White Gates Nursing Home, near Staines, is registered to offer professional care for up to 51 individuals, thanks to a comfortable environment ideal for care and a relaxing lifestyle. It was originally purpose-built and acquired by CHD Living in 2008.

All of the home's comfortable rooms are en-suite, with carers looking to respect privacy and personal freedom. There are also numerous social events and activities to experience, as well as a range of relaxation spaces - including a choice of cosy lounges and a conservatory.

White Gates staff are encouraged to develop a strong team spirit and look to ensure that measures are in place for emergencies and other healthcare issues. A primary focus is given to specialist long-term nursing care, with secondary focus on respite, dementia and end-of-life & palliative care.

Situated less than a five-minute walk from the River Thames, White Gates is set on a quiet, residential street, and is within walking distance to Laleham High Street.

Residents will find the Condor Cottage adjacent to White Gates, which comprises eight large rooms with full wet rooms for independent living. They can also enjoy the use of a large, safe and accessible garden.

Residents will also have access to a computer, allowing them to easily and efficiently connect with loved ones. Freshly prepared, nutrient-dense meals are provided on a daily basis, too, and are designed to suit the special dietary requirements and preferences of those living at the home.

The family of carers at White Gates are proud to have achieved a "Gold Standard Framework" for end-of-life care, and always strive to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a friendly environment.

White Gates Laleham has been a fantastic care home for my mum to spend the last few months of her life. The team were extremely professional firstly, and secondly, friendly to the point of providing a home from home for Mum and all visitors. They not only took care of the residents to an exemplary standard,
but the family and friends became part of the big family of White Gates.
The human side of this care home I could only rate at 100%. We still pop in from time to time as the staff there became our friends over just a few short months.
From the care point of view, I spent many hours there every week and never found them to be wanting. My mum got to love the staff, even under difficult personal circumstances for her and she said 'Thank You' about 100 times a day as the staff were on top of every situation.
I can't say any higher praise for the team, which are well managed and from the top right the way through to the resident.
In a very difficult industry, this team has got it right.

I am a friend of a resident who has recently died. She lived at White Gates for several years and during all that time, I visited her on a regular basis. On each occasion, her room was spotlessly clean and so was she. She was very comfortable and contented.
During the last stage of her life when she
was confined to her bed and unable to move herself, she always looked so comfortable and cared for and was at peace.

My mother arrived at White Gates Nursing Home after 10 weeks in a hospital and the staff improved her condition both mentally and physically. All the time she was there she was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Staff were always willing to discuss her needs with me. My mother died
aged 101 years old and her end of life care couldn't be faulted.

Overall we are very happy with the care given. Almost all of our interaction has been with the day staff and nurses and I rate the majority very highly. Entertainment is varied and frequent and very good. Majority of staff are friendly and helpful and genuinely care about the residents. Food is of a

My sister has received excellent care for the past 6 months at White Gates. The management, nursing and care staff have been so kind, attentive to her every need whilst also supporting myself and family through some difficult times when my sister has been very poorly. The facilities for residents at
White Gates is amazing ranging from hairdressing to Thai Chi and entertainment that is enjoyed immensely by not only residents but also visitors. My sister received a new lease of life and I cannot thank everyone enough for this because it also gave me peace of mind.

My father has only been at White Gates for one week. At this time I have found the staff lovely and very approachable.
They treat my dad with dignity and compassion.
Dad is eating and socialising more here than in hospital. The rooms are cosy and any interventions with Dad are on their way to being
put in place.

My grandfather found himself in the upsetting position of needing respite care following a period of ill health. He was extremely fearful of coming to stay in a nursing home. The staff were very supportive towards him and to me as he settled in. When I collected him two weeks later he had made some
great friends and felt sorry to leave. He can't speak more highly of the love and care he received from the staff. He said that there were always things to do and everyone is encouraged to join in with the activities. Thank you to all the staff for transforming a distressing time into a time of joy.

My mother moved in at the end of October. The staff were very welcoming and made the transition a much more pleasant experience than we expected.
Mum is well looked after, comfortable and safe which was important to us. We are very happy with our choice. Love, also we can visit any time of the day
or night.

Staff are always pleasant and friendly. They communicate well about important aspects of care. I would say, however, that sometimes there are communication problems eg when dad runs out of toiletries.


I feel that the care here is better than at the previous home and while dad was still able to express

himself, he also said that he preferred White Gates.

I would recommend White Gates care home for its caring, compassion, and nursing skills. My father was only in White Gates for one week and the lovely carers and helpers were very supportive and treated my father with dignity and respect and also made sure that as a family they supported us as well.
They kept us informed all the way through this very sad process as my father was refusing food and hydration and he eventually passed away. They all hugged and cuddled us as we cleared my father's room genuinely upset at his passing. Thank you, White Gates, for all your support.
