I have been highly delighted with the care and attention given to my Mum and Dad since joining Bay House. There really is a family atmosphere and the residents are all treated with the utmost respect. I have visited different days and at different times and it is always welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I can highly recommend Bay House and am thinking of putting my name down on the waiting list! The care home manager is great.

I am writing to tell you of an extraordinary act of kindness and care that was carried out but the manager of Bay House nursing home on Sunday 14.04.2020. The day before, I had spoken to this charming Chinese lady and explained how unhappy my partner was in the nursing home she was in. She was so understanding and arranged to meet my partner and me on 12.04.2020 and to push my partner in her wheelchair, about a 15-minute walk down to Bay House. Rather than risk my partner catching coronavirus in a tax, I found out later this was done on the managers day off. I think that is an outstanding duty of kindness and care second to none. The manager's actions gave me confidence that the care at Bay House would be very good. I am pleased to say thank my partner is very happy now.

The atmosphere is always friendly. The staff are helpful and caring. Because my wife has severe dementia and is bed bound, she does not benefit from any activities and only has pureed meals. She benefits for the questions and is thankfully relaxed and at peace.

We especially wish to thank the manager and her amazing staff at Bay House, for their care, understanding, friendship and hospitality to both my father, his relatives and friends during his stay with them.
The food is excellent and you are welcome at any time, a sign of a very good well run establishment.
A special thanks to the staff who treated my father with the utmost dignity and made him as comfortable as possible during his last few hours.
I would certainly highly recommend Bay House to anyone without any hesitation.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Bay House has been the only home that I personally have had any dealing with. The nursing staff and carers work tirelessly for the residents. In the five years my mother lived there nothing but respect, love and excellent care was given to her, and also to myself and family. A credit to the care industry.

My mother was a resident at Bay House nursing home for a year. In that time this family orientated compassionate, professional, cohesive team of care staff provided her with an exemplary standard of nursing care, treated her with the utmost dignity and respect with a holistic approach to her care and needs. The 'family' at Bay House became a 'family' to me and my sister ins supporting Mum. The thing we valued the most was the tender humanity in genuine caregiving. Thank you all so much.

Our Stepfather spent just over a year in Bay House. At all times he was treated with a lovely blend of dignity respect and kindness all with a dash of humour which is how he liked it. He was settled and happy and keen to join in any activity going and we were able to relax knowing he was being very well cared for.
After a massive stroke and a spell in hospital, my stepfather returned to see out his last few days at Bay House where he was shown such tender loving care. We were supported too during what was a very traumatic time.

I can highly recommend Bay House Care.

Bay House staff were very caring, not only to the resident but also to the visitors. They were willing to provide drinks upon arrival and during long visits, they made sure that a meal was available. Nursing for my husband was very good and they made sure that they used the resident's name, asking for permission to do a certain thing. I did not like the fact that everything took place in the main lounge. There was no quiet area or privacy other than in the rooms.

My mum received a very high standard of care in the two years that she was at Bay House. All her needs were met and the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was well cared for. She was always treated with dignity and respect and communication with her family was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Have used Bay House Care Ltd previously and my mother was happy to return. Residents, no matter what their problems, will and are treated with the same care and dignity. Staff are all very caring, kind, always have time to chat and put new residents at ease. Management are very easy to talk to. Different themes and activities throughout the year and relatives are always welcome. Food is all home cooked and they have fresh vegetables. Every diet is catered for and even the fussiest are catered for.

My father deteriorated in health and was no longer able to remain in the care home he had been in for 3 years. There was an element of urgency that he was moved to a nursing home and it was New Year’s Eve. I was recommended Bay House and having visited at short notice was offered a room subject to appraisal. The administrative manager visited his care home immediately, assessed his suitability and once accepted agreed to allow him access immediately. The staff treated him with dignity, sensitivity and great care through the whole procedure and although he felt vulnerable and unsettled they welcomed him with open arms. The first room allocated proved unsuitable after 3 days so they went out of their way to find a room that he settled in more quickly. The food was always varied and the staff ensured his medical needs were met. I would be happy to recommend Bay House to anyone who enquired and would like to thank them for their efforts.

Overall Experience
Mum had a led an independent life of more than 97 years, so it was with great reluctance that she, my brother and I concluded that she could no longer cope or be cared for safely in her own home.
We, therefore, visited Bay House with some trepidation – but quickly came to the conclusion that it would be an exceptional place in which to spend her final her days. It transpired that she quickly became weaker but at every stage, the very professional staff accommodated her and adjusted her routine in whatever way was necessary.

She was treated throughout with respect and dignity; her care was thoughtful and appropriate; she was treated with warmth and good humour; she was made to feel as though she had joined a new family, and we, as her real family, were also treated with respect, made to feel welcome at any time and kept well informed. Her stay was a relatively short one but enabled her to be comfortable, safe and peaceful in her last days.

Mum was looked after very well and settled nicely during her respite stay at Bay House care home. My mum has dementia and the staff were very caring, patient, friendly and professional. I felt content that her needs were met. The food was home cooked and the menu varied. Mum was only moved closet to her home roots to enable me to visit more regularly as this was not possible with a distance of 300 miles between us.

I moved my mum from a home in Warwickshire where she was depressed into Bay House. I can't praise this home enough it's wonderful and mum is so much happier and eating again. The staff are lovely, caring people and go that extra mile, nothing is a problem. It's a fantastic home full of love and stimulation. I have such peace of mind knowing that my mum is in such good care. Thank you, Bay House.

This care home is excellent. All the staff are very caring and give lots of attention to the residents both for their physical and mental needs. The rooms are pleasant and clean. The food is very good and help is given to the residents to make sure they are well fed. Also, its a very happy place with lots of entertainment and social events to keep the residents interested in life. Excellent.

Bay House turned an unpleasant experience in my Dad's life to a true home for him. The staff all treat him with such respect and dignity but look after his complex needs. He went from withdrawn and scared in hospital to smiles and sitting up playing cards. Warm and comfortable home away from home with the attentive and well-trained staff, that are continually trained with best in practical advice from experts. A management team that wants to listen to the residents family that really care and not just play lip service!

From stepping in the door, the well-maintained home is clean and fresh smelling, flooding with light. Food is always fantastic and plenty of special family and residents events throughout the year. A hairdressing room within the home and an activities coordinator providing both one on one and group activities 5 days a week. A large dining room and warm and sunny sitting area and in summer a well-maintained garden area all combine to make a tiny part of this home.

My mother has been in Bay House almost two years. When she was first here it took time for her to settle. In this last year, my mum has been more coherent and has progressed well. Mum has received good care whilst here and staff have also given me support as and when. I thank all the staff for their patience and care.
