The relationship between the staff also appeared excellent making it feel like a happy place. I have only given the rooms four stars but I know that if a permanent resident, they can be made more personal.

Donnington House is perfect for our family member. The staff are caring and attentive, the food is tasty and varied, we have eaten there with our relative on several occasions. The open visiting policy is very helpful for us as we don’t live in the local area. The building itself may be a little worn and tired in places, but this in no way detracts from the care received. To be honest, we and our family member prefer the homely environment to a hospital-like modern facility. The activities and entertainment have been a welcome distraction at times, while our family member adjusts to residential living. The home is always fresh, warm and the gardens are lovely. We consider ourselves lucky to have secured a place at Donnington House. In the grand scheme of things, there is really nothing that warrants criticism, nursing care is a hard job and we thank everyone for looking after our cousin.

My father has been a resident at Donnington House for nearly three years. Throughout this time he has been treated with respect, dignity and total care by a professional team which has resulted in my father feeling safe and secure which is of paramount importance to me.

My mum has been a resident at Donnington House for four years. Her needs have increased since admission and she is now bed bound and highly dependent. Throughout her stay, her care has been of the highest standard and I feel fortunate that we found Donnington House when Mum needed care. I have never had any cause for complaint or concern. The staff unfailingly do an excellent job.

My impression is that residents are well cared for and happy. They tell me about the activities they enjoy and how good the meals are. The staff are friendly and approachable.

My mother's experience at Donnington House has been simply outstanding. We moved her in May 2020 and the improvement in her mental and physical health was transformative. In the last three years, she has received outstandingly good care. Kind attentive and 108% professional. All the Donnington House staff deserve the Order of the British Empire. the food is Michelin star quality. Above all, as relatives, we are welcomed and supported. Donnington House is a gem. We feel blessed to have our mother there. Thank you!

My friend became a resident almost two years ago. I have visited her once every week on different days and at different times. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful and very kind to my friend. Even when she went into hospital, two of the staff visited her. Even with Covid to contend with, they did their best. The residents' special occasions are marked with love.

I have been attending Donnington House for over a year now with my dog as part of the Pets as Therapy programme. I have found the home to be a very welcoming environment and all the staff I have met are very caring and friendly. The activity organiser has made us particularly welcome and my dog adores her as she always has treats in her pocket. The residents all seem happy and comfortable. The whole place has a comfortable and homely feel. I would not hesitate to recommend Donnington House.

My mother and father were both residents in Donnington House, my mother for over 11 years before she passed away in January 2023. Throughout their time in the home, they were both provided with loving care, respect and encouragement which went well beyond what could reasonably be expected. The commitment of the staff during the Covid crisis, especially in its early stages, probably saved many lives. There is a special atmosphere at Donnington House, created by the brilliant staff, many of whom have worked there for a number of years and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody.

Donnington House Care Home - we cannot thank and praise you all enough. From the phone call to say you would be able to accommodate Mum, to your unfailing care, support and all round wonderfulness to Mum, we are so truly grateful to you all. Every single member of staff truly did their best for her and supported me and my family wholeheartedly through her admission to her passing, and we honestly could not have asked for any more from any of you. Communication was first class, and everyone was always cheerful, kind, honest, caring and supportive. I would highly recommend this amazing home and their team of wonderful people.

The staff at Donningot House have been amazing during the pandemic and have taken every precaution to keep residents safe. They have remained cheerful and caring and shown support to their residents. Their care of my mother at the end of her life made all our lives better, and she was comfortable and treated with care to the end.

My father went into Donnington House from the hospital for a month until he died in August. The staff at the home were fantastic, and nothing was a problem at any time. I would recommend them to anybody.

Donnington House carers are the best I’ve ever seen. They are so caring and loving towards the residents and have genuine care.

My mother has been cared for by Donnington House for about six months. I cannot speak more highly about this home. The empathy, care and love for the residents is incredible. The staff are all welcoming (without exception), always helpful. Something, in particular, is the focus on care for relatives and friends of the residents as well as those in the home. We have always felt welcome and part of the family. We have tried several homes before for respite and this significantly exceeds all others. A key part of the success of Donnington to us is the approach of all staff. It's cheery. It's a great place.

My Dad has been cared for by the wonderful team at Donnington House until he passed away at the home. Throughout his journey he was treated with immense dignity and respect. He was fond of every member of staff and a good relationship was built with all of them. The home was always spotlessly clean. Dad had often said that the food was very good. There was a good variety of entertainment and I wish Dad had been in a position to join in, but he loved listening to music as it wafted through the home. My family and I were supported with compassion and empathy through a very sad and difficult time by the kind and caring staff whatever the time of day. I am so pleased my Dad was able to spend his last months in such a facility and I do thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

I would recommend this home to everyone. It's always clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The residents are always happy and there are lots of activities for the residents and families to join in with. The meals look good and smell great, if you don't fancy what is on the menu, they will cook what you want. Brilliant place to live well done to all concerned in the running of the home.

My Mother-in-Law has been in Donnington for 18 months. She has always received excellent care. The staff go above and beyond and are also friendly to us.
