Tilford Care Home near Farnham in Surrey is a real home for life in a beautiful, tranquil spot, providing high-quality, affordable residential, nursing, respite, palliative and dementia care.

Tilford is fully equipped to deal with a range of needs and requirements. The comfortable lounges and dining room mean there is plenty of space for group activities, or somewhere to find a quieter spot.

There's free Wi-Fi throughout the home. There will be an iPad for residents to use and for families to use when they visit.

Tilford has 50 spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms or washbasins in the room. The rooms without en-suites have accessible bathrooms or wet rooms nearby.

There's a secure garden where residents can join in with outdoor activities or simply enjoy being outside. The lovely courtyard is an especially popular place to sit and chat.

The grounds include an aviary, with hand-reared birds (cockatiels and budgies) from eggs.

The activity schedule is varied, from music to book and film clubs, quizzes, arts and crafts and storytelling. The residents get fully involved in suggesting new activities and trips, and the minibus is often used!

Tilford has strong connections with the local Church of England, Catholic and multi-denominational churches, and they visit regularly.

My husband had Alzheimer's Disease. He had been in two previous homes but moved to Tilford in May because he needed further nursing care. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff all work well together as a team. Sadly my husband died at the end of September but he could not have received better
care especially during his last week. Tilford is truly 'home' to its residents who are treated with understanding and dignity.

Staff and cares give outstanding individual care to every resident. They know and understand the individual needs of the residents and cater to a very high standard. They talk to everyone and give time to these elderly people. The staff are happy and work very hard. Everyone is treated with dignity
and respect and care is given to cultural and religious beliefs.

Generally the home is run well. Staff are attentive (depending on staff levels). Care plans could be kept updated better - on most visits Mum has never been left with the call bell and I feel she should be monitored more frequently regarding change of incontinence pad. Frequently when visiting Mum she
is very wet - feel they could offer more showers or baths when appropriate. Staff are very friendly but feel they could give Mum more dignity - quite often visit and Mum has nothing covering her (as she is in bed) and nothing covering bottom half - food is excellent and plenty to eat. Mainly the care is good, most staff are really friendly and helpful (just feel have to give some reminders now and again).

Mother has been resident in TPNH for over 3 1/2 years. Her mobility as to be expected has declined (she turns 98 this month) but mentally she has improved due to kindness, activities and good food. Last year she wasn't expected to suffice pneumonia but the staff nursed and fed her devotedly sitting
her up in one of the lounges as soon as possible. She recovered well. We recommended the home to a neighbour whose wife as at the end of her life, during the 2 months she was there they (the family) too were impressed by the standard of care.

I moved my father in law from another provider to Tilford Park nursing home. Since moving my father in law here he now comes out of his room, he enjoys social activities. He enjoys the food. Their is a wide choice of food available. My father in law gets on well with the staff. All our family find the
staff very accommodating and helpful. The lady on the front desk is always helpful and has a warm welcoming. We find the manager helpful. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a dementia home.

Would recommend Nursing Home as it is more like a family home than a Nursing Home. Dad is happy and is looked after well. He is clean and tidy and eats well and likes the staff who treat him with respect.

My mother was a resident for approximately one year and I was extremely satisfied with the level of care she received. She was a dementia sufferer and I was always so happy with fact that she was treated at all times with dignity and respect. I found the staff to be very caring towards all the residents
and they embraced all of their individual characters and idiosyncrasies. The home itself is immaculate and the residents rooms kept very tidy. The Manager is fantastic, very front of house and totally accessible to staff and visitors alike, it is obvious that the residents are her priority (I have had experience of other care homes where this is not the case), it is very professionally run. The best recommendation that I can give is that whenever I left at the end of visiting I never had any doubts whatsoever that my mother was being well cared for.
