Tilford Care Home near Farnham in Surrey is a real home for life in a beautiful, tranquil spot, providing high-quality, affordable residential, nursing, respite, palliative and dementia care.

Tilford is fully equipped to deal with a range of needs and requirements. The comfortable lounges and dining room mean there is plenty of space for group activities, or somewhere to find a quieter spot.

There's free Wi-Fi throughout the home. There will be an iPad for residents to use and for families to use when they visit.

Tilford has 50 spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms or washbasins in the room. The rooms without en-suites have accessible bathrooms or wet rooms nearby.

There's a secure garden where residents can join in with outdoor activities or simply enjoy being outside. The lovely courtyard is an especially popular place to sit and chat.

The grounds include an aviary, with hand-reared birds (cockatiels and budgies) from eggs.

The activity schedule is varied, from music to book and film clubs, quizzes, arts and crafts and storytelling. The residents get fully involved in suggesting new activities and trips, and the minibus is often used!

Tilford has strong connections with the local Church of England, Catholic and multi-denominational churches, and they visit regularly.

Overall, very happy with my mother's care at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. My mum seems very happy and settled considering all restrictions that the pandemic threw up. The staff have been very attentive and caring and also very informative when Mum was unwell. I am generally so pleased we made the decision
to place Mum at Tilford Care & Nursing Home.

My mother was in this home. The standard of care was less than we expected. She was unhappy with the way she was treated. The family felt her care was less than acceptable and after an unfortunate incident, we moved her as quickly as possible.

Following a hospital stay, my father came to live at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. The induction process involved not only my father but also us, his family, which was very helpful and reassuring at a difficult time. My father enjoys the activities and we have thoroughly enjoyed the special events in
the garden, anything musical. Staff are friendly and engaging.

My partner's mother was placed in Tilford Care and Nursing Home by the hospital. We have visited regularly and have always been welcomed by staff and have been confident that mother is being looked after very well. She always says how pleased she is with all the staff. She is happy with the food she
is served and is always clean and dressed properly. Her bedroom is always clean with the bedding changed daily, as is her clothing Mother is always smiling and I have no complaints at all about the standard of care.

Staff and carers are very attentive. The food and snacks are of high quality, fresh cake all the time! Mum is always clean, tidy and looked after.

My Husband arrived from Hospital on the Isle of Wight. On arrival, he was very confused and upset. He didn't know what was happening or where he was. The care that was provided was second to none, he was supported as too was myself and my daughter through what was a very difficult time. I would like

I visited my mum today and was able to see her in her upstairs room, which was lovely and bright overlooking the courtyard. All her photos are displayed on the windowsills, and her special cushion was on the bed with a colourful patchwork quilt. All the staff are so caring and helpful, and we were given
tea and biscuits and some homemade flapjack. Mum is very happy and extremely well looked after, even if she can be a bit difficult!

My brother has been at Tilford since January 2019. He had previously been placed by social services, at other venues, but the move to Tilford has been the best by far. The staff have always been brilliant, and on many occasions, had to deal with his challenging behaviour. Throughout the pandemic, all
the "stops" were pulled out to maintain contact with him via Zoom and the telephone. Since the easing of restrictions, again, they have managed the process very well.

I would just like to thank the wonderful staff at Tilford. My mother went into their care with various problems, the patience and kindness shown to her were amazing, even when she was difficult, which I know she could be. Unfortunately, she passed away this week quite quickly, but the staff did everything
they could to enable us to see her even in these very difficult times. The kindness they showed me and my father was fantastic. Thank you all so much.

Leaving a loved one at a care home is never easy, but right from the start the amazing team at Tilford went out of their way to ensure Dad settled in. My dad was a resident here until we, unfortunately, lost him on the 25/6/19.
The staff were absolutely fantastic for the 2 years that he spent here.
He was treated with dignity and respect from the moment he arrived.
I could not have asked for a better place for my Dad to spend the last 2 years of

What an absolutely lovely home Tilford is. The staff are second to none that I’ve experienced, so helpful and caring, they treat residents with dignity and respect. My friend is very settled and happy living within the home, he couldn’t be more well looked after.
There is such a nice variety of food
and refreshments on tap. Although there has been building works being carried out, which are on going, all work was pre-warned to the residents and family/friends and will only be of a huge benefit in the future.

On going issues with laundry and loss of clothes. Would like staff to be more interactive with family and discuss care and changes in advance of taking place.
The room can smell strongly of urine at times. Relative appears clean and smartly dressed and my relative is allowed to spend time in bed during
the day.
Would like to be able to use the family lounge when visiting and maybe offered some refreshments. Cannot comment on residents' food and drink as we have not visited during meal times. We have not witnessed any activities going on. Rooms are basic but adequate. There seem to be adequate staff levels.

My father was a resident of the home for the last year and unfortunately lost him today 6/01/19. While he was in the home he was treated with respect and the utmost care right up to his death. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the way they looked after my dad before and right up to his death.
So to the staff of Tilford thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Since moving to Tilford, my dear friend has become very settled, the staff are absolutely amazing with her, very caring and genuinely compassionate with her, she is always well presented in clean clothes and is as happy as she can be, given her illness, from management, nursing through to all the staff,
including kitchen, are outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone sending their relation to Tilford.
