My mother was a resident here for the latter days of her life. The care she received was amazing. Every member of staff showed wonderful dedication to her care. We were worried when we realised she needed to have professional care in a nursing home environment. We realised our worries were unfounded.
The care is wonderful and her last days were very special. A few days before her death there was a picnic on the deck for the residents. That day was so special and I will always remember is. This is a great place with great staff.

My mum is currently residing in Bay House and the level of care is superb. The staff are so patient and caring which puts my mind at rest. The Home Manager goes above and beyond in her role and is always on hand if needed. I wish mum had gone into Bay House 2 years ago when she was first admitted in
to care.
I would thoroughly recommend Bay House.

I am so very pleased we found Bay House. Mum has been in care since June 2020 and I just wish Mum had been here from the beginning of her journey with Alzheimer's. Watching her deteriorate and having the most caring staff around her at Bay House is such a reassuring comfort to us as a family. The manager
is always available and I mean always. Even when she was on annual leave she would message to check on Mum. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the kindness from yourself and all the staff is so apparent. I count myself lucky that we found Bay House and I thank you all for everything you do.

My mother was a resident from April 2022 till she passed in June 2022. She suffered from a number of issues ranging from acute Dementia to needing oxygen 24/7. I cannot praise this nursing home enough. The care they provided was outstanding in all respects. I believe what makes Bay House stand out is
its people. All of the staff, especially the manager, are truly excellent in all respects. They treated my mother with care, compassion, and most importantly, dignity and respect. Sure, there are more modern homes in the area, but Bay House is truly a 'home from home'. The food is also first-class, as are the resident activities, the nursing care, and the 'general feel' of the place. Communication between the home and myself with regards to Mum's health issues was excellent, as was the way she was treated in her final days. Totally recommend.

Thank you for the care you gave my next-door neighbour. She had said to me that you were all marvellous in the way you treated her. Every time I visited her, you also made sure that I was welcome, and quite often, I was offered a drink together with a slice of cake or biscuits. All of you were so caring
towards her and made her comfortable throughout her time with you. Nothing is too much trouble for you all. In the future, if anyone asks me if I know of a care home in Bexhill, I will certainly recommend yourselves. Thank you again for your care and compassion. I will certainly miss my visits to Bay House.

Bay House was home to my mother for 6-years. During that time, she was extremely well looked after and treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff got to know her as a person and would play her favourite music; ensure she regularly had her hair and nails done, and always offered her a second
pudding to indulge her sweet tooth. The manager is exemplary in her role and cared for us, as a family, as well as my mother during the years as her condition worsened. Bay House is a beautiful home, always clean and bright, and rooms/decor are regularly updated and maintained. It is small enough for the staff to get to know residents personally and have time for them. Looking back, I am able to say that Bay House was the perfect location for my mother - she had a beautiful room (which other residents never entered), she was kept safe, received excellent medical care and was very happy and content with her Bay House 'family'.

The carehome is extremely well run. The manager and all the staff are exceptional. They are both caring and well organised. The home itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. I cannot find fault in any way.

Bay House provide excellent care for my mother. She has dementia and can be awkward and demanding. The staff are very good at spotting mood swings. They immediately search for the reason and more often than not, the cause is quickly identified and remedied. My mother also likes fresh air and exercise,
which the staff try to satisfy at every opportunity. Finally, I wish to thank the staff for keeping my mother safe in the recent pandemic.

It was the most difficult decision I had ever had to make when we decided that due to increasing frailty and ill health that Mum would need 24-hour care within the environment of a nursing home. It was March 2019 when acting on a recommendation we arranged for Mum to go to Bay House, initially just
for four weeks respite to see how she would adapt. Well, all I can say is that Mum made the decision for us within two weeks of being a resident, I hadn't seen her so relaxed and confident in years.
Mum chose to remain in what became her home, where she made friends, where she was valued and more importantly where she was confident, relaxed and happy.
Mum would often tell me how she enjoyed interacting with the staff and how she loved to have conversations on numerous subjects, she was always at pains to tell me how much she was looked after and made to feel like one of the family.
We lost Mum in December 2020 when she passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by love and care, thank you

