From the moment my relative arrived here, I knew he felt at home. I also felt like it was like a big family; very genuine and always friendly. My expectations were a clinical place with not much happening. The truth was a happy home for my relative and a nice place to visit.

My brother has been a resident of Seaview since April 2023. I have found the staff easy to get along with and I can't fault the care they continuously give my brother with the different needs he has. He's happy here so I'm happy. Thank you for looking after him.

My stepfather has only just arrived at Seaview. So far the service he has been given, from medical care, supervision and attention to his needs has been exemplary! As far as it can be, a happy atmosphere for residents and visitors. Thank you to all the team there. Clearly well managed and with committed and attentive staff.

I stayed in Sea View for respite from the 10th of June to the 12 July after an accident that left both arms in Plaster, rendering me unable to do anything. I need help going to the toilet, feeding, washing and being dressed. The staff and carers at Sea View are the most kindest and caring group of individuals I've ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do for me when I felt totally helpless. Once I started to recover and had my big plaster casts removed, they really helped me to recover and become independent for myself. I have to include everyone in the care home for friendliness, from the top boss, staff, nurses the splendid carers who work so hard to make sure you have everything you need. Admin staff, cleaners, handyman, laundry staff and the chefs who did their best to please everyone - not an easy task. I am so grateful. If I ever needed full-time care, I wouldn't hesitate to go back - thank you, one and all.

St Dominic‘s is extremely helpful. I feel at ease and confident that he is being well looked after and cared for. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a care home to come and visit. The food is extremely good, and the cleanliness is extremely good. It’s good to see residents doing activities and mixing with each other.

Excellent care for my dad, who was there for three years and was well looked after, plus he also renewed his wedding vows to my mum, and they did all food and drink, and they never charged us. He died about three weeks ago, and they organised the wake.

My wife has a lovely room at St Dominic's and received excellent nursing care for her complex condition. While the building and decore could be improved and the food needs to be better, these issues are being addressed under good management. Other places may look better, but remember what is important - the health and welfare of your loved one.

The sincere care and sympathy the staff felt towards my dad was really above the standard I was expecting for palliative care. I must mention two particular staff members for their tremendously gentle way they handled the situation, which was new to me and my family. They allowed the whole process to be calm and peaceful.

We have been visiting since May 2018. Our first problem is always parking, why do the manager and doctor park at the front door? There is insufficient parking. When you visit St Dominic's a warm welcome is always extended as you enter the building. The public areas together with the resident's rooms always appear neat, tidy and clean. The staff always communicate to you and allay any concerns you may have regarding your resident, you become involved, its what you need when you visit. The activity involvement with the residents is certainly beneficial to our resident, she seems calmer and for us it pays dividends. The food she tells us is great, she loves it, another plus in our book. The staff communicate to the residents, they have learnt their previous living history, the staff talk to them about it, it's great to see such enjoyment the resident gets from it. Finally, we are glad our mum lives there.

I was a resident of St Dominic’s on two separate occasions January - May 2016 and August -November 2019. On both occasions, I was looked after very well by friendly professional and caring staff whether carers, co-ordinators or nurses. Many of these became real and genuine friendships that have continued since moving on from St Dominic’s. I have always been particularly impressed by the kindness, patience and care shown by staff to persons suffering extreme forms of dementia. There are always stimulating activities and entertainment provided as well as generous and good quality food on offer.

I was admitted to St Dominic's about a year ago, after being in hospital for more than 6 months. I was in a poor state when I first went in, both physically and emotionally. The staff there were friendly and helped me to gain my independence back after losing my flat, personal properties and access to my finance. I am very grateful for the staff's help and they are always very respectful of the residents. The food is good and the atmosphere in the lounge is very good, and the managers are always there and willing to listen.

My wife was admitted to St Dominic's 21/11/19 and passed away 01/01/20 after being in three more facilities since 24/08/19. She suffered from vascular dementia for approx four years. She settled within two weeks, she had excellent care with the care staff, very caring and attentive. She was happy with the food and staff kept plenty of drinks etc. I was very pleased and surprised how well in the manner she accepted her stay because she had high standards. Staff called the doctor on several occasions. She was 86 (87 almost) her health had visibly faded when she died in spite of good care.

My mother has vascular dementia and requires all care now. We transferred her to St Dominic's in November and have been delighted with the care she has received.

It has been a difficult time putting mum into care for the family but the staff take the time to speak to us when we visit and keep us updated with any changes. All the residents are treated with extreme dignity.

The staff and management were all very caring and looked after my dad very well. They treated him with dignity and compassion. He was always clean and groomed and very well cared for, they never left him lying in bed unless he wasn't well. They always took him to the lounge where he had company and a staff member there. If he had the slightest bruise or any problems they always rang me. I would recommend St Dominic's highly.

My Dad was admitted to St Dominic's having been treated in hospital for a range of age-related issues. He had been hallucinating in the hospital and was quite confused. He has now been at St Dominic's for 5 months. His progress and rehabilitation has been exceptional, he arrived on a stretcher but is now walking short distances without any aids, is orientated and a recent social service assessment has concluded he has the capacity to make his own decisions so, at 82 he is now on the waiting list for sheltered accommodation. I doubt very much that he would be in this position now without the lovely staff at St Dominic's who have treated Dad with great care, compassion and most importantly for Dad, great good humour. Dad and I are very grateful, thank you all.
