Was invited to a Mothers Day flower arranging & afternoon tea. What a lovely afternoon and well put together. A table adorned with sandwiches, cakes, fruit, biscuits and endless cups of tea & coffee, squash. Residents were clearly enjoying themselves, finished arrangements were placed on the tables. Relatives were handed a homemade gift on departing, a lovely, relaxed, happy afternoon. Thank you, activities coordinator & team.

Grandad & Nan enjoy their time here. The staff go above & beyond to provide lovely days out that would not have been possible if they were still at their own home. It brings relief to my mum to know that they're being well looked after & fed nice warm meals every day. They can enjoy the company of others whilst having their own space if they feel like watching their own TV or being alone.

My dad has now been a resident for over 7 years and whilst it was never his intention to spend the rest of his life in a home & wasn't what I wanted for him either, but I don't think we could have chosen a better place for him, the staff are kind & put up with his cheekiness and there are always lots of fun activities on offer, so I thank you all for your kindness with him, even if he is a little naughty at times!

The home is conveniently located within the centre of town, very well maintained and with a homely feel to it.
The staff are very caring and get to know the residents well.
It is a very stressful event to place a parent in care and the home supported us closely throughout the process.
My mother is at home and relaxed in her new environment which is so important.

Great team and experienced staff.

Staffing is still a big issue there. My father has had to wait for baths or bed baths on numerous occasions. I visit every weekend, sometimes dad is still waiting for a wash. Sometimes he doesn't get a mid morning cup of tea. More training on diabetic diets etc needed. Activities on Gainsborough are first class and dad loves getting out of his room and joining in. Staff are friendly and when not overworked they take good care of dad. There have been some cleaning issues but they have been addressed. The regular staff should be rewarded for their dedication to the residents. The activities lady goes above and beyond keeping the residents entertained etc.

I am so grateful for everyone at Catchpole Court Care Home.
When we found out my dad was end of life, I felt so guilty knowing he would be going into a nursing home, but all of that guilt went.
The level of care has been amazing, and dad is now comfortable.
The home is very clean, the staff are so friendly, the food is lovely, and most importantly, they have delivered the best possible care for my dad!

The new manager at Catchpole Court has been brilliant! She has really made the nursing home, a home!

So far I have been very impressed with Catchpole Court Care Home and the staff. Those that I have met, so far, have been very helpful with questions I have had. My brother seems very happy with the food and I love the idea that family get offered a cup of tea or coffee as well.

Items of clothing of my brothers were missing and the very helpful staff helped me today locate them, my fault as not all of his clothing is labelled as yet, working on it.

Review from Richard C (Brother of Resident) published on 29 January 2025 Submitted via Website

I looked at a number of Care Homes prior to choosing Catchpole Court Care Home for my brother's ongoing care and found Catchpole would be the best one to meet my brother's needs.
Upon arrival, I was first struck by the cleanliness of the place and warm welcome I received from all the staff, and the only home I visited to completely show me around the whole site.
Since my brother arrived into care here, he has been very happy with the support and daily care he gets. All the carers/staff are friendly, helpful and clearly go to great lengths to keep the residents happy and contented. We were particularly taken by the efforts made to make my brother feel at home, putting up shelves for his keepsakes and other things.
In my brother's words, the food is excellent from breakfast to bedtime every day!

Several weeks into his stay and we are both very happy and for me especially grateful to see my brother in such good hands.

As a family we are very pleased how our mother has settled in and the care and attention she receives is excellent. My mother is always telling us how lovely the food is and she has very much enjoyed the trips she has been on, one to a garden centre where they had lunch, and the second trip to a local town to look round the town and stopped for a coffee.

The security at the care home is excellent and cannot fault the dedication of the nurses, carers and the management who have always got time to answer any questions.

I was asked to accompany Mum on a trip to Felixstowe in the minibus. The activities, the lady on the Gainsborough Unit organised, everything first class. All four residents had a lovely time, even two went up on the big wheel. They were toileted, fed, watered, and cared for with love and respect. Fantastic day was had by all - long may it continue!
