The wonderful staff at Haughgate House cared for my mum over the past eighteen months. I would especially like to thank them for their compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness over the last few weeks of her life. I will always remember their sympathetic words and the strength they gave me.

My husband was discharged from hospital to the Haughgate House Nursing Home, after he had a protracted stay in hospital and needed more care than I was able to give him at home.
We are so pleased to see how my husband has improved since he has been at the home.
He has complex needs and requires a
lot of nursing care, but all the staff are so kind cheerful and helpful.
His room is very pleasant with a lovely large window and the care staff have placed his bed close to this so he is able to look out onto the garden.
We have given a bird feeder with food today and the staff put this up immediately.
The whole ambience when you enter is of a home from home feel.
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to visit much as yet and are awaiting eagerly for the visiting to be extended beyond just myself so that the extended family can see their father/grandfather and great grandfather.
My daughter and I would like to thank you for all your wonderful care in what is a very difficult time.

Every member of staff I have met or spoken to are very caring, it’s easy to speak to the new manager and I feel comfortable that my mother is being well cared for.
Mother tells me that the staff are very nice and the food is excellent.

I am so pleased with my husband's experience at Haughgate. Although I miss him terribly, he seems so contented with the service he gets at the moment. His face lights up when he sees the staff and he chats animatedly (if not understandably!) to them. I pray this continues as his dementia and Parkinsons
disease get worse.

My mother moved to Haughgate House from another home and she has been so much happier at Haughgate. The staff, especially the nursing staff, are the most caring, thoughtful and professional I have ever seen in a care home (and I have seen a lot). They really have tried to make the last part of my mum's

Am disappointed in the appearance of my friend. He needs shave regularly. Was sick and came out with a filthy t.shirt on. Otherwise am happy with how he is being looked after. Even though he can be non-compliant most of the time.

My mother has been a resident for six weeks. The transition from living independently at home was not easy, but the kindness, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff relieved a lot of the anxiety she and we have had. I visited her today in the garden pod which is comfortable, and the ability to visit
is much appreciated. In her own words, she loves her room with two windows and sunshine coming in, looks forward to her meals and says the carers are always cheerful, friendly and look after her very well. She enjoys coming down to the lounge and joining in with the activities when she feels she would like to. She says my sister and I have chosen a very good place for her to live. Our thanks to the manager and her excellent staff.

My experience of visiting Haughgate House Nursing Home during the coronavirus emergency has been only outdoors in very difficult circumstances for everyone.
The staff are kind and helpful and the nursing care seems to be to a high standard. I am kept informed of any issues. The manager has been very
supportive. I cannot rate the rooms/food, drink as have not seen them. Value for money does not apply.

I have found the carers and management staff to be both kind, patient and efficient. Although they all seem very busy all of the time, they still are polite and friendly. Many relatives spend most of their days visiting and all say good things about their family's care.

I give all credit to the amazing staff during this awful time. They have worked tirelessly to keep morale and spirits up of the residents and also of the relatives by doing video link ups. They have kept their standard of care up to highest levels possible whilst dealing with PPE and also their own
anxieties. Well done to all the staff, nurses, carers, activity staff, maintenance staff, kitchen staff and cleaners.

My mother was admitted for palliative care which clearly is not the best of circumstances and difficult for the family however the staff have been truly amazing with their support, kindness, care and understanding leadership, staff morale, attitude and quality of food and refreshments are outstanding.

I have visited many care homes in the Ipswich and Woodbridge area over the past six years. Some have been passable and others poor. In my opinion, Haughgate House should be held up as how a home should be run. It is outstanding from the Manager down. Staff are brilliant, with residents motivated from

On the whole, mum's stay at Haughgate House has been very good. She is made as comfortable as possible and staff are pleasant and helpful. The manager runs a tight ship and is very efficient and responds promptly to questions and issues when needed. Plus has a good working relationship with her staff.

A welcoming home with caring staff. My grandmother is fully supported by staff. Management and nurses support my mum, who struggles with my grandmother. Activities are a bit slow and not always in the afternoon.
