My dad has now been a resident for over 7 years and whilst it was never his intention to spend the rest of his life in a home & wasn't what I wanted for him either, but I don't think we could have chosen a better place for him, the staff are kind & put up with his cheekiness and there are always lots
of fun activities on offer, so I thank you all for your kindness with him, even if he is a little naughty at times!

The warm and welcoming atmosphere has been amazing from everyone, ie manager, cleaners, kitchen staff, support workers and nursing staff. The care and respect from everyone has been lovely. The options of food is wonderful. The activities are so important for my Mother to take part with to keep her

Was invited to a Mother's day high tea, and wow oh wow! An enormous spread of cakes, cheeses, biscuits, fruit was laid out, along with tables adorned with tea cups, saucers, plates, chocs were placed as personal treats and confetti. There was a tombola, raffle, music and so much laughter to be heard.
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, very well put together with so much effort, and it certainly paid off. WELL DONE!!!

My husband is very happy in Catchpole Court Care Home. All staff are so good work so hard and room is very clean all the time cleaners are so good all is not to much trouble and staff as before as very excellent. Lady who does all bingo etc and all activities with residents is excellent person.

Despite the room being well decorated and spacious, for the amount which is being paid it is very disappointing there is no ensuite toilet.

The home is conveniently located within the centre of town, very well maintained and with a homely feel to it.
The staff are very caring and get to know the residents well.
It is a very stressful event to place a parent in care and the home supported us closely throughout the process.

Staffing is still a big issue there. My father has had to wait for baths or bed baths on numerous occasions. I visit every weekend, sometimes dad is still waiting for a wash. Sometimes he doesn't get a mid morning cup of tea. More training on diabetic diets etc needed. Activities on Gainsborough are
first class and dad loves getting out of his room and joining in. Staff are friendly and when not overworked they take good care of dad. There have been some cleaning issues but they have been addressed. The regular staff should be rewarded for their dedication to the residents. The activities lady goes above and beyond keeping the residents entertained etc.

I am so grateful for everyone at Catchpole Court Care Home.
When we found out my dad was end of life, I felt so guilty knowing he would be going into a nursing home, but all of that guilt went.
The level of care has been amazing, and dad is now comfortable.
The home is very clean, the staff are so
friendly, the food is lovely, and most importantly, they have delivered the best possible care for my dad!
The new manager at Catchpole Court has been brilliant! She has really made the nursing home, a home!

So far I have been very impressed with Catchpole Court Care Home and the staff. Those that I have met, so far, have been very helpful with questions I have had. My brother seems very happy with the food and I love the idea that family get offered a cup of tea or coffee as well.
Items of clothing of
my brothers were missing and the very helpful staff helped me today locate them, my fault as not all of his clothing is labelled as yet, working on it.

I looked at a number of Care Homes prior to choosing Catchpole Court Care Home for my brother's ongoing care and found Catchpole would be the best one to meet my brother's needs.
Upon arrival, I was first struck by the cleanliness of the place and warm welcome I received from all the staff, and the
only home I visited to completely show me around the whole site.
Since my brother arrived into care here, he has been very happy with the support and daily care he gets. All the carers/staff are friendly, helpful and clearly go to great lengths to keep the residents happy and contented. We were particularly taken by the efforts made to make my brother feel at home, putting up shelves for his keepsakes and other things.
In my brother's words, the food is excellent from breakfast to bedtime every day!
Several weeks into his stay and we are both very happy and for me especially grateful to see my brother in such good hands.

As a family we are very pleased how our mother has settled in and the care and attention she receives is excellent. My mother is always telling us how lovely the food is and she has very much enjoyed the trips she has been on, one to a garden centre where they had lunch, and the second trip to a local
town to look round the town and stopped for a coffee.
The security at the care home is excellent and cannot fault the dedication of the nurses, carers and the management who have always got time to answer any questions.

I was asked to accompany Mum on a trip to Felixstowe in the minibus. The activities, the lady on the Gainsborough Unit organised, everything first class. All four residents had a lovely time, even two went up on the big wheel. They were toileted, fed, watered, and cared for with love and respect. Fantastic
day was had by all - long may it continue!

We came to see our Uncle and the staff who were settling him were kind and friendly. He was generally happy but a bit confused having moved rooms and was looking forward to his clock and pictures being put on the wall. He'd enjoyed a quiz, doughnuts, and company at lunchtime. I am delighted to have taken over as home manager at Catchpole which has a really dedicated and caring team. I have brought more than 30 years of experience in social care into my current role, having worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS, social services and the voluntary sector, as well as the private sector. This has enabled me to develop knowledge and experience across all areas to a high level. We want to be known for delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, empowering residents and promoting independence to support physical and mental wellbeing.

I have worked at Catchpole Court for 30 years as a registered nurse. At Catchpole Court Nursing Home, I am passionate about looking after others and strive to provide excellent care to ensure that the residents feel safe and well cared for during their time at Catchpole Court.


Catchpole Court is a great place to work and I am proud to be part of a team delivering person-centred care for our residents. I have worked at Catchpole Court for 19 years as a senior carer and then I progressed as the Activities Coordinator. At Catchpole Court Nursing Home, I enjoy being with our residents and fulfilling their wishes.


Catchpole Court is a great place to work and I am proud of the events that we put on. The residents' happiness makes my work worthwhile. My family are important to me and I have twin boys who keep me on my toes. We enjoy family time together and walking our dog.
