Bay House Care

Bay House is a shining example of what a home should be like. The care provided is exemplary and, importantly, is focused on the personal and often unique needs of each resident. Daily routines, communication and stimulating activities are woven to good effect around this main function. Meals come with plenty of choice (and a smile). Visitors are made welcome at all times. Special visitors are the delightful small children of staff, who come in mainly during the school/playgroup holiday period to 'help' or simply to play. Their presence brings a smile to many residen'ts face and is obviously a help for their parents on the staff. The multi-cultural team of staff is in fact another impressive feature of the home. As individuals, and over an above their unfailing helpfulness, they bring to the table personal and positive attitudes which contribute significantly to the general atmosphere of the home. No one can be in any doubt that they thoroughly enjoy their work, want to please and appreciate and value their life and work at Bay House. The recruitment and development of such a team does not come about by accident - it is the result of good management, strong leadership and wise policies. Bay House management has these attributes in spades.

Bay house exudes warmth and love, embracing all who enter. The buzz of a lively environment hit me as soon as the door was opened by a smiling face on my first visit 18 months ago. Mum has been treated with love, care and respect by everyone, whatever their role- maintenance, catering, admin, carers, housekeeping- all take the time to get to know her and her world, she enjoys her interactions with them all. Any health issues are dealt with promptly. Care and attention goes into Mum's daily life, from selecting clothes to wear, food to choose and where to spend the day, be it in her room or in the lounge. The staff do all they can to encourage socialising and participation in activities. The smiles are everywhere, Bay House feels like a home from home. Mum misses her old home of so many years but she is enjoying the company of her new family, a real bonus at her age. She has been given a new lease of life.

Can not find one fault with Bay House

My mum has now been at Bay House for 18 months and us as a family cannot believe the love and care given by the staff and the food is delicious.

My sister was very frail when she became a resident at Bay House in June 2023 until her death in February 2026. She was approximately six stone four pounds when she became a resident and within six months she was a different person, happy contented and, more importantly, had gained a good weight. She enjoyed outings to the beach, shopping nad restaurants with most of the other residents. She loved paintings and morning gentle exercises and activities. The staff are all caring, kind and approachable. I could alway feel happy when I could not visit knowing that she had the most wonderful care

The care at Bay House is excellent. Although my mum is mainly bed bound, the staff are constantly in and out of her room making sure she is comfortable and well cared for. When visiting which I can do at anytime, I am made to feel welcome. There is always something going on in the residents lounge and the atmosphere is always good. The whole team are amazing & my mum is happy & safe & very well looked after

I knew this nursing home was the right place for my dear husband the moment we stepped inside. The management and staff were so kind and welcoming, it felt like home. I could visit any time. I often had lunch with my husband. He couldn't have been in a better place.

Bay House is a wonderful care facility who go above and beyond for the resident and families. My mother-in-law spent what would be her last 4 months of her life and could not have received better care. The home is run efficiently by the manager who welcomes everyone into their family. I would highly recommend to anyone considering care for their loved ones

My wife spent over seven months at Bay House after enduring difficult circumstances in the hospital, including severe grade 4 pressure sores. However, the care she received at Bay House was incredible, and the sores healed remarkably fast after her admission. The staff there were nothing short of amazing, and the service was exceptional. Despite their tireless efforts, my wife passed away. I am beyond grateful for the outstanding care and support we received during her six months at Bay House, and even after her passing. Words can't fully express my appreciation. Especially the manager's support!!!

I can't begin to explain how happy I feel that my father had his last two months with these wonderful people. They kept him happy and safe, and welcomed us into their family. I have the utmost respect for all of them, and as was pointed out, we became family. The two beautiful ladies actually took time to come to his funeral, but that's not to say that the manager and all the other staff didn't think about him, we are ever grateful that dad passed in such a loving environment.

Lovely warm place, brilliant staff and kind people. Amazing support from each staff member, very well looked after place and look after people very well. 10/10

I am so glad we chose Bay House, having visited many other nursing home, they are just superb at what they do!

The care that my mother received was absolutely outstanding. The staff were so kind and caring, her overall health improved so much and in the months that she was there. We could not fault the care she had.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Bay House Care. The quality of care which they offer is excellent, full of love and kindness. Our sister moved there a little more than a year ago, in a confused and unhappy state. The consistently thoughtful care gave her time to get well and with the right medication to begin to make a good recovery, giving us back our lively-minded sister. In her last days, every effort was made to keep her calm and comfortable and give her all she needed to skip quietly away. The family were also cared for and kept fully aware of what was being done and why. Bay House is an outstanding nursing and care home.

Throughout her care, the Bay House team were exceptional and made us truly feel that Mum and us were part of the family. It was lovely to hear Mum say "you don't have to worry, they look after me very well", in everything they did they went over and above. Sadly, Mum is no longer with us but we feel we have made so many new friends both with all the staff, other residents and their families.

I cannot recommend Bay House Care highly enough. Our father has lived here for two and a half years and it really feels like a family home. The staff are amazing, so caring and thoughtful and I can't imagine anywhere that he would have been looked after better. We feel so lucky to have found a home for him here.

My stepmother was 97 with cancer, COPD, spine fracture, etc. and so was moved from hospital to Bay House. What a fantastic decision to have chosen this nursing home. The care is second to none. My stepmum enjoyed her last two weeks of life so much that it was as if she was on a holiday. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

Bay House Care is such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.

The manager put my mind at ease about my husband coming into a care home. I looked at other homes before making my choice but I knew Bay House Care was the right place for us. The care is excellent, anything needed the carers are there for him. The staff and management have made me feel part of their family. I have lunch with my husband and we go out to the seafront and join in with the activities and entertainment. The management team is always there for me.
