Review of Seaview Nursing Home from Sam N (Son of Resident) published on 11 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our mum has been at Seaview for a number of year, and we have always found her care to be excellent. Even as her condition has worsened, the staff have continued to look after her with kindness and grace. While it is unfortunate she needs the type of care she does, it's wonderful that Seaview are able to provide that care, and it gives us peace of mind.

I have been a volunteer at the care home for nearly 6 years. In that time I have seen the fabric and appearance of the home improve considerably for the better. It has a much better welcoming environment and while I have asked the residents if they are happy with the staff they give an emphatic definite yes!

My husband was admitted to the willows on a respite period. I find the staff and the management team very caring, they support me with the admission process. My husband was so happy during the stay that he did not want to go back home. The food was to his expectation and he enjoyed doing daily group activities. I will highly recommend willows for a pleasant stay for your elderly ones.

Review of Seaview Nursing Home from Janet R (Friend of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Seaview nursing home is a lovely very clean nursing home.
The staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful in every way !!!

My friend has settled in really quickly, and I do feel that this is due to the way the staff treat their residents here. I have visited several nursing/ care homes and none have ever come anywhere near to this place. It's such a relief to know that at last my friend is getting the care he needs and deserves. Fully recommend this lovely home.

My husband has been several months at Seaview, and we are happy to say he is very well cared for, with kindness, and thoughtful staff help him be aware, with conversation, and humour, as well as a professional handling of his needs. No matter who is on duty there is uniform kindness shown to my husband and ourselves when visiting. Manager, Carolyn Volker, from the first, has been available, and listens to any thoughts we have about new situations as they arise, and you never have to wonder who to approach, in any event.

My Father has been resident here for a few years now. He is not mobile and needs to be hoisted out of bed daily. He also has dementia.

The staff at this nursing home are so warm, cheerful and friendly. The really take care of the residents and my father. My father has many activities from painting, to picnics in their gardens. He enjoys sitting in their home cinema room and watching the big screen. He is always happy and smiley. Good communication from the nursing home too. It's a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful building and the care providers are fantastic.

Review of Dene Place Care Home from Tim M (Son of Resident) published on 3 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
At very short notice Dene Place took my mother in for respite care, after hip surgery in hospital.
They welcomed her with open arms, settled her in and for the next three weeks of her stay made sure she was comfortable, cared for and well fed.
Their policy of allowing access at nearly all times (plus being able to bring in my dog to entertain my mum!) was superb and meant I was able to visit her as my schedule allowed.

Their care was 2nd to none and after the ongoing refurbishment I am certain that the ascetics of the building will match the quality of the staff.

Review of Birdscroft Nursing Home from Julie W (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My mother has dementia and is not mobile, she is not really aware of her surroundings.
Overall the home is good, the staff are excellent very kind and caring and provide a great standard of care to my mother.
The home itself is very basic but always appears clean.
There is a wide range of activities for those who wish to join in & special days are celebrated.

The cost is ridiculous, I do not know how this is justified. I would want 5* luxury for that.

Review of Dene Place Care Home from Astrid B (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother has been a resident at Dene Place, West Horsley since October 2021.
The carers and all the staff are very caring, friendly and professional.
Nothing is ever too much trouble and all the carers/staff bend over backwards to make life as comfortable as possible with a 'homily atmosphere'.
My mother has settled in very well, all her care needs are met. But, most importantly my mum is happy to be living at Dene Place.
So a big thank you from myself (and also my sister) for all the wonderful ongoing care that you provide.

Review of Dene Place Care Home from B R (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 22 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My 88-year-old father-in-law has been a resident at Dene Place since May 2024, and we could not be more grateful for the care he receives. Moving a loved one into a nursing home is never an easy decision, but the team at Dene Place made the transition incredibly smooth and welcoming.

The staff are the true heart of the home. They treat him with the utmost dignity, patience, and genuine affection, which has given our family immense peace of mind. He has a comfortable room that truly feels like his own space, and, when he is able to, he enjoys spending time looking at and relaxing in the beautiful gardens. It is so reassuring to visit and see him settled, content, and well-looked-after in such a lovely environment. Communication with the family has been excellent, and we always feel welcome and informed whenever we visit. Thank you to everyone at Dene Place for your dedication, kindness, and for making it a home away from home for him. Highly recommend!
