Both parents have been residents of the wonderful Carlisle Lodge Nursing Home, my mother recently for 8 weeks end of life care and she was extremely well cared for in every respect. It was her wish to spend her last few weeks in the nursing home with my father (they had been married for 71 years) and
staff made sure they were able to meet regularly. The dedicated and excellent nursing team kept her comfortable and reassured during her last weeks which was a comfort to me.
My father has been a resident for the last 8 months and, although it took him a while to settle particularly as he was newly blind, I know he is receiving the very best care in a homely, friendly environment.
I cannot praise Matron, deputy matron all the nursing/domestic/housekeeping staff enough for their dedication to the health and wellbeing of all residents.
As a family member of a resident, I feel absolute trust in the commitment of every member of staff to take great care of my father.

My father in law has been a resident in Carlisle Lodge for eight months and during that time has received excellent care provided by selfless, dedicated staff who have always gone the extra mile to ensure my father in law's welfare and comfort.
My mother in law was also resident until her passing
and during her time the care received was also excellent and the end of life care particularly tender and Mum's comfort and support was exceptional given Mum's condition.

I believe this care home has enhanced my dad's life and also extended it.
The staff are friendly, professional and dedicated. The family feel very relaxed knowing that Dad is so well looked after.
We are extremely grateful to have this sort of peace of mind.
I would not hesitate to recommend Carlisle
Lodge and cannot rate Carlisle Lodge highly enough.

Mum moved to Carlisle Lodge in April 2014 and her quality of life improved immediately. She is looked after by cheerful and caring staff who obviously enjoy their work, many of whom have worked within the team for a number of years.

Relatives are treated with equal care and consideration and are

included in all decisions. The Matron’s door is always open for a chat.

I cannot recommend Carlisle Lodge highly enough and feel so lucky to have such excellent care for Mum in what she now considers her home.

Many thanks to you all.

Both my parents have been residents of Carlisle Lodge, my mother for over 6 years and my father for nearly 2 years. During that time they were both cared for extremely well and we never had any reason to doubt that they were happy and settled. Before my father became a resident of Carlisle Lodge,
the support they gave him when visiting my mother went above and beyond what we could have expected. While they were both residing there they both had different needs, both medical and social and all the staff catered for these individual needs with professionalism and kindness. Without a doubt, the high standard of compassion and care stems from the management of Carlisle Lodge and the staff they employ and we cannot give enough praise and thanks to every member of staff.

I cannot recommend Carlisle Lodge highly enough. Both my mother and father-in-law were resident there for several years and I cannot fault the care. From the moment they arrived when their wishes and preferences were accommodated, as they became frailer and needed more nursing care, to their final hours
when they were treated with respect and dignity and at no time left alone.
The staff also cared for the wider family, keeping us informed and being aware of our needs as well.
The matron has built up a team of dedicated staff, with very low rates of staff turnover and every member of the staff is equally committed to the ethos of being a caring friendly environment.
Thank you.
