My mum has been a resident of Ashton Grange since May this year - the third care facility since the start of her journey. Joseph and his team are simply the best! They totally understand the meaning of dementia care and every staff member is super lovely. The care my mum is receiving is second to none and we, as a family, can finally rest knowing that she is in very capable hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashton Grange. I am grateful every day for the care my mum is receiving. They have a fabulous schedule of activities which residents are encouraged to take part in - including visits from outside entertainers. The staff simply can't do enough - even when mum is grouchy - they know it is the illness - not my mum and treat her with the utmost respect. A huge thank you to Joseph and his team from a relieved daughter and son!

Our relative has been at Ashton Grange about 3 months now. There has been a very positive change for the better since then. They appear much happier in themselves and with the care that they have received from the staff. They have been engaged in a number of activities that are laid on for them on a day-by-day basis. The staff appear to be very patient with the residents, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

The whole team at Ashton Grange have just made such an unexpected effort to ensure my mother had a wonderful birthday in their care. They went above and beyond to make her feel special on her day, from decorating her room, ensuring she looked especially pretty ( for all the photos ) and making sure that the family had time with her and her care team which included the most wonderful birthday cake for the celebration.
Mum has only been in the care home for 3 months, she is enjoying the company and care, during a time when she has felt extremely disoriented due to the change in her circumstances.

I must say a big thank you, for all the photos I received of Mum enjoying the activities.

We moved Mum here due to her previous carehome not giving her the individually tailored care she needed which resulted in Mum becoming more and more isolated, frightened and becoming aggressive as a result. The staff at Ashton Grange are wonderful and quickly recognised what Mum needed and how to approach her. She is now very settled, seems much happier and we know she is safe. Communication is excellent here and the management are keen to work with families to find out what works best for their loved one both in the care of them and to tailor activities to suit. The staff appear to work well as a team and provide a family atmosphere. So pleased we found them!

I owned the care home where a resident of Ashton Grange used to live. I can only express my delight when I visited her as to how well she has settled and the excellent care she is being given. She genuinely looked happy as did the other residents. They offer person-centred, tailor made care by extremely caring staff led by an excellent manager.
They offer daily activities (even taking activities to resident's rooms), excellent food and I have nothing but praise for the care they provide.

Placing a loved on into a care facility is never an easy decision and can be very stressful to all concerned.

The team at Ashton Grange have done a wonderful job in helping us all settle in the mums new way of life.

Every visit is like visiting an extended family. There are smiles everywhere and nothing is ever too much trouble.

I am confident that she could not be in better hands.

Mum has been a resident of Ashton Grange since Q1 2019. It is a caring environment that provides the best support to residents and family. I have come to know the manager and the team well. It has been come clear that the level of care and support isn't superficial nor is it 'turned on at the flick of a switch' in anticipation of a family visit. It is part of the culture.

Over the years I have been particularly impressed by the younger members of the team. They have been thoughtful and caring.

Geographically I am some distance from Ashton Grange and so I am unable to 'pop in' when passing by. It is therefore tremendously important that I have every confidence in the manager and his staff to ensure that Mum has the best possible quality of life.

My husband has been at Ashton Grange for nearly two years, he has always received the best possible care that meet his needs,The staff are always very friendly towards me and other visitors.
He and all the other residents are treated like family members which comes across in how they treat the residents.(as if it were their own family they were caring for)
The manager is always available to talk to if I have any concerns or suggestions that not only concern my husband but in general as well.
The Kitchen staff do a fantastic job and will make sure everyone has what they want to eat,
We booked the front lounge for my husbands birthday, so all the family could come and help him celebrate in one area, the room was decorated along with some drinks and sandwiches and they made a lovely birthday cake that they brought in with about 6 members of staff.

There are daily activities for all the residents with outside entertainers going in a couple of times in the month

I am very happy with the care my mother receives at Ashton Grange Nursing Home. Staff check on her regularly, which is important for someone who is bed-bound. She is treated with respect and dignity and the staff are always cheerful and positive. My mother enjoys the food and they make sure that she is hydrated, which can be a challenge for those with dementia. Birthdays are a special event here. Staff created a special birthday party for my mother and her family with many grandchildren/great-grandchildren to attend. She loved it!

My stepdad has been at Ashton Grange for 20 months. I have found all the staff working here to be caring and compassionate and the home is very well managed. They organise different activities and often send me photos of my stepdad taking part. I am kept informed of any changes to his health and that inspires confidence. Carers, nurses and management are all equally happy to take the time to answer any questions.
As his medical needs change, everyone is well-informed and acts on new information immediately.

I'm very happy with the continuing care that he receives.

My relative was a resident at Ashton Grange for 10 years. We struggled to find a suitable place for the complex needs that would require professional care, whilst also meeting everyday needs and care.
My family and my relative were extremely happy with all the care aspects given i.e. nursing, carers, social interactions, catering and cleaning.
A very well-managed home run by an excellent manager with a great well-trained friendly compassionate team.

Most of all my relative was happy, felt secure. Felt understood and genuinely felt like an integral part of the family as a whole.

We always find the staff kind, caring and attentive. They provide a range of activities for the residents throughout the week to keep them active and help with their cognitive functions. Since our friend moved here, it has been a relief to know how well cared for she has been. The management keeps us informed, provides regular updates on our friend, and arranges family activities for friends and relatives to attend. It really is an excellent testament to how a care home should be run.
