I and the family are very pleased with the care given to my sister at Bryher Court Nursing Home. The staff are endlessly patient with her and she seems to be very happy there, having been a resident for three and a half years. She couldn't be better looked after and we are so grateful for the kind treatment that my sister receives at Bryher Court. (She is unfortunately unable to partake in any activities hence the 'don't know' rating).
I decided to move her nearer to family where she had a ground-floor room with a view. She is still immobile but can now be put into a wheelchair and recliner! Her general interest has now returned.
Thanks to staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home.
Treated my dad with respect and kindness for his end-of-life care. My dad was kept clean, and the room was always spotless. I got a great feeling from all of the staff that I met whilst he was being cared for, and can't thank them enough for their kindness in his last few weeks of life. Would recommend this care home without hesitation.
Mum is a stroke victim, paralyzed down one side. The care at Bryher Court is excellent and appropriate. The staff are extremely caring, thoughtful, and compassionate. Mum is often moved to tears of gratefulness for their care when discussing how she is looked after. Facilities and property are old and constructed accordingly, but are always clean, hygienic, and appear well maintained. Food is exemplary and we often eat lunch with Mum in a family and homely atmosphere, and always made to feel very welcome during our visits. The atmosphere is such that we now consider many of the staff and residents our friends.
It is lovely that you are happy to visit and appreciate the staff so much. It is good to know that your Mum is so pleased with her care. Thanks for taking the time to express your thoughts about the home.
My mum has been at Bryher Court for four months now and is very happy and settled in her new surroundings. My mum came here from hospital with a grade three pressure sore which has now virtually healed. That's due to the dedication of the staff. They are excellent, very approachable, kind and caring. I can't praise the whole team enough. Thank you all.
My brother (who is dyslexic) tells me that all the staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home are wonderful - very kind and attentive. Even as a shy, insular person he was made to feel at ease. He was pleased to be able to stay in his room as he is not used to socialising. He appreciated the food choices and having freshly cooked food, a treat after his frozen convenience meals at home.
My brother has been a resident at Bryher Court for five months now, and he's settled very well into his new surroundings. All of the staff are fantastic, very people-focused and approachable, and seem genuinely happy in their roles. The environment is a friendly one, a cheerful one, and the interactions between staff and residents are plentiful and caring. My brother has improved both physically and mentally during his time at Bryher Court, and he enjoys his daily chats and interactions with the staff. As visitors, we're always welcomed and made to feel at home; we've been really pleased with our experience so far.
My aunt stayed here for six weeks between hospital and a permanent residential care home. She was looked after very well by the friendly caring staff. As she was not so well she wasn’t able to take part in many activities although was taken out for a pub lunch which she really enjoyed. I would recommend this for nursing care.
Nothing was too much trouble, and I was informed of any changes and concerns about my father. I would highly recommend it.
I am hugely grateful to everybody working in Bryher Court Nursing Home and I will never forget all the very kind people I have met there.
I will remember everybody there as if they are my friends. Thank you so much to all involved in my mother's care.
Thank you taking the trouble to review our home.
My mother has been in Bryher Court Nursing Home for seven years, she passed away on the 21st of July 2023 and all I can say is that the staff had been very kind and helpful, I would recommend your home.
My mum has been very happy at Bryher Court Nursing Home. The staff have been wonderful in all aspects. Very caring and professional. The food has been excellent with a good choice. The home is kept very clean and I would highly recommend this nursing home.
The carers do a great job but you recognised the domestic and catering staff deserve mention for their good work as well. I will let the staff know of your kind words via our internal messaging service. Thank you for taking the time to review Bryher Court.
All staff at Bryer Court are very dedicated to making the lives of residents as comfortable as possible. All support, ranging from admin through to nurses in charge are excellent. When visiting, we are always welcomed and made to feel as if we're 'home from home'. Mum is always clean, tidy and well cared for. The dedication of the staff is amazing.
Although the home looks dated and a little tatty in places, the care as patients appears very good. Staff are kind, attentive and always willing to engage with visitors. Patients are clean, tidy and treated with warmth and respect. The food is excellent. The nurses are always ready to answer questions and take care to support relatives in difficult times.
Although my husband was only at Bryher Court Nursing Home for one week before he passed away, he could not have been cared for better. All the staff involved in his care were gentle, caring, compassionate and understanding. Our family will be forever grateful. Thank you.
It is kind of you take the trouble to review us at such a difficult time.
We all appreciate your kind words.
Bryher Court is a very welcoming care home. The staff care a great deal and many are longstanding. The rooms are spacious, light and airy. The communal lounge and large conservatory are used for activities. The garden has been a great pleasure for my mum and a place to meet other residents and enjoy joining in. Definitely recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to review our nursing home. We try to make Bryher Court a friendly, welcoming place - a "home from home" where visitors are always welcome. Your kind words are encouraging for our staff and will be seen by others who could benefit from our service.
The staff was very helpful and kept me informed of everything that was going on. Didn't matter when I turn up, my dad was always clean and tidy. The food looked lovely and Dad enjoyed his meals.
My mother was very happy even though her stay was short.
Thank you Bryher Court Nursing Home for making my mum's last days happy and comfortable.
Although Mum was only with them for six weeks (end-of-life care), the staff were wonderful. Allowing us to make her room like home, always available to speak to members of the family and made us very welcome. I felt they did a fabulous job to make Mum's last weeks as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Our best wishes to you and the family.
The Bryher Court Nursing Home is very well thought of by the local hospital and the staff do a fantastic job, from the cleaners to everybody who is involved in the management of the nursing home. I would not hesitate in giving my support to a fantastic home with a fantastic staff who makes every effort to make a patient's stay, a happy one.
We are pleased that this gentleman has enjoyed his time with us as a temporary resident. He came to us from hospital following an accident and had never needed assistance from a care home before. He has been pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the activities, the food, our large lounge, which is all very gratifying for us.
