My dad has complex needs after a catastrophic stroke in 2022. Dad is probably suffering vascular dementia and isn't always the easiest of patients. Despite the fact he can make life difficult, he is clean and well cared for. His health, considering his complex needs, is also very good because staff at Springfield Manor are always on top of his medical needs. Dad is peg fed, so I can't answer any questions about the food.
My mother went to Springfield for an estimated 6-week stay. her recovery is slower than expected but the staff have done a magnificent job. She has now been there for several months. she has no complaints and I would say she has nothing but praise for all the staff from the manager to the man who brings the laundry back. Well done everyone and thank you.
The home had to bring her onboard, and she had adjusted to staying there. This must have been quite testing for them at times. I can now see that they possessed enough experience to handle this, as she ended up being very comfortable in the ten months she stayed until she passed away in her sleep a few weeks ago.
I would recommend this care home, the primary reason being the staff and the facility layout - it accommodates social events like entertainers coming into the central spaces, and the terrace view across the valley is amazing in the Summer. Best wishes to the staff and to you reviewing this home.
My mother is in Springfield Manor receiving end-of-life care, and I cannot fault the dedication and care of the staff and management there. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make sure Mum is pain-free, comfortable and well-looked-after. The room is always warm and clean. Earlier in her stay, my mum took part in some of the activities there, and it was lovely to spend some time with her seeing her enjoy herself. The home has made her final days as peaceful as they can be.
Should you require any contact with management or any of the other day-to-day care workers, they are always accessible to discuss my sister's well-being.
If you are looking for a residential care home for a loved one, we recommend Springfield Manor, highly.
Having worked in a number of care homes in my younger years, I can safely say that I've never known a home like Springfield - where every member of staff is so gentle, caring and kind. Since the day my father arrived, I honestly thanked God that he was there. Having been placed briefly in a cold and uncaring rehabilitation facility by the NHS, his face shone with happiness when he arrived at Springfield. The manager and her team of nurses and carers were so very kind and welcoming, placing the emphasis on it being Dad's home and making him feel as happy and comfortable as possible. He was beautifully cared for physically, mentally and emotionally. In his final days, we could not have asked for a more gentle and caring team around him and us. Nothing was too much trouble - from supplying us with endless cups of tea and talking us through what was happening to caring for Dad and liaising swiftly and effectively with the hospice and GP - in doing so, they eased both Dad's pain and our sadness.
My husband was placed at Springfield for just over a month. The staff coped well with his very challenging Alzheimer's behaviour and did their best to make him feel welcome and settled. The facility was clean and tidy, and the staff were attentive and helpful. I received a quick response to any queries or questions. I eventually needed to move him closer to home, but if this doesn't work out, I would have no hesitation in asking Springfield Manor to take him back again.
My mother has been with you since 2020. She was moved from another care home, and since being at Springfield Manor, she has flourished. The staff are excellent and are always on hand and are very attentive, especially to my mother's needs. The one thing that I have noticed is that the staff and management are also very attentive to the concerns of family members and are always reassuring when we have any questions. I would highly recommend Springfield Manor.
Highly recommended.
Since she has been in Springfield Manor, I have noticed that she is a lot happier in herself.
The management and staff are excellent. I know that my wife feels lonely at times, but I am sure that lovely carers will look after her.
My wife has been a resident at Springfield Manor since January 2019 they have always taken great care of her. Myself and my family are very pleased with the care that she receives and the staff and manager are very caring.
Given the circumstances, including Covid, we were not able to choose or view a care home before so were understandably anxious about how my mum would settle in. However, I am very satisfied with the care she is receiving at Springfield. All the staff are incredibly hard-working and caring, and I have peace of mind that my mum is safe and well cared for. She now has settled in and got into a routine at the nursing home, so she seems relaxed and settled.
Keep up the good work, and thank you for taking care of my mum.
comfortable and safe. We now have a visiting booth, which is so fantastic as we can now see
our loved ones.
I would like to thank everyone for caring so much.
Would definitely recommend.
Thankfully Springfield is not one of those homes and Mum is well cared for. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and they show compassion and dignity in the care of the residents. The boss is always available to discuss any problems or to tell us of any events they are holding for the residents.
We are always greeted with a coffee and biscuit and it's nice to chat with other residents who we have come to know this past year.
I can only praise Springfield Manor in the care they provide for my mother.
Myself and my family are very pleased with how our mum is being looked after in this home.
My mother has been at Springfield for nearly 2 years now. When she arrived she was very unwell and delirious, with rest and care she is now thriving and is much happier than when she was living on her own. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and clearly show an affection for mum. The rooms are comfortable and you are able to make the room like home with own personal bits of furniture, pictures etc. The home has a wonderful view of the countryside, which is lovely for residents and visitors when the weather is nice. The home has a lovely and enthusiastic lady who organises activities in the mornings for those that are able and want to join in. I was very apprehensive when moving my mum to a care home, but whenever I have wanted anything or pointed out anything, the management are quick to help or rectify. Mum's 90th birthday party is currently being planned, showing their commitment to making a difference to their resident's lives.
My father has been at Springfield for nearly 2 years, it's just like home, very welcoming and friendly. He's thrived since being there.
Thank you for your review.
I cannot say strongly enough about the amazing love and care from management and staff which is making his life so cared for.
Always plenty of smiles greet us every moment of the day and for all of us who visit and stay extended hours. The speciality at this time is more than we could have wished for him or us.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My grandad was a resident at Springfield for a few months during 2015. He was so well cared for and loved, everybody at the home is like one big family. The home is situated in beautiful Surrey countryside, and this is something he really loved. Springfield made our experience of Grandad having to move into a nursing home a very easy and reassuring one. The staff handle everything with care and dignity, and love the residents as their own family. I would strongly recommend Springfield Manor.
