The care staff were all brilliant with my mother for the four and a half years of her stay. They were always helpful, friendly, and welcoming when we visited and promptly advised if the GP had been called to see her or of any other medical concerns. In many ways they wee he substitute family when we could not be there and treated her with great dignity and obvious affection.

Both of my parents were receiving nursing care at The Paddocks for just a few weeks at the end of their lives. All of the staff were wonderful and caring. The staff kept us informed at all times of their medical needs. We felt confident in all aspects of the care given to my parents and consideration given to all the family. I would highly recommend this care home.

The Paddocks are a huge care home, the staff are kept busy and have to do all forms of tasks. When referred, sometimes agency personnel are called for the contact between the home, the doctors, outside NHS, nurses and hospitals which is good when referred. The control of medication is good from the homes team. Perhaps an increase of new wheel-chairs, walking frames, bed and chair pressure pads, seating pads for comfort and not depending on social services and hospital to "support" the home, across all wings at The Paddocks. For some items i.e toilet and pads, towels and bedding are always there to use, which is nice and clean. This is not a complaint of the home, just a view which may continue to improve the care given.

My mum was admitted to Kingfisher Wing for rehab following a spell in hospital. It was soon evident that her health was failing and she should never have been admitted for rehab as she just wasn't well enough. Her health deteriorated quite rapidly but Kingfisher Wing were brilliant, they arranged for GP, District Nurses to ensure her final days were comfortable and pain-free. The care staff were so caring, kind and compassionate to my mum in the short time she was there, it was overwhelming. Special thanks must go to the senior carers but also praises for all the other staff who not only looked after mum but us as well.

My husband was at The Paddocks Care Home from 6th April until 11th May, after which he sadly died in hospital. For the whole of his short stay at The Paddocks, he was treated with respect, care and courtesy. The staff were unfailingly kind and cheerful. I am grateful to them for the care they provided.

I am so pleased to send this information about the care home. My Mum was placed into The Paddocks Care Home on the 8th March - 6th May 2018 when she passed away. The care and attention paid to her by all the staff was first class, she did not want for anything. The staff was on the ball for all her medication and was on the ball so that she was never in pain and the staff attended to all of her needs. They also gave me help as things went on and after visiting her every day when I left her I knew she was in good hands. It felt as when I left, someone else in the family was looking after her. This care home is run extremely well from top to bottom.

My mother has been a resident at the above home for nearly three weeks, during which time she has been looked after excellently. I have spoken to several staff and all have been polite and very caring in the way they look after my mother. All the staff are very cheerful and smart in their appearance too. What I have seen of the food served looks very appetising. All rooms look clean and staff answer the buzzer very quickly when pressed.

I have spoken to the office staff and management who were very helpful and know the answers to everything I asked well done.

My mum has spent four years at The Paddocks Care Home although her dementia took its toll she was always happy there. Myself, sister and brothers have really appreciated the care, kindness and thoughtfulness from the staff, some of which went out of their way to make sure our mum was happy.

Sadly since she passed away recently and has left a huge gap in our lives, as you might expect because we loved her dearly. The Paddocks staff deserve a medal for all their amazing care and kindness to all of the residents I can't express how very grateful we are to all of them.

Mum moved from respite into her new home at The Paddocks in the middle of April. She had her own room with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a comfy chair. She had her own toilet and wash basin and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Her window looked out on the gardens which was paved for ease of wheelchair use. My husband and I had high hopes for her to sit out in her wheelchair with the sun on her face listening to the birds tweeting which she hadn’t been able to do for some time as she was housebound. Unfortunately, this never happened. She was not in a very good place when she arrived and despite endless amounts of love and care from all the staff who looked after her, she sadly passed away a mere 6 weeks after her arrival. The support we received from all the staff in the home was amazing, they even attended her church service which was much appreciated by her very small family. Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely home from home.

This is the first time my husband has stayed in a care home so I found it was a bit strange at first. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful which made a difference.

I can't thank the staff and management enough as they helped us all the time and made us welcome to go in anytime we wanted.
They looked after our friend and gave her lots of love and care.
We had a little tea party two weeks ago with our friend and had a lovely afternoon.

Nothing was too much for the staff who looked after her.

I have just had three weeks in The Paddocks Care Home, Swaffham.
Anything I wanted, they would do their best to get it. The food was great, just like being at home.
Top marks to you all. 10 out of 10.

If I had to go into a care home again, this would be the one I would choose. So thank you so much to you all.

After a very serious operation I came to The Paddocks for three weeks recuperation. I have regained strength through the love and care this home has given me. I have found staff feels like family that cares not only for us but for each other. I would if I ever had to, be happy to stay again without fear. I have been treated with respect and nothing has been too much for them to meed my needs even though they work very hard indeed. From cleaner, dishwasher, chef and nursing staff each has met me with a cheerful smile and I am grateful to all of them.

At first when I came here I felt very frightened but the more I got to know the staff and areas I felt more like at home. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble from any of the department. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone who would need a little rest or become permanent resident. I love all the staff very much and I had had great company with other residents.
