I am delighted to have taken over as home manager at Catchpole which has a really dedicated and caring team. I have brought more than 30 years of experience in social care into my current role, having worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS, social services and the voluntary sector, as well as the private sector. This has enabled me to develop knowledge and experience across all areas to a high level. We want to be known for delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, empowering residents and promoting independence to support physical and mental wellbeing.
I have been in the care sector for 11 years and started my career in care as a healthcare assistant within the NHS. I qualified as a nurse in 2020 and have vast experience in various specialities and within social care. I am passionate about providing a high standard of person-centred care that empowers people to live an exceptional quality of life within their home. I am excited for my new venture at Catchpole Court. The atmosphere feels homely, and care is provided with a person-centred approach. The interactions I have observed between staff and the residents are inspirational and memorable. The care and compassion towards residents from all departments of staff is admirable, and I am proud to be an integrated part of the team. Although I have spent most of my life in Lancashire. Sudbury appears to be a wonderful place full of history. In my spare time, I enjoy spending valuable time with my family, I am a gym goer and a keen Mountain Biker.
I have worked in Customer Service & Administration since I left school. I enjoy advising/guiding people, and chatting with them. I love working at Catchpole Court. Every day brings something different. Yes, we face challenges, but we all deal with them together. There is a big sense of 'family' here between staff and the residents. Sudbury is a beautiful town with a lovely history. We have beautiful walking areas with water surrounding them. I love seeing dogs playing in the water.
I have worked at Catchpole Court for 19 years as a senior carer and then I progressed as the Activities Coordinator. At Catchpole Court Nursing Home, I enjoy being with our residents and fulfilling their wishes.
Catchpole Court is a great place to work and I am proud of the events that we put on. The residents' happiness makes my work worthwhile. My family are important to me and I have twin boys who keep me on my toes. We enjoy family time together and walking our dog. I have been a part of the community in Sudbury all my life and enjoy being actively involved with the community.
