Over all time Wellcross Grange has 61 reviews.
My mum has been a resident of Wellcross Grange for about six months. From my first visit to check its suitability I have always found the management and staff very caring and genuine. Nothing is too much trouble. From the range of activities and entertainment to the meals provided the standard is excellent. There is a real sense of community at Wellcross Grange and it really does feel like my mum is at home.
I cannot praise everyone associated with the care of my father enough for the 18 months he spent in the home, the care and management are second to none and every time I or any member of my family visited we were all welcomed in with open arms and treated as part of the family of Wellcross Grange and I would have no qualms in highly recommending the home to anyone looking for a placement for any of their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your kind reviews, it means a great deal to the team and we are glad we were able to make a difference. Please don't be strangers, you are always more than welcome to pop in for some tea and cake.
Myself and my family can't fault the love and care that the staff show my husband. There is also a hug when they can see I am struggling as well, which means a lot to me. The care and support are outstanding. Thank you.
We visited many homes before choosing Wellcross Grange and were taken in by the warm welcome we received and the friendly staff we encountered, as well as, the facilities and atmosphere. The professional manner of discussion immediately gave us confidence in the suitability of the home. When we got back in the car we all just nodded in agreement that it was the right place. We have been more than pleased with the support, comfort and dignity our father has received. Furthermore, we have felt that we, too, have been supported. In the best organisations working as a strong team is necessary and it is clear that this is evident in Wellcross through its administrative practises, catering, housekeeping and nursing and care staff along with numerous roles that have led to such high standards being maintained. Equally, all the staff have shown empathy, compassion and kindness. At the end of his long life, our father has been given the best of care, respect and dignity that we could have hoped for.
My mother has been well looked after by the very caring and responsive staff, who go out of their way for the residents. All amenities are very good and I would rate the home very highly and would recommend it to others.
We chose Wellcross Grange for Mum because it felt inclusive. Residents are seen for the people they are and not by need. The home has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and a family feel - it doesn't feel like an "institution" but rather Mum and the other residents' home. The management team are very approachable and very prompt in their responses. They listen to what we say and actions are quickly agreed upon. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. We are allowed, indeed encouraged, to contribute to Mum's care. We never feel in the way (although I'm sure we are sometimes). Mum is always engaged. Her presence (and comments when she makes them) are valued. We feel Wellcross is a safe and caring home and we feel grateful to have found it and secured a place for Mum.
We are delighted with the standard of care my mother has received since arriving at Wellcross Grange in January 2020. The staff are brilliant and it is such a well-run home. Thank you to all of the team. We chose well!
I am very pleased that my friend is a resident at Wellcross Grange as I know that she is treated with great care and attention by all members of staff. They treat her with much love and dignity and I am grateful for all the nursing home is doing for her.
Wellcross Grange is an extremely caring nursing home and is run in a highly professional manner. We feel that staff go beyond their duty to create a safe and happy home for everyone. Thank you for all the care and attention you give.
We couldn't be more thankful to have chosen Wellcross Grange for Mum and her complex needs after her stroke. Mum was cared for with dignity and love and we are most grateful to all the staff. The residents all seemed very happy on our daily visits (although Mum had to remain in her own room). Time was taken by the activities coordinators to sit with Mum so she didn't miss out on conversations - Mum also had late-stage dementia. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wellcross Grange. Many thanks.
My father has received great care while in the home. He has been very well looked after and we are very thankful for the care and attention given to him. The home has always been very responsive and manages to anticipate all his needs and requirements. We are very happy.
The home is set o beautiful surroundings and I am sure will be lovely in the summer.
When Mum needed somewhere on being discharged from hospital, we looked at several homes for her and Wellcross fitted all the requirements and we haven't looked back or regretted our decision. She is happy, settled and, for 100 years old, quite 'lively and amusing' with her Wellcross family.
It is difficult to find words to express our appreciation to the Matron and her staff for the way they looked after my brother, which in normal circumstances would have been a trying time, but under the present conditions, the support to him and the family has been exemplary. The preparation at the care home, given the difficulties arising from the pandemic, has been exceptional. He spoke very highly of the staff and his room which he described as spacious. He enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and loved being surrounded by the lovely gardens.
My mother stayed here for 3 months and we found the home to be fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful. We visited several homes before deciding on the Grange and knew it was the right place as soon as we walked in due to the homely family feel and we are glad we trusted our instinct. Thank you so much.
My mother, as well as the rest of the family, received nothing but kindness, care and support during her six year stay at Wellcross Grange and we cannot thank everyone enough for all that they have done over the years. The difficult decisions around Covid-19 were very well managed by the management and support team, always one step ahead and finding ways around difficulties. I am not surprised they have avoided an outbreak. The staff without exception have been amazing giving up their personal freedom for the wellbeing of the resident which they deliver with kindness, professionalism and sensitivity in extremely difficult circumstances. This is a wonderful homely and caring residence which comes highly recommended.
My father in law has been at Wellcross Grange for about 18 months and has been superbly looked after with kindness and respect. The care is excellent with the staff always willing to support and assist the family. The food is excellently prepared and it has a good range of activities for residents. Would absolutely recommend.
Friendly and welcoming. Safe environment. Everything you'd want from a care home. Professional.
Wellcross Grange have been amazing in regards to the care of my father and also their compassion and empathy towards my family and I. The staff have always been welcoming and friendly while also acting with fantastic professionalism. Wellcross Grange are so welcoming it feels like a home from home and are part of an extended family. I highly recommend Wellcross Grange to anyone looking for these kind of services and care.
Friendly and welcoming. Excellent staff. Organised and professional.
