Waltham House

Monthly meetings are held with the manager and staff, in which friends and family can ask questions and bring up any concerns where necessary. Changes are made when requested. Mum is always clean and freshly dressed. The furnishings and facilities may not be bang up to day, but Waltham has a homely atmosphere and cheerful, friendly staff. I am very happy that my mum has been looked after so well.

Encouraged to join in with any activities taking place at time of visit. Resident is treated with care, any questions answered and updates on care relayed. Invitation to join them all for Christmas dinner, or to leave gifts ready under the tree. Spoken to at end of visit, wished well until next visit. So lovely.

My wife and I are so pleased that mum is a resident of Waltham House. The staff are so caring and efficient. The food is very good and it's so pleasant to be offered a meal with mum on occasion. There are regular activities throughout the week which help stimulate the residents. The church services are very beneficial to mum. Don't let any of the staff leave. They are marvellous.

All staff are courteous and caring both with their clients and visitors alike. My wife has been very well looked after these past two years living at Waltham House and I have great admiration for the staff providing a loving, kind and caring service to all that work there. Thank you so much.

Waltham House is full of wonderful kind caring staff who are always happy. It's small enough for all the carers to get to know the families as well as the residents. Food is good and the home is always spotless. Communication is very good between the staff and families.

The home is always extremely clean and my mother's personal needs are very well addressed - she, her clothes, room, and bedding are always pristine. Whilst her moving into a home was an exceptionally difficult time, overall I feel she is now in the best place for both her health and safety.

I have nothing but praise for all the hard-working staff. The administration and nursing staff are always available to discuss any issues if they should arise. The carers are very patient and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and always beautifully presented - coffee/tea, biscuits/cake are available for the residents' visitors if they are visiting whilst staff are doing their rounds with the tea/coffee trolley. The cleanliness is to be commended. I would certainly recommend Waltham House to my family and friends!

The best thing about the home is the activities that are organised twice a day for the residents in the lounge. They work really well at helping with the mental well-being of everyone. The staff are very kind and caring and respectful. They are very patient, understanding, and professional with my mother, who is a very elderly and extremely awkward, difficult, and demanding woman, she is very deaf with very poor eyesight. The staff have reacted very promptly with any medical issues my mother has had. I can relax, knowing she is safe and looked after.

My mother is very happy here.

We were recommended Waltham House by a friend. Everything she said is true. The staff are all, without exception, wonderful. They all know your name (as a family member), all smile, all greet you. The minute you arrive you feel warmth and care. It is always clean, always welcoming, always brilliant. Communication is also brilliant. I feel so lucky my dad is being cared for here - will always recommend and am so grateful he is here. Thank you. Amazing.

Throughout the last year of Covid, I feel the home has treated Mum well with care, respect and safety, to the best of their ability.

Very friendly and helpful staff, providing high standards of care. Excellent management. It is a good place to live if like me, I am now unable to live in my home. Very pleasant room always kept clean and tidy.

This is a genuinely lovely home, which is kept beautifully clean and doesn't smell. Even during the lockdown, the residents were well cared for and stimulated. My mother has clean clothes every day and the staff paint her nails once a week. The whole home is calm and dignified.

Staff are friendly, always polite and helpful. They do a wonderful and caring service. I couldn't have wished for any better. I recommend the home without hesitation.

My father was resident at Waltham House for 1 year when he was no longer able to live at home. I have only words of praise for the care and attention he received whilst living there, he always seemed happy, content and well cared for. The staff really try and make the resident's lives enjoyable, and we were always welcomed whenever we visited, which for my mum almost every day.

During the time mum was at Waltham I was always made welcome and given support during mum's stay.

The manager and administrator are very professional and considerate and always there to help and give advice.

I have no complaints regarding the staff. The secretary was very helpful when paying the rent, very professional. I feel where it let itself down was management - very poor.

We find all staff caring, patient and very kind, always greeted by the admin team on arrival. The food always looks appetising and tasty, my aunty and uncle always seem to enjoy. My aunty has had several trips out with the carer and thoroughly enjoyed the outings.

This is a care home which I would not hesitate to provide an extremely positive review.
