer’s and has been a resident at Willow Park Lodge since June 2023. This is the first care home that has properly cared for my mother, who has complex needs. The home is well-managed and provides an excellent level of care. In particular, the medical follow-up
is highly professional and the staff ensure that the NHS doesn’t simply write my mother off, but instead that she receives the medication and help she needs. Above all, I cannot praise highly enough the quality of care given on a personal level. The carers really do care about my mum, and are so kind, patient and compassionate. I live abroad, and so it is a great comfort to me to be able to know that my mother is so well looked after. I can wholeheartedly recommend this care home - it is by some margin the best I have experienced.

I cannot fault the care, attention and support my nan has had so far at Whitstable House, the staff are approachable attentive and friendly. Nan going into a care home wasn't the route we really wanted to take so it's been a hard transition for us all as a family, and yet again the staff at Whitstable
House have been amazing with not only Nan but us as a family too. The facilities are all of a really high standard and to put the cherry on the cake the views are amazing. We looked around many places but Whitstable House is by far the best design we could have made, nan is happy and smiling. Thank you Whistable House. The only reason I haven't given the activities 5 stars is because it's not all up and running yet due to only 1 resident but I'm sure the 5th star will be there soon.
Reply from Debbie Spackman, Liaison Manager at Whitstable House

It's truly heartening to hear about the exceptional care, attention, and support your nan is receiving at Whitstable House. Transitioning to a care home can indeed be challenging for the whole family, but it's reassuring to know that the staff have been approachable, attentive, and friendly, not only to your nan but also to your family. Your feedback on the activities is understandable, and it's encouraging to hear that you believe the fifth star will be warranted once everything is fully up and running. It's evident that your nan's happiness and well-being are of utmost importance, and it's wonderful to hear that she's happy and smiling at Whitstable House. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're grateful for the opportunity to care for your nan. Regards Debbie - Key Worker

I couldn’t speak more highly of the care my father received during his stay at Willow Park Lodge.
The staff are absolutely amazing, so kind and caring and spend time with the residents speaking with them. Feels like a real family environment. From the friendly front-of-house welcome at reception to
the understanding manager, who has been amazing, and their maintenance team leader, who goes above and beyond to make sure that anything that isn’t quite right is amended ASAP.
Seriously, cannot fault anyone.
Thank you all for all your kindness and care during Dad's stay.
My only regret is that we didn’t move him to you sooner.

I cannot praise this place enough. My husband was placed here for respite. A member of staff came to our home after working a shift in her own time to rush through the assessment, she made notes and listened in detail to everything I said concerning my husband's level of needs. This was then relayed
to all members of staff.
I dropped my husband off the next day, and was greeted by this particular member of staff and her team with a very warm welcome and straight away I thought this placement could actually work!
Prior to this, my husband has been to two other homes for respite and both of them struggled to meet his needs mainly due to the fact he is very mobile, but this was not an issue here, the care and compassion the staff showed him was unbelievable and nothing seemed to be a huge problem and they just dealt with any issues which occurred.
His needs are high level but that was matched with an even higher level of care.
Thank you to all the staff at Harmonia, fantastic work you all do, what a team. Top-level care all around.

A very good care home that offered exceptional care to my stepdad in the last few weeks of his life. The care staff, nurses and management were excellent and very attentive to any needs both in care and in support. The home is equipped for all needs and the facilities are always very clean and tidy.
