My very good friend was in for the last months of her life. All the staff - care staff, cleaners and chef were so helpful and friendly. She settled in very well. Aniska Lodge has a great team of friendly and helpful staff. It is clean, efficient and all down to good friendly management. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Well managed, friendly and clean. A great place to end one's life.

My lovely mum became a resident on the 31st of December 2021. Initially, I was very worried and stressed about Mum going into care. I needn't have worried. Mum was looked after to a high standard and all the staff were lovely. Mum loved to dance and they encouraged her, I would often get videos sent to me of Mum having a good boogie! I can't thank the team enough for showing real affection to my mum. Thank you.

Dad was only there for two weeks but he always looked immaculate, clean, shaved. Bedding always clean. All staff very caring and attentive. Aniska Lodge took covid seriously. Staff always kept us informed and thoughtful calls.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but the care shown to our dad was outstanding. Every member of staff showed him kindness and compassion. He was given dignity in every way. Cannot say enough how good the staff were and not just with him, every patient was treated with kindness and respect in some difficult situations. Our dad was clean, fed, safe, and that helped us get through the hardest of times.

Aniska Lodge's greatest asset is its staff. Always cheerful and friendly. Happy to do any requests when asked with a smile. Never had any concerns about Mum's care. Always kept informed of anything that involved Mum. The manager must take a lot of credit as believe good practice comes from the top.

My mother came to Aniska Lodge from hospital and although she was a resident for only a short while I would not hesitate to recommend Aniska Lodge. The staff were caring, friendly, and professional to my Mum and all the family. I was also kept very well informed at all stages regarding my Mum's care. Her room was bright and clean and she was very comfortable.

My mother had the misfortune to go into Aniska Lodge during the covid pandemic for the last few months of her life, however, under extremely difficult times/stresses the staff did their utmost best to ensure my mother was as comfortable as could be and that we could visit her whenever possible even though this was restricted by covid regulations. I would happily recommend Aniska Lodge to anyone who needs care.

My brother was discharged from the hospital to Aniska Lodge in December last year. Throughout his stay, the manager and other staff at the home made sure I was kept informed of every significant detail, and the care he has received has been wonderful. Particularly during the times when I was unable to visit during the Covid restrictions, I am very appreciative of knowing that he was in such good hands.

Several friends visited a patient in your care during February and March this year. Our friend had her final illness, but all of us noted how well cared for she was and how helpful the staff were to us and to her. It was lockdown and they had to do COVID tests on us before we could visit but everyone was helpful. We are so grateful that in her last few weeks he was so well cared for.

My husband was discharged from the hospital to the Aniska Lodge care home in March 2021; he was exhausted and very frail. He was treated with great respect, washed, shaved, changed and tucked up in a warm bed. The room was open and airy. His declining needs were quickly recognised and appropriate equipment supplied, but best of all, the staff loved him, nursed him, and he died peacefully in their tender, loving care, aged 88.

All the staff and management showed absolute professionalism and an abundance of care while my mother was a resident. It was during several lockdowns, which was extremely difficult for our family, but all at the Lodge were so understanding of the situation for all concerned. At the end of my mother's life, they dealt with it with enormous care and dignity.

My mother went here for palliative care, everyone was very lovely, treated with respect and dignity. Also very kindly looked after the family members that were allowed to visit as well.
We as the family thank you all very much.

The room was a very good size, if my mother would have been there for some time, which she wasn’t, I would have just given it a lick of paint to freshen it up, but otherwise, it was lovely.

My Mother resided at Aniska Lodge for very nearly 9 years with her room furnished with some of her own familiar furniture, a great comfort as her memory slowly failed her. She enjoyed the expert care from all the staff, she came in contact with. The staff always made me feel very welcome, offering tea and usually homemade cake. On her 100th birthday in 2019, the home organised a party attended by all the residents and three generations of her family.

I have read through the care notes this evening and cannot believe the level of care that your staff gave my Mum in the last weeks of her life. In the days since she has passed away, I’ve thought often, that I should have looked after her myself at home, had I known that she had so little time left. But having read what your staff did for her and the amount of attention she required, I realised that I could never have coped. It was quite shocking how quickly she deteriorated. The Dr had told me that her Ischemic leg would release toxins into her body and make her very ill. This is clearly what happened, but rapidly.

So I can only, once again, say thank you for everything that you and your staff did for her, keeping her comfortable and calm. Please pass my thanks on to everyone who was part of her care.
