I recently visited my mother everyday for a week. My visits were at various times of the day. I noted how the carers were all very caring and knew the residents very well. Their communication with them was always friendly and respectful. The activities were varied and interesting. The food looked delicious - even the pureed food looked like it was from a 5* restaurant. Even the chef and kitchen staff had good raport with residents.
Im glad mum has settled in well hopefully we will see you again soon.
My Mum was a resident for four years, she was well cared for and happy. The staff were amazing, formed friendships and really got to know my Mum and her character. The home has a manageable amount of residents that are always well turned out and encouraged to join into activities, of which there were plenty. I was kept informed about my Mum's health and welfare, receiving regular checks by staff to ensure that I had no concerns, and the chance to discuss any care plans. Lound Hall did a fantastic job of caring for my Mum which gave me reassurance that she was safe and happy.
I'm so glad mum was happy at Lound Hall we will all miss her.
Mum loves the staff and they show her love and affection. It's wonderful to see her face light up when nurses, carers, housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, pop their heads round the door to her room to check she is okay.
Thank you for bringing my Mum into the real world again.
Thankyou for your feedback the staff were so happy that they have made such a difference reading your lovely feedback.
Nurses Julie and Sy kept us informed at every step of the way and always worked with kindness and empathy. Thank you.
(As an added note, we are not able to rate Food & Drink, but were not given the option of 'No Rating' for this category).
Thankyou for your feedback it is so nice to hear that the staff helped at this difficult time. They have been very humbled by your post. Thankyou and we are always still here if you need us.
All the staff are wonderful-nurses, carers, kitchen, maintenance, and office team. Everyone takes the time to know the residents and support families too.For the first time in a long while, I left in tears-but happy ones. I'm so grateful Thank you
I am so glad she is settling so well, we love her cheeky personality and she is so happy. Thankyou
My mother was in this care home for 2 1/2 years until she passed away on the 29 Nov 2025. The staff and care support team were so kind and caring towards my mother she loved being there and thanks to them all.
She will be missed and we loved having her here. Thankyou for your kind words.
Every single member of staff was helpful and ready to assist. It had a real feeling of care and love. It's the best home I've ever visited and I've been to quite few,
Thankyou for your feedback it was lovely to feed back to the team
Looked after mum with great care, and had a wonderful 5 years living there. But the last few months the care was very very good.
Thankyou for your feedback it was a pleasure to look after Mum. The team will miss her greatly.
At my initial interview visit I was greeted warmly and professionally. Once my companion was admitted he became relaxed and spoke well of his room and the attention he received from all levels and grades of staff. It was a pleasure visit my friend for 3 hours each day. When he succumbed to his terminal conditions my companion, my son, and I were treated with care, dignity and respect, for which I say a big thank you for making his last days bearable.
Thankyou for your review. It is nice to hear you were all well looked after. The team were very touched by your comments. Thankyou
Mum has only been here a short time but has settled well. The care she has been shown has been heart warming. Mum lost dad in January so it's been a tough time for all of us especially mum. The empathy and understanding, kindness and care mum has and is getting is incredible. I will always be truly thankful to all the Lound care team. They go above and beyond for mum. A massive thank you to all at Lound.
Thankyou for your review. The care team miss you all.
This was when we were first introduced to Lound Hall, who from the beginning were confident in their own ability to help.
While they did, however, Mother-in-law's health continued to worsen. Unfortunately, she had to be moved into hospital to attempt to stabilise her, which they were unable to do.
This was when Lound Hall showed their total professionalism, with management and support staff raising their game and giving as much assistance to me as they could.
Well done to you all, thanks.
The staff at Lound went beyond for my dad and even for the family. Dad had always found it hard to adapt to new things and being in new places but warmed up very quickly to Lound Hall Care Home. I was worried about Dad being in a care home at first as any daughter would but the staff are lovely, polite, empathetic, and caring and they always go the extra mile. We were always comfortable at every visit and you could see that Dad was very well looked after. Before Dad passed he mentioned how lovely the staff was, he really enjoyed the cooking and the chefs were lovely. The chefs would politely ask Dad what food he would like and always made food to suit Dad's needs. The care home is lovely and clean and cleaned more than twice a day which is really lovely. My family and myself felt so respected and cared for during this difficult time. The staff at the care home really are amazing and I'm incredibly grateful that my dad was in safe hands. Dad loved Lound Hall Care Home and so did the family.
Absolutely brilliant care home, it really goes the extra mile to look after all its residents. Staff are always very friendly and will do anything for residents and visitors alike, really cannot fault it.
My mother was a resident in Lound Hall for approximately a year following a serious stroke. The care given to her by the staff was outstanding in every respect. She was treated with warmth, compassion and respect by everyone, right up until her final days. My wife and I were made to feel welcome whenever we visited and the flow of information from the admin staff was first-rate. Mum was encouraged to join in the many community activities and was thrown a lovely lunch party for her 90th. The home is cosy and comfortable with several communal areas for residents to mingle. I would have no hesitation recommending Lound Hall to anyone who wants a loved one to receive top-quality professional care and have peace of mind for themselves.
I have been at Lound Hall for one year and when I originally came for a fortnight. I have always felt settled here although I regret that Lound Hall is not nearer to my home in Lowestoft. On the whole, I have found the other residents amiable and friendly.
I cannot praise this care home enough. My grandmother has been living at Lound Hall Nursing Home for over a year now and is so happy. The care, respect and genuine love for the residents come across every time I visit which is usually once a week. The staff are truly exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this Nursing Home to anyone.
Has been there quite a while now, settled and calls it home.
The office staff are helpful when I call or email.
Plus I am looked after and have my dinner with Mum when I visit.
Lound Hall was like home to home for my dad and for me knowing he was cared for and safe gave me peace of mind.
We are happy with Lound Hall care home because my mum is well looked after there. She is always washed with clean clothes every day. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are very helpful to Mum and us. Would recommend it to family and friends.
The care, support and compassion she enjoyed made those last few weeks the best she enjoyed in quite a while.
When we first spoke to the team, they said:
‘We may not be the poshest home, but we are a homely home’
How very true - and what a difference it makes.
Thank you