Our mother had been a resident for nearly 2 years. We cannot speak highly enough of the level of care that Mum received. Bay House always seemed to have a cheerful pleasant buzz about the place. The staff were friendly, cheerful and very caring. They never seemed rushed or too busy to give residents
kind attention. As visitors, we always received a warm welcome and even though the pandemic there was always time for a chat on the phone.
It's a family run business and the family members always got fully involved with special events like the summer barbecue and Christmas parties.
Towards the end of Mum's life we were always kept informed of all developments with sympathetic updates and I'm confident Mum was kept comfortable.
Bay House re-defined for me what a care-home is.

My aunt was only resident for two and a half weeks, but in that time she was really well looked after and looked so much better. Her room was made to feel as much like her own home as possible. As her next of kin I cannot speak highly enough about the care we both received, with frequent updates by
phone as to how she was doing. I was able to speak with my aunt several times a day and also visit her in a lovely summer house outside. With regard to the Covid restrictions, they were really careful and organised, and before my aunt was a resident, I was able to visit the room so that I knew what it was like and I felt so much happier leaving her there. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone thinking of finding a home for a relative. Everyone was so kind and considerate and very professional and although they were busy, I always felt they had time for me and to answer all my concerns. I was warmly welcomed by the manager and she always made herself available to me.

My mother has been at Bay House for just over a month and has an array of health problems. I have telephoned Bay House numerous times and I am always greeted with such a warm and friendly welcome. The staff are always aware of my mother's condition and are able to update me every time I call. They have
been so helpful and flexible with organising FaceTime calls between my mother and me. This gives me a chance to see my mother even if a conversation isn't possible. Last week, a member of staff sat with my mother for over an hour while we tried to have a conversation. I was even able to remain on FaceTime while another member of staff helped feed my mother at mealtime and I was not under any pressure to end the call. I cannot praise the staff enough for the consistent and sincere support that they give to my mother and the kindness that they always show me.

It was a very difficult decision to move my Mother from her previous residential home. I am so glad we did. In light of Covid 19 and all that has occurred in the last months, I am so relieved. The sister manager was warning about the pandemic in February. I am so impressed that, in spite of the general
disbelief, she continued to prepare her staff, residents and residents' families. All the staff have been terrific. I have always been in awe of people who are in the caring sector. I had looked after my mother, with my sisters, for eight years when she was diagnosed with Altzheimers. I realised then, that I could never have done the work as a job. I could not recommend Bay House enough. It has been so comforting to know my Mother is being so well cared for with such kindness and thought, whilst unable to visit these last few months. Thank you Bay House and ALL the staff who work there. Thank you especially to the home manager for her strength and wisdom.

I am writing to tell you of an extraordinary act of kindness and care that was carried out but the manager of Bay House nursing home on Sunday 14.04.2020. The day before, I had spoken to this charming Chinese lady and explained how unhappy my partner was in the nursing home she was in. She was so understanding
and arranged to meet my partner and me on 12.04.2020 and to push my partner in her wheelchair, about a 15-minute walk down to Bay House. Rather than risk my partner catching coronavirus in a tax, I found out later this was done on the managers day off. I think that is an outstanding duty of kindness and care second to none. The manager's actions gave me confidence that the care at Bay House would be very good. I am pleased to say thank my partner is very happy now.

The atmosphere is always friendly. The staff are helpful and caring. Because my wife has severe dementia and is bed bound, she does not benefit from any activities and only has pureed meals. She benefits for the questions and is thankfully relaxed and at peace.

We especially wish to thank the manager and her amazing staff at Bay House, for their care, understanding, friendship and hospitality to both my father, his relatives and friends during his stay with them.
The food is excellent and you are welcome at any time, a sign of a very good well run establishment.
A special thanks to the staff who treated my father with the utmost dignity and made him as comfortable as possible during his last few hours.
I would certainly highly recommend Bay House to anyone without any hesitation.
